Chapter 10: With Space in Hand, the World is Mine
“Mom, I want her dead. Once she’s dead, when Lu Jianshen comes to take responsibility, I can take her place. Perfect, right?”
“The problem is Jiang Xiangxiang isn’t dead yet. If we kill her now, we’ll go to jail. No, no, absolutely not.”
“Mom, what are you afraid of? Later, we’ll just tell everyone she died of illness. Problem solved.”
“…”
What kind of relatives are these? They’re more like sworn enemies.
Jiang Xiangxiang listened from inside the room, feeling like she was about to explode. It truly shattered her perception of humanity. Considering her own experiences, she suddenly felt there were so many wicked people in this world, every single one of them heartless.
Since they didn’t play fair, she wouldn’t be polite either.
She didn’t believe that evil could truly triumph.
According to the original owner’s memories, her older sister’s name was Jiang Rourou. She spent her days scheming to cause trouble for the original owner, constantly bullying her—just thinking about it made Jiang Xiangxiang angry.
The original owner’s Mom, Ye Meiping, was biased to the extreme. Whatever her older daughter did was right, while whatever her younger daughter did was wrong. The original owner often wondered why her Mom had even bothered giving birth to her if she disliked her so much. In such an environment, the original owner gradually became timid.
As for the original owner, her name was not Jiang Xiangxiang. She should have been called Jiang Xianger. Xianger means to have a son. Because the person registered on the household registration was wrong, she was named Jiang Xiangxiang.
Jiang Xiangxiang felt conflicted. Fortunately, it was just a name change; otherwise, she might not have been able to accept it. But, having come here, she would be the original owner, and the original owner would be her. She would avenge her.
Jiang Xiangxiang didn’t believe it. With her space in hand, she had the world at her fingertips. She had nothing to fear. She would do whatever she needed to do and wouldn’t suffer any losses.
Jiang Rourou continued to persuade Ye Meiping: “Mom, it’s not that I’m impatient, but she’s still alive. What if Brother Jianshencomes to propose?”
Ye Meiping: “Don’t worry, Mom has a way. Haven’t you seen that she’s been delirious these past few days? Even if she hasn’t completely passed away, I’ll… I definitely won’t let her stand in your way.”
Jiang Xiangxiang: “…”
These two were truly ruthless. They were already plotting to murder for profit?
Listening in her room, Jiang Xiangxiang felt her adrenaline surge. She immediately took out a stun gun from her space. She had gotten it in a warehouse in Myanmar, originally intending to use it for self-defense. Now, it was finally useful. If she didn’t deal with them, the original owner’s death would have been in vain. She wasn’t some kind-hearted saint; revenge was necessary.
Ye Meiping hesitated for a moment, then said: “Alright, Mom has a way to handle this. Don’t worry, I won’t let her marry him.”
Jiang Rourou was doubtful: “Really? Mom, don’t lie to me.”
Ye Meiping snorted: “When have I ever lied to you? I always do what you say. Besides, that Lu Jianshen boy looks promising. I heard he’s a high-ranking officer in the army. I’ll feel relieved if you marry him.”
After hearing this, Jiang Rourou immediately beamed with excitement, showering her Mom with compliments, making her laugh.
Jiang Xiangxiang didn’t listen any further. She opened the door and glared at them, one short and stout, the other sharp-faced. Truly a Mom-daughter pair. Their consciences were black, or perhaps made of coal. They were disgusting.
She even started to doubt her own looks. If the original owner looked like them, she would have been truly upset.
Seeing her come out, Ye Meiping was the first to attack, her face displeased: “Jiang Xiangxiang, get up and do your chores. Wash the dishes, wash the clothes. Who are you trying to scare with that broken stick?”
Jiang Xiangxiang smiled slightly: “I’m scaring you.”
Jiang Rourou: “Jiang Xiangxiang, you’ve gone mad! How can you talk to Mom like that? Have you no manners?”
Jiang Xiangxiang: “Come here, I’ll tell you.”
Jiang Xiangxiang looked harmless, as if she didn’t plan to do anything.
Jiang Rourou didn’t think anything was wrong. She thought Jiang Xiangxiang was just acting strange because she had just woken up. She went over, thinking that if things got out of hand, she could just beat her up.
However, as soon as she got close, before she could even touch her, she felt a tingling sensation all over her body, followed by convulsions, and she fell to the ground.
Jiang Xiangxiang’s expression was indifferent, as if she were looking at a corpse. She had to say, the things she brought back from Myanmar were useful. If she wasn’t mistaken, it was self-charging. She would just put it out in the sun to recharge it later. One stick could last a lifetime—not bad, not bad.
Seeing her older daughter being bullied, Ye Meiping’s face changed instantly. She rushed over to help her, scolding: “Jiang Xiangxiang, what did you do? Did you get your brain fried by a fever? Apologize to your sister!”
Jiang Xiangxiang: “I think it’s you who’s got a fried brain. I’ll return the words to you. If you’re sick, go get treatment. Don’t try to show off in front of me. Oh well, equality for all, you should get a wake-up call too.”
This Mom and daughter—this heartless Mom and daughter—were trying to kill her, so it was only right for her to fight back. Of course, she couldn’t electrocute them to death; otherwise, things would get messy.
Jiang Xiangxiang gave each of them a light shock and stopped. She looked around, seeing the only octagonal table and chair in the room. She walked over and sat down.
Ye Meiping, seeing her like this, was so angry that she pointed at her, trembling. She was also a little surprised. Was she possessed by a ghost?
How did she suddenly become like this?
She almost didn’t recognize Jiang Xiangxiang. She looked so unfamiliar. Before, when she had been mean to Jiang Xiangxiang, she hadn’t been like this.
Ye Meiping had always been confident that Jiang Xiangxiang was soft and easy to manipulate, that she could do whatever she wanted to her.
This was abnormal.
Yes, yes, yes. As long as she was fierce enough to suppress her, she would return to normal. After all, she had always seemed quite filial, so she would act like the Mom.
“Jiang Xiangxiang, I am your Mom.”
“Yes, otherwise, why do you think you can talk to me here?” Jiang Xiangxiang asked back, looking innocent. “Come on, Mom, tell me what you were planning to do to me. And, I was unconscious, and you didn’t even call a doctor or take me to the hospital. Did you want me to die, huh?”
“You impudent little vixen! Listen to what you’re saying!” Ye Meiping immediately became furious, shouting: “I think you want to die!”
