Only then did I realize how deeply our memories are: Chapter 3-3

During math class, Qianye received the most exciting news— the school was offering a remedial class program. Every two classes would form a unit, and every Friday afternoon, in the multimedia classroom, there would be a total of nine courses offered. Students could freely choose the subjects they wanted to improve and attend the respective classes. After hearing this from the homeroom teacher, a light seemed to shine in Qianye’s heart. With this opportunity, she could attend the same class as him, in the same classroom, and quietly watch his figure, observing the way he attended class.

Qianye silently endured the week. Her anxious heart finally settled the moment the bell for class rang.

That afternoon, she arrived at school early. The moment she saw Han Chao and Zhao Nanzhuo, she followed them all the way. It was obvious that she cared deeply, yet she pretended to be casual as she walked into the same class with them.

Han Chao and Zhao Nanzhuo sat in the first group, third row. Qianye found a seat in the second group, fourth row. Her head tilted slightly to the right, and she could clearly see his back, his profile, and the way he held his pen while taking notes. It felt as though even his breath was near her ear.

During class, Han Chao was very serious. His books and notes were neatly stacked. His Casio watch glinted slightly in the light coming from the window. After that, what Qianye looked forward to the most was Friday— being in the same classroom with him, and keeping the same seat as today.

Soon, Qianye experienced the downside of this habit, because the class she chose with Han Chao was the geography remedial class. For students who would eventually study the sciences, geography was completely unnecessary.

This was probably Han Chao’s personal interest, though who could really say? In class, Han Chao responded fluently to the teacher and was very well-liked, even being appointed as the class representative for the subject. Geography was Qianye’s weakness, and the Earth model kept spinning, making her dizzy. So, Qianye’s main task every Friday afternoon naturally became observing Han Chao. She always managed to avoid his gaze when he occasionally turned to look at her.

As the end of the semester approached, the remedial class teacher suddenly announced that they would have a test. The students grumbled, but there was nothing they could do. Qianye was especially stunned. Some girls gathered around Han Chao, asking him how to do well in geography.

Zhao Nanzhuo, who was nearby, mischievously answered for Han Chao, “First, you have to like geography.”

“And then?” the girl asked. “

Then, you have to like the geography class representative…” Before he could finish, Han Chao kicked him. Qianye, watching from the side, couldn’t help but laugh.

On the day of the final test, Qianye looked at the paper and felt a sense of defeat for the first time. The questions were all confusing, and as the class was about to end, she couldn’t hold back the tears. When the bell rang, everyone handed their papers to the class representative.

Qianye wiped her tears and handed her paper to Han Chao. He looked at the ink that had blurred on the paper, and there was a hint of sadness, perhaps even sympathy. Once most of the classmates had left, Qianye watched as Han Chao took her test paper, which had been written neatly and carefully, and changed the name on it to “Qianye.” Then he wrote his name on her paper…

Author’s note: Hehe, the system is finally working properly! Don’t worry, I won’t abandon the story. I uploaded the whole book after finishing it. If you like it, remember to share it with your friends, and don’t forget to save and rate it. Mwah!
