Chapter 12: From Now On, You Belong to Me
Staring in shock at Luo Sang, Fei Li tried desperately to push his head away. “Wh-what are you doing?”
Luo Sang released his bite and looked up at him. “From now on, you belong to me.”
“…” Is this what everyone calls marking?
He winced at the pain from his wound, wondering if the orc’s teeth were poisonous.
Would being bitten by an orc turn him into one too? He suddenly remembered a zombie movie he had seen, sending a chill down his spine.
Without giving him a chance to think, Luo Sang approached him again and glanced lightly at his stomach.
“Don’t worry. When the cub in your belly is born, I will raise it with you.”
After saying all this, Fei Li finally understood.
It turns out Luo Sang thought something had happened between them last night. Unexpectedly, this orc had quite a sense of responsibility.
He smiled secretly in his heart. He thought that with Luo Sang’s status in the tribe, he could now walk around with more confidence.
Thinking of this, he couldn’t hide the smile on his face.
Luo Sang leaned closer and pinched his fair cheek. “From now on, you need to eat more and get fatter, or else everyone will think I can’t take care of you.”
As Luo Sang said this, Fei Li realized he was indeed hungry.
“I’m hungry!”
Luo Sang brought out the house’s stored food, a hefty wild boar leg.
The wild boars in the primitive tribe were much larger than modern pigs, and one boar leg equaled two modern pig legs.
Fei Li quickly gathered some firewood to start a fire, then rubbed a bit of salt on the boar leg and began roasting it.
In a short time, the wild boar leg roasted until it turned into a crispy golden brown. It fills the entire house with a tantalizing aroma.
Luo Sang watched him curiously. “Does everyone in your tribe know how to roast meat?”
Fei Li paused, recalling the surprised looks of his tribesmen when they saw him roasting meat. He quickly shook his head.
“I escaped from another tribe. In my homeland, everyone knows how to roast meat. We are very particular about our food.”
Frowning, Luo Sang repeated his words, “Particular?”
“It means we don’t eat raw meat.”
Luo Sang stared at him, not quite understanding what he’s doing, like he had found a treasure.
At this moment, some people passing by Luo Sang’s house couldn’t help but stop, the enticing aroma of roasted meat makes it hard for them to move away.
From time to time, some curious individuals peeked into Luo Sang’s house. If they weren’t afraid of disrespecting Luo Sang, they would have rushed inside to see what was going on.
Once the meat was roasted, Fei Li tore off a large piece for Luo Sang first. After serving Luo Sang, he finally started eating.
After eating his fill, Fei Li sat on the ground, contentedly rubbing his round belly.
This was the first full meal he had since arriving here.
Luo Sang stood up and nudged him. “Didn’t you want salt sand? I’ll take you to find it.”
Salt sand? Salt!
He hurriedly followed Luo Sang, realizing that his future ability to eat well here depended on this salt.
They walked for most of the day, and Fei Li’s legs felt like they were about to break.
Finally, Luo Sang led him to a primitive seaside. Looking at the azure blue water, Fei Li forgot all his complaints.
It was a relatively small sea, with waves constantly crashing against the surrounding rocks, leaving many sea creatures residing in the crevices.
He approached the water’s edge and, through the clear sea water, he could see some fish and shrimp swimming.
Luo Sang came over and pointed to a corner of the beach. “There is salt sand.”
Following Luo Sang’s gaze, he saw a patch of white sand that reflected a blinding light under the sun.
Excited, he walked towards the salt. Suddenly, the sea began to roar, and an unknown creature jumped out of the water.
