Chapter 13: Water Clan’s Wu Yue
Fei Li took an unsteady step back, staring in horror at the creature towering over him.
Seeing this, Luo Sang quickly shielded him and immediately transformed into his white wolf form.
“Wolf Tribe?” The creature in the water glanced at them coldly. “Our Water Clan has never had any deals with your wolf Tribe. What are you doing here?”
They had intruded into the Water Clan’s territory, hence the creature’s anger.
Fei Li said, “Luo Sang, don’t make a move yet. Let me talk to him.”
Slowly stepping out from behind Luo Sang, he stood in front of the water creature. “We didn’t mean to intrude into the Water Clan’s territory. We just wanted some salt sand.”
“Why should we give our tribe’s resources to you?”
“…”
That actually made some sense, and he was at a loss for words!
Looking up at the water creature, he refused to give up. “My name is Fei Li, and this is Luo Sang. We’re from the nearby wolf tribe. Since our tribes are so close, why not form an alliance and help each other out? What do you think?”
The water creature looked disdainful, clearly uninterested in his suggestion.
Luo Sang has lost all his patience. In this world of survival of the fittest. Instead of wasting time talking nonsense, it was better to take action.
With a roar, Luo Sang pounced directly at the water creature, and the two began to fight.
The water creature, resembling a winged fish, was agile and dodged Luo Sang’s attacks with ease.
After several exchanges, Luo Sang gradually gained the upper hand, and it looked like the water creature would soon be subdued.
At that moment, the water creature turned and attacked Fei Li.
Luo Sang growled, “You’re courting death.”
Before the water creature’s attack could reach Fei Li, Luo Sang had already bitten its neck.
Fei Li looked at the water creature smugly. ‘See what happens when you don’t listen to me?’
“Luo Sang, let him go!”
Having finally subdued the water creature, Luo Sang was reluctant to release it.
“He can’t beat you anyway. Even if you let him go, he won’t be able to escape anywhere.”
Upon hearing this, Luo Sang released the water creature and transformed back into his human form.
The water creature scrutinized them for a long time before also taking on a human form.
Staring at the water creature, Fei Li exclaimed in surprise, “Are all orcs in the primitive society this good-looking?”
The water creature in front of him had a white skin that seemed to glow and he had striking dark green eyes.
Fei Li stepped forward and patted his shoulder. “What’s your name? Are you a mermaid?”
Perhaps because he knew the water creature wasn’t a threat, Fei Li felt a growing curiosity about him.
The water creature dodged his touch with a disdainful snort. “I’m Wu Yue from the Mermaid Tribe. Since I’ve lost to you, the salt sand is yours.”
“Really? That’s great!”
Seeing Fei Li’s joy, Wu Yue’s eyes flickered.
Luo Sang is dissatisfied and pulls Fei Li back into his arms. Wu Yue’s gaze just now made Luo Sang understand instantly.
Feeling displeased that someone else was eyeing what was his, Luo Sang bared his teeth and dragged Fei Li to collect the salt sand. He just wanted to return to the tribe.
After filling a large amount of salt sand into animal skins they had brought, the two were about to leave.
Wu Yue suddenly called out, “Wait!”
Luo Sang bared his teeth at Wu Yue, ready to fight again.
Ignoring Luo Sang’s anger, Wu Yue approached Fei Li. “How long have you been here?”
Fei Li trembled all over!
He looked into Wu Yue’s eyes, he felt as if Wu Yue could see right through him.
Wu Yue’s lips curled into a smile as he leaned in to whisper something in Fei Li’s ear before walking back into the sea.
