Chapter 15: Catching Fish
Join another tribe?
For such a small matter, joining another tribe seemed unlikely!
Just as Fei Li was about to speak, Mao Li continued, “Lord Luo Sang, I know you’ve always had issues with Yin Lang, but if he joins another tribe, it would be bad for our tribe.”
Luo Sang frowned and remained silent.
“Why?” Fei Li couldn’t hold back any longer.
“Yin Lang is a warrior of our tribe. He is stronger than most orcs. If he joins another tribe and leads them to attack us, then…”
Mao Li didn’t finish his sentence but looked at Luo Sang instead.
“Let him go. If he betrays our tribe, I will kill him,” Luo Sang said, clenching his fists, looking as if he wanted to get rid of the threat as soon as possible.
“But…”
“Enough. Leave now!”
After Mao Li left, Luo Sang was silent for a moment before looking at Fei Li. “I need to patrol around the tribe. Stay at home and don’t go anywhere.”
Without waiting for a response, Luo Sang left with his weapon.
Looking at Luo Sang’s departing figure, Fei Li felt a bit complicated inside. Was Luo Sang worried about him?
He didn’t expect this seemingly fierce orc to have such a caring side.
With nothing else to do, he found a piece of hard animal skin.
He poured the dried salt sand onto the animal skin and he began to sift out the small sand from the salt.
He had seen his grandmother do this in the countryside but had never tried it himself.
At the beginning, his sifting motions were clumsy, and he ended up spilling both the salt sand and the small grains of sand onto the ground several times, which made him feel heartbroken each time.
After many attempts, he finally managed to sift out the small grains of sand skillfully.
Looking at the snow-white salt sand, he carefully stored it away like a treasure.
In this primitive tribe, the ability to eat well depended on this precious salt sand.
Having obtained salt, he started thinking about other foods. Eating greasy roasted meat every day was hard on his stomach.
He remembered the river in the tribe.
In this primitive environment, where there was a river, there was surely to have a fish.
In no time, he found himself at the river.
Looking at the crystal-clear water, a smug smile appeared on his lips.
He found a wooden stick, sharpened one end with a stone knife, and stood in the river. His eyes focused on the fish swimming below.
Seeing a fish swim by his feet, he quickly speared it, successfully catching a big, fat fish.
Just as he was feeling happy with his catch, a familiar figure appeared by the river.
“Is following Luo Sang isn’t enough to fill your stomach? Are you even interested in such things?” Yin Lang’s disdainful voice reached his ears, making him instantly wary.
Yin Lang was a warrior of the wolf tribe, he definitely couldn’t beat him.
Standing in the water, he had no way to escape. What should he do?
Seeming to read his thoughts, Yin Lang grabbed him out of the water, disdainfully eyeing the fish in his hand. “We wolves are particularly fond of such things. If you take it back, Luo Sang will surely like it.”
“Really?” Fei Li’s eyes brightened.
“Of course, would I lie to you?”
Fei Li eyed Yin Lang suspiciously. Was he being this kind-hearted?
Judging the various signs, it was an undeniable fact that the relationship between the two is not good.
He didn’t believe Yin Lang would be friendly to him.
Seeing the strange look in his eyes, Yin Lang snatched the fish from his hand. “If you don’t believe me, then give it to me! I happen to like it a lot.”
Reflexively, Fei Li grabbed the fish back from Yin Lang and hurriedly ran back home with it.
