Chapter 17: Luo Sang is Attacked
Standing against the light, Luo Sang stared expressionlessly at the two of them, looking as if he had caught someone cheating.
Fei Li knew he had fallen for Yin Lang’s scheme. He threw away the fish and hurried back to Luo Sang’s side.
“Lord Luo Sang, this fish was Yin Lang’s idea. I didn’t know fish was a taboo in the tribe.”
For now, saving his own life was the priority, so he chose not to mention being thrown out by Luo Sang.
A glint of cold light appeared in Luo Sang’s eyes as he coldly stared at Yin Lang. “Are you looking for death?”
Yin Lang seemed unaware of Luo Sang’s burning anger and smiled nonchalantly.
“I haven’t lived enough. Why would I be seeking death?” Yin Lang seemed to deliberately provoke Luo Sang, with hostility in his tone.
What deep-seated grudge do these two have? Why do they always look like they want to fight whenever they meet?
Fei Li sensed the intense hostility between them and took a step back.
In an instant, Luo Sang transformed into his wolf form and pounced fiercely at Yin Lang.
Yin Lang, not to be outdone, transformed into a white wolf, and the two wolves began to tear at each other.
The air was filled with murderous intent, and Fei Li could only hear the wolves’ roars, not daring to look at the scene of their battle.
Gradually, Yin Lang began to fall into a disadvantage. Just as he was about to be overwhelmed, he suddenly shifted back to his human form and pulled out a handful of gray-white powder from his pocket, throwing it directly at Luo Sang.
Luo Sang charged forward with the wind, and the gray-white powder flew into his eyes. He immediately stopped, feeling a sharp pain in his eyes.
Seeing this, Yin Lang limped away, fleeing.
Noticing something was wrong, Fei Li rushed to Luo Sang’s side and asked, “What happened to you?”
Luo Sang shoved him aside and staggered forward.
As Fei Li tried to catch up, his keen eyes spotted the gray-white powder on the ground. He crouched down to examine it.
Sniffing the powder and taking another look, he suddenly realized it was powdered limestone mixed with crushed shells.
Limestone and shells, combined with some high-calcium carbonate, can be made into lime.
If this powder got into Luo Sang’s eyes, it could be very dangerous!
He quickly caught up with Luo Sang and chased him to the edge of the small river.
Seeing that Luo Sang was about to wash his eyes with water, he used all his strength to pull Luo Sang back.
Although the powder wasn’t as severe as lime in burning the eyes, it would still be harmful if it came into contact with water.
He hadn’t expected Yin Lang to be so malicious.
Luo Sang, frustrated by the interruption, pushed him away and reached for the water again.
Holding tightly onto Luo Sang’s arm, Fei Li shouted, “Don’t use water!”
Ignoring Luo Sang’s resistance, he pushed him down onto a nearby rock.
Next, he found some plantain leaves and told Luo Sang to open his eyes. “Don’t move your eyes around. I’ll use the leaves to help remove the powder.”
Fortunately, the powder wasn’t actual lime powder, and Luo Sang had been cautious, so only a small amount had gotten into his eyes.
He used the juice from the plantain leaves to slowly remove the powder from Luo Sang’s eyes.
In a short while, Luo Sang’s eyes were able to open with some effort.
“How are you feeling now?”
As Luo Sang saw who was in front of him, his anger gradually subsided.
“It’s not as painful as before,” Luo Sang responded tersely.
Seeing him seriously clean the powder from his eyes, Luo Sang felt a warmth he hadn’t experienced since his parents’ death.
This man in front of him actually made him want to get closer. Luo Sang reached out to grasp his hand, his deep gaze fixed on him.
“You…”
