Chapter 19: Assisting with Birth

Luo Sang’s intense gaze gradually softened, and he released Fei Li from his embrace.

Luo Sang and Fei Li were awakened by a series of shouts. They went outside to find the source of the noise.

An orc figure knelt in front of their house. Upon seeing Luo Sang, he immediately performed a respectful gesture.

“Lord Luo Sang, my partner is in labor and unable to give birth. He is covered in blood and near death. Please, let me seek the help of a mermaid tribe Witch doctor!”

As the orc raised his eyes, Fei Li saw the redness in them. It was another infatuated orc.

Before it was like Mao Li who’s kneeling in front of Luo Sang.

The mention of the mermaid tribe immediately darkened Luo Sang’s expression.

Fei Li was startled by how quickly Luo Sang’s mood changed.

He wondered how Luo Sang, who disliked fish and the mermaid tribe, could agree to bring a mermaid Witch doctor to the tribe.

Fei Li looked around, placed some dry grass under Vina, and turned to Mu Dong. “Get me some water, the more, the better.”

Without the means to heat the water, he had to make do with cool water.

The sun rose early in the primitive tribe, so even the morning river water was warm enough not to be too cold.

After wiping the blood off Vina with water, Fei Li began to assist with the delivery.

After carefully examining, Fei Li found that the baby’s position was normal, but the head was slightly large and had become stuck.

Moreover, the lack of basic medical knowledge among the orcs meant Vina had exerted too much force, causing severe tearing and excessive bleeding.

After identifying the problem, Fei Li breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, this wasn’t the modern kind of labor complications. Otherwise, with the limited medical conditions here, he would be helpless.

He instructed Vina to breathe in and out, and when Vina had rested sufficiently, he advised him to push gradually.

Indeed, Vina felt less pain this time.

When the baby’s head emerged, Fei Li supported the shoulders and with a final push, pulled the baby out.

Vina felt a surge of intense pain followed by relief, as if he had been reborn and was finally at ease.
