Chapter 26: Fei Li is Missing

Fei Li left home and headed towards the northern part of the village.

The northern area was densely populated with a tribe quite few residents.

Thinking about the verbally contradictory Luo Sang, he felt warm in his heart and continued walking forward.

Suddenly, everything went black, and he completely lost consciousness.

When he woke up again, he looked at the unfamiliar surroundings in front of him and felt a chill in his heart.

Could this be another revenge act by Wude?

He subconsciously looked down at his body. He didn’t see any injuries and found he could move freely.

Standing up, he looked at the environment. It seemed to be a cave.

The area was eerily silent. Who on earth would bring him here?

“Is anyone there?”

Apart from an echo from the depths of the cave, there was no response.

Just as he was about to walk out of the cave, an anxious figure appeared in front of him.

“Soma? Why are you here!”

Soma was carrying a bunch of dry grass and, when he saw Fei Li had woken up, he immediately put on a flattering smile.

“Master, you’re awake. Are you hungry? I’ll go find you something to eat.”

Soma entered the cave and spread the dry grass on the ground, making a bed-like nest for him.

“We’ll stay here tonight, and tomorrow we’ll continue our journey.”

After quickly setting up the “bed,” Soma turned to look at the silent Fei Li.

Staring at Soma in confusion, Fei Li found himself unable to understand Soma’s words. “Journey? Where are we going?”

“Did you knock me out and bring me here?”

Soma showed his white teeth in a smile, nodding proudly.

Leaning closer to him, Soma explained, “The orcs are all bad. They even want to kill you. Master, you’re not safe in the Wolf Tribe. I’m taking you away from here.”

What?

Fei Li was completely unable to process this.

“I…” He sighed heavily, realizing that Soma seemed a bit dull-witted and seemed not to understand what he was trying to convey.

Seeing the worried look on his face, Soma’s smile disappeared abruptly. “Master, what’s wrong? Are you unhappy?”

Fei Li sat down on the “bed” Soma had prepared. “Do you think I can be happy?”

He had been living comfortably in the tribe, with no worries about food or clothing, and had Luo Sang protecting him.

“Master, I’ll find you something to eat. Wait here for me.”

Watching Soma’s retreating figure, Fei Li fell into deep thought.

Honestly, he didn’t want to leave with Soma. But being unfamiliar with the area, how could he return to the Wolf Tribe?

He needed to figure out how to convince Soma to take him back.

After a while, Soma returned happily with a wild rabbit and some wild fruits.

He took out a stone knife, cleaned the rabbit, and handed Fei Li a plump leg.

“Do your tribes also eat raw meat?”

He pushed away the bloody rabbit leg, the earthy smell almost made him vomit.

Soma nodded, puzzled. “We’ve always eaten it like this. Don’t you like it?”

Primitive people!

Fei Li instructed Soma to gather some dry branches. Using his firestone, he started a fire and began roasting the rabbit meat.

After it was cooked, he handed a piece to Soma.

Soma tasted it, his bright eyes filled with joy. “It’s delicious. Master, you’re amazing.”

He had gained a little admirer!

After they were full, the sky darkened.

Fei Li lay on the “bed,” with his mind filled with thoughts about Luo Sang.

He had been gone for a day, did Luo Sang miss him?

Would he be searching for him?

Thinking of Luo Sang’s occasional concern, a smile unknowingly formed on his lips.

At this moment, in the Wolf Tribe, Luo Sang rushed into Wude’s house like a madman.

Furiously, he grabbed Wude. His blood-red eyes seemed to spark with fire.

Wude, who’s already blind and useless from being injured by Fei Li, showed no fear of Luo Sang. His face was just full of indifference.

“Where is Fei Li?”

When he heard his enemy’s name, a rare trace of anger appeared on Wude’s face.

However, Bafu quickly explained, “We haven’t seen Fei Li all day. Did something happen to him again?”

In their old tribe, Fei Li was constantly causing trouble.

Now, in this new place, he was still the same, and Bafu’s heart gradually filled with dissatisfaction.

Luo Sang looked coldly down at Bafu, “Are you sure you haven’t seen Fei Li?”

“Really, we’ve been home all day taking care of Wude. We haven’t gone out at all. If you don’t believe me, you can ask the others around here. They can all prove that we didn’t leave.”

Slowly releasing Wude, Luo Sang immediately thought of Yin Lang.

Leaving Wude’s house in a flash, Luo Sang headed straight to Yin Lang’s place.

Wude chuckled and instructed, “Quickly, go find out what happened to Fei Li.”

As the night grew deeper, Luo Sang searched the entire tribe but found no trace of Fei Li.

How could a living person suddenly disappear?

Clenching his fists, Luo Sang let out an angry roar in the darkness.

At this time, the humans who’s watching Luo Sang not far away whispered amongst themselves.

“I heard that Fei Li is missing. Lord Luo Sang has been looking for him for a long time.”

“How could he just disappear?”

“Maybe he was afraid of Wude’s revenge and ran away from the tribe?”

“With Lord Luo Sang’s protection, why would he run away?”

“……”

The voices, neither too loud nor too soft , still reached Luo Sang’s ears.

The anger that he had just managed to suppress flared up again.

Fei Li, did you really run away?

Thinking of this possibility, Luo Sang felt a wave of sadness in his chest.

“Lord Qian Shi, I smell a human scent here,” an orc following Qian Shi also sniffed.

Human?

The other orcs began to search the cave, looking for any humans.

Ever since their last battle with Luo Sang, the entire Lion Tribe had been living in the shadow of the Wolf Tribe’s torches.

Qian Shi frowned, “No, the human scent is very strong here. They must still be in the cave.”
