Chapter 82: My Man, You Have No Right to Criticize
“After you gave Mao Li the medicine, you disappeared. Isn’t that just leaving without a word?” Aola’s eyes were filled with resentment as he looked at Fei Li. Mao Li, who had been somewhat conscious, had now fallen into a coma just like Luo Sang.
Seeing the leader in a coma, the tribe members were anxious but felt helpless.
Xiao Chun also came out of the house, looking at Fei Li with a hint of blame. “Lord Fei Li, where have you been all day? We saw that Luo Sang and Mao Li’s conditions were getting worse, and with no other options, we had to inform the tribe.”
Since Luo Sang was the tribe’s leader, his unconscious state was a serious matter, and Xiao Chun and Aola’s actions were understandable.
Fei Li, looking at the spiritual spring water in his hands, didn’t have time to explain. He went straight into the house.
As he took a step forward, Aola and Heng Qi blocked his way.
Aola glanced at the water in his hand and said coldly, “What are you planning to do now? Do you intend to continue harming Lord Luo Sang?”
The observing orcs were silent, but their eyes showed hints of reproach towards Fei Li.
“Get out of the way,” Fei Li’s gaze was as sharp as a blade.
“I won’t let you. I won’t let you continue harming Lord Luo Sang,” Aola insisted.
Heng Qi, glancing at Mao Li, chimed in, “Yes, I can’t let you harm Mao Li any further.”
With a sigh, Fei Li’s cold eyes fixed on Aola and Heng Qi.
“Fine, if I don’t go in, do you have a way to save them?”
The two exchanged glances, unable to respond.
“If you don’t, then get out of my way.”
His icy words penetrated their ears, making them shiver.
The onlookers no longer dared to stop him and allowed him to enter the house.
As Fei Li busied himself, Aola, who was about to enter the house, was stopped by Xiao Chun. “At this point, you shouldn’t go in unless you really want Lord Luo Sang to die.”
Aola grimaced, and the words caught in his throat were swallowed back.
Fei Li used the spiritual spring water he brought back to make medicine. This time, the medicinal scent in the room carried a faint, pleasant aroma.
It was completely different from last time!
After the smell emerged, he continued to simmer the medicine on low heat until the aroma became stronger. Then, he ladled out a small bowl of medicine.
Everyone stared intently at the medicine in his hand, looking like they had something to say.
Fei Li took the medicine and drank it all in one go.
“Lord Fei Li—” Xiao Chun looked at him with concern.
After a while, when everyone saw that he showed no unusual reactions, they began to trust him completely.
He then ladled out two more bowls of medicine, handing one to Heng Qi and keeping one to administer to Luo Sang.
Outside, Aola rushed to Luo Sang’s bedside, trying to take the medicine bowl from Fei Li.
“Getaway. When did it become your place to tend to my man?”
Ignoring Aola, Fei Li continued to feed Luo Sang the medicine.
After Luo Sang took the medicine, his high fever began to subside somewhat, and his complexion was no longer as pale as before.
Fei Li checked Luo Sang’s pulse. It had finally stabilized, and the previous oddities had disappeared.
He quickly moved to Mao Li and checked his pulse.
Seeing that both of their pulses were now normal, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Heng Qi, noticing Mao Li showing signs of waking up, was the first to speak. “Mao Li, how are you feeling?”
Mao Li slowly opened his eyes, glanced wearily at Heng Qi, and then looked at Fei Li.
“I’m not dead?”
Heng Qi nodded.
“It’s all my fault. If I had listened to Fei Li, I wouldn’t have been bitten by the scorpion, and I wouldn’t have caused him more trouble.”
Seemingly recalling something, Mao Li tried to move, wanting to sit up.
Fei Li held him down. “You can’t move around yet. Rest well!”
“Is… Is Lord Luo Sang okay? Has he woken up?”
Fei Li looked back at Luo Sang and shook his head.
Luo Sang’s poisoning had lasted longer than Mao Li’s, and with the additional delay of one night, it would take more time to completely cleanse the toxins from his body.
Ignoring his own condition, Mao Li insisted on sitting up. Heng Qi, unable to refuse him, helped him into a sitting position.
Looking at Luo Sang, still unconscious in bed, Mao Li’s face showed concern. “When will Lord Luo Sang wake up?” Mao Li’s voice was weak.
“Don’t worry, he’ll wake up soon. You should go home and rest. Heng Qi will take good care of Mao Li.”
After giving these instructions, he had a few orcs carry Mao Li back to his home.
Since Luo Sang needed to rest, the tribe members gathered outside also began to leave.
At this point, only Aola remained, watching him with a vigilant gaze.
After applying another round of medicine to Luo Sang, he pulled Aola outside.
Aola struggled to break free, fearfully asking, “What do you want to do?”
Releasing Aola, he met Aola’s terrified eyes. “Shouldn’t I be asking you what you’re doing?”
“What do you mean?”
Fei Li exuded an aura of authority that made Aola feel guilty and unable to meet his gaze.
With a cold snort, Fei Li’s demeanor turned even more unfriendly. “If it weren’t for you ruining the seedlings, Luo Sang and I wouldn’t have had to go out in the middle of the night to capture you, which led to Luo Sang being bitten by a poisonous scorpion. This is all because of you.”
Aola’s face changed, and he lowered his head, not daring to respond.
“If Luo Sang wakes up, I won’t hold this against you. But if there’s even a slight problem with Luo Sang, I will make sure you regret your foolish actions.” With that, he turned and went back inside.
Aola initially intended to follow him in but was stopped by Fei Li’s fierce gaze, and he no longer dared to approach the house.
After two days of constant effort, Fei Li was also somewhat fatigued. Seeing that Luo Sang’s condition had improved a lot, he fell asleep at the edge of the bed.
In the middle of the night, he woke up, reheated the medicine, and fed Luo Sang another large bowl.
Then, he lay down again at the edge of the bed and continued to sleep.
In his drowsy state, he felt as though someone was watching him. He opened his eyes to find himself staring directly into Luo Sang’s dark eyes.
Overwhelmed with emotion, he disregarded everything and hugged Luo Sang’s neck.
“You’re finally awake.”
Luo Sang was almost out of breath from the embrace but was reluctant to push him away.
Just as he was about to speak, Luo Sang heard Fei Li talking to himself, “Am I dreaming?”
He released Luo Sang, pinched his own face, and frowned. “It doesn’t seem to hurt.”
He pinched the tender flesh of his thigh again and finally felt pain this time.
“It’s real, not a dream. You’re really awake, really awake.” He was so happy he didn’t know what to say, just repeating the same words.
Luo Sang smiled and, seeing the bruising under his eyes, pulled him into an embrace with tenderness.
“How long did I sleep?”
“Two days and three nights. If you hadn’t woken up, I would have…”
“What would you have done?” Luo Sang’s voice was still hoarse from just waking up.
He looked up from Luo Sang’s embrace, gazing at him with deep affection. “I would have died with you. I can’t bear to be separated from you anymore.”
The two had been apart for three years, which felt as long as three lifetimes.
Now, not even three years, but three days or three hours, he couldn’t bear to be apart from him.
Those in love wish to be together every moment.
Before dawn, in the dimly lit room, Fei Li couldn’t see the turbulence in Luo Sang’s eyes.
For many years after this, Luo Sang would remember what Fei Li said today and, regardless of what Fei Li did, always believed that Fei Li was still the same as at the beginning.
The two clung tightly to each other, sharing their feelings of longing over the past few days.
The next day, Mao Li was the first to arrive at Luo Sang’s home, rushing inside without regard for anything.
“Fei Li, I’m better now, I’m just like usual.”
As Mao Li reached the door, he felt a cold stare and quickly fell silent.
Seeing Luo Sang lazily sitting on the bed, gazing with extreme tenderness at the sleeping Fei Li, Mao Li had a momentary illusion.
That cold stare earlier couldn’t have come from Lord Luo Sang.
Mao Li quietly approached Luo Sang, his eyes red. “Lord Luo Sang, you’re finally awake. If you hadn’t woken up, I would have… I would have thrown up the medicine and given it all to you.”
Luo Sang looked at Mao Li with disdain. What nonsensical things was he saying?
Wiping his slightly damp eyes, Mao Li forced a smile. “That’s great, we’re all fine now. I must share this good news with everyone.” Mao Li hurriedly left after saying this.
After Mao Li left, Fei Li groggily opened his eyes and muttered, “Did someone come just now?”
What a bothersome racket!
“No one came. Just go back to sleep,” Luo Sang gently patted his back, soothing him like a child.
Turning over, Fei Li was about to close his eyes and continue sleeping when the words of the Spirit Spring suddenly came to mind.
He quickly got up and said, “There’s something I need to discuss with you.”
“What is it?”
“To save you this time, I owe it all to Elder Su and the Spirit Spring.”
Luo Sang looked puzzled. “The Spirit Spring?”
Fei Li told Luo Sang everything about Elder Su directing him to find the Spirit Spring and the promise he made to the Spirit Spring.
After hearing this, Luo Sang was silent for a long time.
“Now that you’re well, I must fulfill my promise to the Spirit Spring, or it will definitely abandon me,” Luo Sang said.
Luo Sang suddenly grasped Fei Li’s hand. “Alright, I’ll go with you.”
“You’re going too?”
“How can I let you go to such a place alone?”
They didn’t yet know where the Spirit Spring’s source was, nor what kind of orcs tribes might be there.
But one thing was clear to them: the journey would be very dangerous.
Luo Sang naturally didn’t want Fei Li to face danger alone.
After agreeing, Luo Sang called a meeting of the tribe’s orcs to explain the situation to everyone.
The tribe had no objections to the leader’s decision.
Fei Li also found Xiao Chun and handed over the management of the rice fields to him.
He specifically instructed Xiao Chun to check the fields daily and not to slack off.
With all arrangements in place, the two set off.
Before leaving, Fei Li used his spiritual power to set up an invisible barrier around the tribe’s surroundings.
The barrier would block any orcs or wild beasts from other tribes that tried to intrude.
After everything was prepared, Fei Li returned to Luo Sang, and they set off hand in hand.
At this moment, a sneaky figure was watching them from not far away…
