Orc Husband, Please Be Gentle Chapter 98

Chapter 98: The Truth About Infertility

Everyone was momentarily stunned, but then they quickly came to their senses.

“Lord Fei Li, I’ve prepared your favorite roasted meat, come to my house for dinner!”

“I just dug up a lot of fish mint, come to my house for dinner!”

“I have wild chicken eggs at my place.”

“I have…” Faced with everyone’s enthusiastic invitations, Fei Li simply smiled and looked at Luo Sang, not accepting their kindness.

Luo Sang turned his gaze softly to Fei Li. “You can go wherever you want to eat.”

“Really?”

Luo Sang didn’t like others entering his house and didn’t like going to others’ houses either.

He was well aware of these little quirks.

Thinking about leaving Luo Sang alone, he dismissed the idea of eating at someone else’s house and looked at the eager crowd in front of him.

“I appreciate everyone’s kindness, but instead of going to your houses for dinner, how about you lend me some ingredients, and I’ll cook at home?” Upon hearing this, everyone immediately went home and returned with their prized ingredients, stuffing them into Fei Li’s hands.

Seeing Fei Li satisfied with the ingredients he was holding, Luo Sang remarked with a hint of envy, “I didn’t expect you to be so popular in the tribe.”

“Of course! I’m a charming guy, everyone loves me, and flowers bloom wherever I go.”

He turned back, looking smug, but coincidentally met Luo Sang’s icy gaze.

Realizing he was getting carried away, he didn’t dare to continue bantering with Luo Sang.

Luo Sang’s face darkened as he took all the ingredients from Fei Li’s hands and headed home with him.

Hmm? If the wife is misbehaving, I can take my time to teach him, I can’t let him get tired with all this.

As soon as they stepped into the house, Luo Sang put the ingredients down and suddenly picked Fei Li up in his arms.

Feeling an abrupt loss of weight, Fei Li was startled. “What are you doing?”

Luo Sang didn’t say a word, but the heated look in his eyes betrayed his thoughts.

He carried Fei Li toward the big bed. “Let’s try out the bed together!”

Try out the bed?

Fei Li realized that Luo Sang could come up with any excuse just to get intimate.

He couldn’t help but feel a mix of laughter and tears.

Before the words of rejection could escape his lips, Luo Sang had already begun his assault.

With Luo Sang’s movements, Fei Li’s fair cheeks flushed with a hint of color.

Noticing that he was getting excited, Luo Sang suddenly stopped, leaning down to whisper in his ear in a husky voice, “Still think you’re loved by everyone?”

At this moment, Fei Li felt an overwhelming heat coursing through him, the mixed sensations left him feeling empty inside. He wrapped his arms around Luo Sang’s neck, pulling him closer. “Are you jealous?”

Luo Sang let out a cold snort, seemingly insisting that he admit his fault.

“Alright, I’m wrong, I won’t dare to say that again.”

His nearly spoiled tone tightened Luo Sang’s throat.

Driven by instinct, all of Luo Sang’s actions followed his inner desires.

On a hot summer day, the atmosphere was filled with passion!

After the clouds cleared and the rain stopped, Fei Li fell into a deep sleep, his face flushed.

Luo Sang got up, satisfied, reluctant to wake Fei Li, so he took it upon himself to handle the ingredients.

Walking toward the scattered ingredients on the ground, he took out some pieces of meat, picked up a few wild chicken eggs, and gathered Fei Li’s favorite fish mint. Imitating how Fei Li had cooked before, he cracked the wild chicken eggs into a stone bowl and washed the fish mint clean for later use.

As he glanced around, he suddenly remembered the most important seasoning—salty sand.

He walked to the corner of the house where the salty sand was stored and took it out.

Just as he was about to turn around, he caught a glimpse of a leaf resembling a herb out of the corner of his eye.

At first, he didn’t think much of it, but then he realized Fei Li might need it, so he took the leaf out.

Once he got a clear look at the leaf, he froze.

This was a leaf from the Gugu tree, how could it be here?

He tightly clenched the Gugu tree leaf in his palm and glanced at the sleeping Fei Li.

Fei Li had never successfully conceived their child, could it be that he had actually eaten the Gugu tree leaf?

Thinking of this possibility, a wave of suffocating anxiety washed over him.

His emotions churned within, and he sat down on a stone bench inside, reminiscing about his moments with Fei Li.

Why didn’t Fei Li want to bear their child?

This question added to his already agitated feelings, stirring up some anger.

Without regard for the fact that Fei Li was still sound asleep, he moved forward and yanked Fei Li up.

Groggy, Fei Li opened his eyes and glanced at him, dissatisfied muttering, “Do you have no humanity? Do you really want me to die in bed?”

Fei Li thought he was about to unleash his animalistic nature and continue tormenting him.

Hearing Fei Li’s words, Luo Sang’s eyes turned even colder. “I’m not human to begin with.”

Fei Li: “…What the hell?”

Quickly waking up, Fei Li looked at him like a forced housewife.

“What’s wrong with you this time?” Does this orc have mood swings? Why is he as unpredictable as the weather in June?

Luo Sang forced a grim smile, tossing the Gugu tree leaf in front of him.

Time seemed to stop at that moment, Luo Sang stared at Fei Li, while Fei Li focused on the Gugu tree leaf.

“Listen to me, things are not as you think.”

“What do you mean? You don’t want to be my partner? Or you don’t want to bear my child?” Luo Sang scoffed, looking at him with self-deprecation.

Realizing that Luo Sang was angry, Fei Li got out of bed, intending to approach him.

Luo Sang instinctively took a step back, rejecting his closeness.

Previously, Fei Li hadn’t wanted to have a child so soon because he had a lot of tasks to complete himself regarding rice planting.

Moreover, as a modern medical student, he was well aware of the risks involved in giving birth in a primitive society without any medical conditions.

He wasn’t a saint, he feared death as much as anyone else.

Having died once made him value life even more.

But Luo Sang wouldn’t understand this, there was a cultural chasm of thousands of years between them.

He raised his eyes to Luo Sang. “Let me explain, it’s not that I don’t want to have children, I have my reasons. Sigh… you wouldn’t understand anyway.”

Even though he was on the verge of telling Luo Sang about his background, he ultimately decided to hold back.

After all, the idea of borrowing a dead body to return to life wasn’t something Luo Sang would find acceptable.

Luo Sang, wearing an expression of hurt, shot him a cold glance before leaving the room.

Watching Luo Sang’s determined figure depart, he sighed and sat down on the stone bench.

He had anticipated that such a day would come but never expected it to arrive so suddenly.

Aola had heard that Luo Sang and Fei Li returned to the tribe, so he had brought some ingredients from his home to give to Luo Sang.

As he stepped outside, he overheard the two arguing.

Seeing Luo Sang leave the house in a huff, Aola immediately chased after him, finally catching up at the edge of the tribe.

“Lord Luo Sang.”

Hearing the voice, Luo Sang stopped and turned around. “It’s you?”

A flash of disappointment crossed Luo Sang’s eyes. Was Fei Li really unwilling to explain himself?

Holding out some meat towards Luo Sang, Aola looked at him with a flattering expression. “You haven’t eaten yet, right? I brought this meat from home, I’ll roast it for you.” Somehow, the tribe’s residents had all but abandoned the habit of eating raw meat, having learned how to cook from Fei Li. As Aola was about to start a fire to roast the meat, Luo Sang snatched the meat from Aola’s hands and took a big bite.

As the blood-stained meat slid into his mouth, a strong metallic taste filled his mouth, causing him to cough lightly.

It turned out that not only had he fallen for Fei Li, but even his stomach had become fond of Fei Li’s cooking.

Aola cautiously moved a bit closer, carefully speaking, “Lord Luo Sang, are you okay?”

As he spoke, Aola reached out to pat Luo Sang’s back but was caught by him.

“What are you doing?”

“I-I saw you cough and wanted to help,” Aola said, lowering his head in guilt.

Luo Sang forcefully shook off Aola’s hand. “I don’t need it.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he stood up, about to take a step forward.

“Lord Luo Sang, can’t you see Fei Li’s true nature even now?” Aola mustered up the courage to shout at his back.

Luo Sang frowned and turned to glare at Aola.

Aola seemed encouraged, growing bolder. “Fei Li is too selfish, he only thinks of himself. He’s unwilling to bear children for you, which clearly means he doesn’t love you and doesn’t regard the tribe as his home. Who knows, he might even…”

Aola’s voice abruptly halted, looking at Luo Sang with an odd expression.

“What might he even do?”

Having come this far, Aola decided to take a risk. “Maybe Fei Li doesn’t even care about you, which is why he’s unwilling to have children for you.”

These words struck like a thorn, piercing deeply into Luo Sang’s heart.

Luo Sang was already troubled about the issue of having children, and Aola’s comments ignited the anger within him.

“Lord Luo Sang, Fei Li is just…” Before Aola could finish, Luo Sang’s large hand had already seized Aola’s throat.

“It seems you’ve forgotten what I said before,” Luo Sang said, his eyes glinting with coldness. “Fei Li is mine, when did it become your place to dictate anything?”

Anger turned Luo Sang’s eyes crimson, at that moment, he appeared as a terrifying bloodthirsty demon.

Aola felt a chill run down his back, a deep-rooted fear blossoming for the Luo Sang before him.

“Lord Luo Sang, I…”

“Shut up!” Luo Sang released his grip. “I’ll say this one last time: if you dare to speak one more ill word about Fei Li, I’ll make sure you can never speak again.”

After throwing down a cold remark, Luo Sang left without looking back.

Aola, squatting on the ground, struck the earth in frustration, feeling the hatred he thought had subsided returned with a vengeance.

Staggering to his feet, Aola walked toward the edge of the tribe.

Before he knew it, he had arrived at the edge of the rice fields, where he saw two people busily going back and forth between the rice fields and a small river. With a hint of curiosity, he approached the fields.

He had seen Qian Shi before and knew he was an orc of the lion tribe.

Seeing them irrigating the rice fields, he couldn’t help but ask, “There’s a ditch over there where the river water can flow directly into the rice fields, why are you bothering to irrigate?”

At his words, Hu Yin and Qian Shi finally snapped back to reality, and with the spiritual energy of the herbs slowly depleting, they were no longer under control.

“Damn Fei Li, I’m going to kill him,” Hu Yin exclaimed angrily.

Qian Shi shot an irritated glance at Hu Yin. “If you had the ability to kill him, why would you be doing something as foolish as this like I am?”

“You…” Hu Yin glared fiercely at Qian Shi.

Ignoring Hu Yin, Qian Shi walked straight toward Aola, sizing him up from head to toe.

“You’re a human from the wolf tribe?”
