Chapter 3 part 2

The moment Ji Chenai jumped from the window he felt peaceful and calm. He remembered Chen Shuya’s evasive eyes when she asked him to go abroad, Ji Mingzhong’s disgusted expression, Ji Suming’s eyes that were full of pity and remembered Yu Wenle’s sympathy and comfort then he realized that the world would be a better place without him.

The family would no longer worry about a cripple dragging them down, and Yi Wenle no longer has to think of every possible method to take care of him as well as the others. Perhaps they may be sad for a while but time would wash away everything.

Ji Chenai hung his head and then with a push of his hand, he made his heavy body fall.

Falling from the sixth floor has a high probability of death, moreover, for a crippled person like Ji Chenai, when he was sent to the emergency room, almost no one thought that he would come out alive.

Ji Mingzhong was angry, Ji Chenai had made their family lose face again.

News in the circle spread very quickly, and he could guarantee that in no time the circle would know the news of Ji Chenai’s suicide.

And for Ji Mingzhong this was almost an unbearable insult, so after he learned that Ji Chenai was still being resuscitated, he went home angrily and completely ignoring Chen Shuya who was languishing in the corner and crying.

Ji Chenai thought he was dead—just like how everyone thought he was dead when they knew he jumped from the sixth floor but he heard a voice, a soft and warm voice and it said. “Are you willing?”

He then saw a smiling face—the owner of that smiling face was very familiar to Ji Chenai because he was the little boy that Ji Chenai wanted to save.

The little boy smiled and said to his mother, “That man is so stupid. The water is so shallow so how could I drown?”

The little boy’s mother touched the little boy’s head as she smiled and said. “Yes, my baby is so good, but that person is too stupid.”

Then the scene shifted, this time Ji Chenai saw Chen Shuya again.

The woman who was supposed to be very cowardly stood in front of Ji Mingzhong and pointed at him as she cried and cursed. “Ji Mingzhong, you are such a cold-blooded monster. If it weren’t for you, how could Xiao Ai die?”

Ji Mingzhong coldly snorted gave Chen Shuya a slap in the face and said. “If you hadn’t taught him some nonsense, how would he have gone to save a person? Chen Shuya you stupid woman, there are already many good people in the world.”

Then, Yi Wenle also appeared. He stood in front of a tombstone as he smoked and after a long time, he said. “Ji Chenai, you are really stupid.”

All of this happened after the death of Ji Chenai.

Ji Chenai felt something was breaking his chest as he looked at the endless darkness and suddenly felt that he was ridiculous. The world does not need many good people nor does the world need many people to save.

If he hadn’t gone and jumped into the water to save the little boy, his life wouldn’t have been like this.

That strange, soft, and warm voice sounded again, it said. “It’s not you that’s wrong, it’s the world, so do you want to change it?”

Ji Chenai: “Change? I’m dead, how can I change it?”

The voice replied, “I have detected that you are full of love for the world, so I want to help you. Are you willing to let me help?”

Ji Chenai didn’t say anything.

The voice continued. “If you don’t speak, I will treat it as your acquiescence.”
