When Zhou Yaoyun returned home, he saw the room was in disarray.
The bed was stained with blood, and even Ji Chenai’s clothes were covered in blood. Judging by the amount of blood, it was evident that someone must have died. Yet, to Zhou Yaoyun’s surprise, Ji Chenai sat in a wheelchair was engrossed in typing on his computer.
Ji Chenai didn’t bother to close the door upon hearing the sound of Zhou Yaoyun entering, and instead, he turned with a smile. “You’re back?”
“Brother…” Zhou Yaoyun’s voice slightly quivered. “What happened? Are you hurt? Where’s Liu Ziming?” He had just returned from a basketball game, still wearing his jersey. The sight before him caused the basketball in his hand to slip to the ground.
Ji Chenai answered casually, “He had an urgent matter and left first.”
Zhou Yaoyun didn’t believe Ji Chenai’s explanation. Rushing over, he examined him, asking. “Are you injured? What happened?”
Ji Chenai shook his head. “I’m unharmed. This blood isn’t mine.”
“Is it Liu Zimings?” Zhou Yaoyun’s voice grew urgent, “Brother, please, tell me what’s going on?” The whole room was reeked of iron as the bed was soaked in blood. Ji Chenai had only washed his hands and face, leaving stains on his clothes.
Ji Chenai: “Can I not tell you?”
Zhou Yaoyun’s expression froze, before he asked, “Brother, why?”
Ji Chenai’s gaze averted from Zhou Yaoyun, fixing it on the computer screen. “Because I don’t have all the answers.”
With Ji Chenai’s refusal to say anything, Zhou Yaoyun felt helpless and after a moment of silence, he picked up his phone and dialed Liu Ziming’s number.
After several rings, the call connected. Zhou Yaoyun wasted no time, asking. “Ziming, what’s going on?”
There was no sound on the other end of the line, even after Zhou Yaoyun asked a few questions, all he could hear was a terrified scream before the line abruptly hung up.
Zhou Yaoyun glanced at the eerie room before him: the bloodstains and Ji Chenai’s stoic expression. For some reason, a chill crept down his spine, and then suddenly felt that Zhou Yaoqin seemed unfamiliar at that moment.
Listening to Zhou Yaoyun’s phone call, and the other end hanging up, Ji Chenai turned around and said calmly to him. “Liu Ziming has been molesting and harassing me.”
Zhou Yaoyun was stunned, “What?”
Ji Chenai stated, “He’s a pervert. Getting close to you is for me.”
Zhou Yaoyun’s face was filled with shock, and amidst it, there brewed a mixture of anger and resentment. “Brother, why didn’t you tell me sooner?”
Ji Chenai remained silent as he pondered to himself, how should he know why Zhou Yaoqin didn’t tell him. Perhaps he felt too ashamed to speak up, or maybe he didn’t want to burden Zhou Yaoyun, so he chose to remain silent.
Ji Chenai’s revelation about the incident diluted the impact of the bloodstains on Zhou Yaoyun. Afterward, he made a call to Liu Ziming’s home to confirm that he had returned, once he knew he was, Zhou Yaoyun chose not to further ask about the matter. Instead, he silently tidied up the bedding, disposing of the blood-soaked mattress.
After finishing all of this, Zhou Yaoyun turned to Ji Chenai. “Brother, why don’t you take a shower and change?
Ji Chenai closed the webpage casually, nodding in agreement.
