“Possessive Desire: The Paranoid CEO’s Private Little Sweetheart” Chapter 30

Chapter 30: Hate Me

The next morning, Shi Ran woke up early.

After packing her bags, she went downstairs and saw Lu Beiyan sitting in the dining room having breakfast. Usually, he would have already left for work by this time.

Seeing her with her small suitcase, he asked, “Where are you going?”

Shi Ran looked at him, his expression blank, and replied in confusion, “To Grandma’s! Didn’t you agree last night?”

“Did I?”

Shi Ran: “…”

!

“I don’t remember.”

“Lu Beiyan! You’re going back on your word! You promised me last night in the bathroom!” Shi Ran shouted, hands on her hips.

Lu Beiyan felt a sharp pain behind his eyelids. How could he not remember?

But he just couldn’t stand the way she was so happy to leave him, couldn’t stand that she, who usually slept until noon, had gotten up so early to leave him.

Even accompanying his grandmother wasn’t allowed.

He had to be the most important person in her heart.

“How did I promise?” Lu Beiyan calmly ate his breakfast, wearing only black pajamas, not looking like he was going anywhere.

Shi Ran took a few deep breaths to stop herself from cursing.

“You said ‘okay’.”

“Lu Beiyan, are you getting old and losing your memory!”

She gritted her teeth, practically spitting out each word.

Lu Beiyan had fair skin and sharp features.

His eyes were dark and his lips thin, his jawline sharp, and he looked innocent.

“I did say ‘okay,’ but wasn’t that after you told me to go easy?”

Shi Ran: “!”

As soon as he said that, several maids in the large living room heard it and pricked up their ears.

Shi Ran’s face flushed crimson to her ears.

“Lu Beiyan, are you shameless? You bastard! That was before, later I said I wanted to go back to Grandma’s for three days! That’s what you promised!”

Lu Beiyan finished his breakfast, calmly putting down his knife and fork, and wiping his mouth with a napkin.

He looked at her with innocent, clear eyes. “Is that so? Ranran, I didn’t hear you. I was completely focused on you telling me to go easy.”

Shi Ran was speechless with anger.

Never again would she say that women are unreasonable; men are!

“So I’m telling you now, I’m going back to Grandma’s to keep her company, just for three days. Do you agree?”

Lu Beiyan glanced at her packed suitcase, picked up a laptop from the table, sat on the sofa, ready to work, then said without expression.

“No.”

“Lu Beiyan!”

No matter what Shi Ran said, he remained unmoved, looking determined to work from home.

She ignored him, pulled her suitcase to the door, and was stopped by a bodyguard.

“I’m going out for a while, can I come back tonight?”

Lu Beiyan completely ignored her, intently focusing on his computer, dealing with work.

Shi Ran was furious, but Lu Beiyan wouldn’t yield to force.

Fuming, she went upstairs and stayed in her room for two hours, almost bursting a blood vessel, while Lu Beiyan remained downstairs.

Finally, she changed into a crimson silk slip dress and went downstairs.

Her figure was perfectly outlined by the tight silk dress, showing off her curves.

The moment Lu Beiyan looked up, his eyes widened.

“Close your eyes!” he shouted angrily.

All the maids present closed their eyes.

Shi Ran sneered: Was that necessary? Everyone in the room was female.

She walked directly over, took his laptop, and sat on his lap.

“Brother Yan~ Let me go back to keep Grandma company, okay?”

“Ah!”

She was suddenly scooped up and carried upstairs. With each step, Shi Ran saw Lu Beiyan’s face darken.

She felt very smug.

The bedroom door was kicked open, and Lu Beiyan pressed her against the doorframe, his kisses fierce and uncontrolled.

His breathing became heavier and heavier.

Just as he was about to get to the point,

Shi Ran started to negotiate: “Let me go back to Grandma’s after we’re finished, okay?”

Lu Beiyan smirked, “Why are you always negotiating with me?”

“Grandma isn’t well, she needs company.”

Lu Beiyan didn’t understand these things. From childhood to adulthood, in his environment, no one had truly cared for him.

He hooked her nimble little tongue, wantonly invading her territory.

“Then you can come back at night and go see Grandma during the day.”

Shi Ran knew he was only concerned about that one thing.

But how could she explain that to her grandmother? It was impossible.

“You can find another woman.”

“Bang.” With her words, the door behind them was slammed shut.

The loud noise made Shi Ran scream. She subconsciously closed her eyes, and when she slowly opened them, she saw a man whose eyes were filled with desire a second ago, now staring at her with bloodshot eyes.

Her clothes were already torn.

Lu Beiyan, however, was still fully clothed. He stepped back, blood flowing from the back of his right hand, dripping onto the white tiles.

His eyes were icy, his gaze like an injured lion.

Suddenly, he pushed her away with his uninjured hand.

“Want to see your grandmother? No way.”

Hearing this, Shi Ran panicked. She grabbed his collar: “Why?”

Lu Beiyan didn’t look at her, his gaze shifted down to her hand gripping his collar, then coldly retracted.

“No reason.”

All morning’s efforts, Shi Ran just wanted to keep her grandmother company.

For a normal person, this wasn’t an excessive request.

Why? Why wouldn’t you agree?

She weakly dropped her hand, looked at him, her eyes defiant: “Lu Beiyan, I hate you!”

How dare he? How dare he restrict her freedom, how dare he decide her freedom with a single word!

Lu Beiyan sneered, blood still flowing from his hand.

“Hate me.”

It’s better than not loving me.

After saying that, he went downstairs.

A minute later, Shi Ran heard the sound of a car driving away.

The maid, Jinju, hurried upstairs and saw Miss Shi crouching by the door, crying.

“Miss Shi, don’t cry, what’s wrong? I saw Mr. Lu was very angry, he didn’t even take A Fei, he drove away by himself.”

Shi Ran’s tears still flowed uncontrollably.

“The CEO’s hand was bleeding a lot, it looked so scary.”

Shi Ran looked at the pool of blood on the floor, finding it 刺眼 (ciyan – glaring/eye-catching).

She ran back to bed and cried under the covers.

At lunchtime, no matter how much Jinju persuaded her, she wouldn’t eat.

Helplessly, Jinju could only call the CEO.

“Not eating? Then starve. It’s a good opportunity for reflection.”

Night.

Several men were sitting in a brightly lit private room.

Chen Qi and the others looked at their brother’s blood-stained hand. At first, they thought it was some reckless fool who dared to fight with Master Yu and injure him. They were a little excited, finally something to do.

Unexpectedly, their Master Yu said he smashed the door himself!

Such a stupid act, could it really be their mature and steady Master Yu?

Now, seeing their usually mature and steady Master Yu drinking heavily, they knew it had something to do with the woman in the Xishan villa.

Sure enough, a call came from home.

Their boss and that woman had a fight.

She’s on a hunger strike.

And their boss, outwardly tough, is here alone, drinking to drown his sorrows.

And that hand covered in blood, it really looks quite pitiful.
