Chapter 6: He Became Obedient After Being Punished Twice
Ye Wuyou suddenly asked Yoyo,
“You’ve been out for so long—didn’t you see my head got smashed open?”
Yoyo froze, a little confused.
“Wait… wasn’t that from you falling on your own?”
Ye Wuyou replied lifelessly,
“This time, I got knocked out with a club.”
“What? Seriously? That’s awesome,” Yoyo said in surprise.
That earned him a massive eye-roll from Ye Wuyou.
“Hahaha, sorry, I couldn’t help it. You’re always the one clubbing others, this is the first time someone got you. By the way, do you remember what that guy looked like?” Yoyo asked curiously.
“Of course I remember. It was this body’s uncle,” Ye Wuyou answered. Then she gritted her teeth and snarled,
“That bastard better just sit tight. Once I recover, if I don’t beat him senseless, I’ll stop calling myself Ye.”
As she got worked up, she smacked the blanket with her hand.
“Hiss—ouch, damn it…” Her hand was still swollen from the hit.
Spreading her hands helplessly, she slumped back onto the bed and said to Yoyo,
“Go outside and check things out. Be careful, don’t get spotted.”
With that, she wrapped him in spiritual energy and tossed him out the window.
“Damn it, ugly girl! Can’t I walk out myself? Why’d you throw me?!” Yoyo yelled, flailing.
“Too slow. I helped you,” Ye Wuyou answered flatly.
“Oh, so should I be thanking you too?” Yoyo asked, on the verge of a breakdown.
Yoyo’s form resembled a black panther, but when small he looked just like a black cat, so nobody paid much attention to him as he wandered outside. The more he looked around, the more shocked he became.
Green mountains, clear waters, fresh air everywhere—it was nothing like the post-apocalyptic world full of bloodshed and filth.
Where the hell are we this time? Yoyo thought. No, I have to hurry back and discuss this with the demon girl.
But as he rushed back, the more he thought about it, the more wrong it felt. Anything he saw, that little demoness could’ve swept over with her consciousness and known instantly. So why send him out personally? And why had she ignored his requests to return to the space?
The thought gnawed at him, and he picked up his pace back.
Inside the room, Ye Wuyou was quickly absorbing crystal cores, trying to restore her powers.
When Yoyo came back and saw her cultivating, his heart sank. He immediately dashed into the space to check his collection of treasures.
“Ahh—you… how could you?!” After confirming his things were gone, he howled in grief and accused her.
Ye Wuyou finished absorbing, then slowly opened her eyes and asked,
“How could I what?”
“How could you absorb my treasures! That was stuff I wouldn’t even let myself eat! Wuuuu~” Yoyo wailed pitifully.
“Other people’s masters find good food for their beasts. Not only did you not find me anything, you even stole mine. I don’t wanna live anymore—wu wu wu~” He was in full drama-king mode now.
“Then go die. I already have your space ability anyway,” Ye Wuyou answered expressionlessly.
“How can lips at 37 degrees say such cold-hearted words?! Don’t forget—I helped you snatch plenty of treasures before! And now you just say you don’t want your beast anymore? This world isn’t our apocalypse—we don’t know what dangers there are! We need to stick together, okay? And how can you tell me to go die? You’ve broken my poor heart! Wuu wu wu—waaahh—”
The more he spoke, the sadder he got, until he actually started crying for real.
Ye Wuyou couldn’t take it anymore. Without another word, she flung him out the window again with her spiritual power—this time aiming for the highest point possible.
When Yoyo finally returned, he only shot her a vicious glare before retreating into the space without saying a word.
Inside, Xia Bing sneered to herself, Tch, this thing just needs discipline. Once isn’t enough? Then a few more times. Sooner or later, it’ll behave.
