Pregnant With My Obsessive Ex-Boyfriend’s Child Chapter 18

Many people say the same thing. Chi Yan replied.

Yu Xiaoqi was about to pour Chi Yan a drink when Chi Yan noticed and covered the glass with his hand.

“I drank too much yesterday, so no alcohol for me today. Just give me some juice,” Chi Yan said, intentionally glancing at Feng Min. Sure enough, Feng Min’s expression changed slightly.

But there was no juice on the table.

Since Chi Yan asked, though, his request had to be fulfilled.

After all, Chi Yan had come today to help him.

Yu Xiaoqi stood up, left the room, and ordered a bottle of juice to be brought over.

Xie Rong had already guessed why Yu Xiaoqi had called Chi Yan over.

Yu Xiaoqi had this little quirk—he couldn’t stand losing even a little.

It helped that his family background was strong; otherwise, he would have been beaten up long ago.

After a short while, Yu Xiaoqi returned, just in time to hear Xie Rong joke, “A late feast?”

Yu Xiaoqi unscrewed the juice bottle cap and poured a glass for Chi Yan.

He glanced up at Xie Rong and asked, “Do you want some?”

“I don’t drink juice.”

“Really? I thought you were drunk,” Yu Xiaoqi said, his words obviously protective of Chi Yan.

Xie Rong stared at Yu Xiaoqi with a smile, and Yu Xiaoqi didn’t back down, maintaining eye contact.

They all knew it was a joke. Old friends like them were used to sharp words now and then, but it never lasted.

“Chi Yan, do you have a boyfriend?” Xie Rong originally wanted to ask if Chi Yan was single, but he suddenly noticed some ambiguous marks on Chi Yan’s neck, and the question turned into something else.

Those marks weren’t from allergies; they were clearly from recent intimate contact.

Chi Yan held his glass, not in a rush to respond.

“No, I’m single right now. Though I do have an ex, who happens to be here.”

“Really? Well, is there anyone here you fancy? Feel free to choose; if it’s you, you can have anyone,” Xie Rong raised his eyebrows, resuming his usual matchmaking antics.

“You!” Chi Yan said, just one word.

This surprised Xie Rong.

“Me? Are you interested in me? You sure you don’t want to look around more? There are better choices here, don’t hold back. You’re Xiaoqi’s friend, which makes you our friend too.” Just then, Xie Rong sensed some pressure from the person next to him.

He glanced sideways—Feng Min’s gaze wasn’t on him, but it was clear Feng Min wasn’t happy with Chi Yan’s choice.

Xie Rong could tell that Feng Min had set his sights on Chi Yan. And as a brother, you don’t compete with a friend for someone’s affection.

Besides, Chi Yan had looks, sure, but Xie Rong had a feeling Chi Yan was different from them.

Although he was friends with Yu Xiaoqi, the fact that Yu Xiaoqi had never introduced Chi Yan before showed that Chi Yan might not run in the same circles as them.

Chi Yan smiled. “For now, I’d like to stay single.”

This answer was what Xie Rong expected. He smiled in understanding. “Well, whenever you decide to end your single life, let us know. We can help find someone worthy.”

While Xie Rong and Chi Yan talked, Feng Min was just listening and observing, seemingly not intending to join in the conversation.

But as soon as the topic ended, Feng Min’s eyes flashed, and he suddenly fixed his gaze on Chi Yan, asking, “Did you buy the medicine?”

The abrupt question left everyone at the table surprised, drawing their attention to Feng Min and Chi Yan.

Some people exchanged confused looks, unsure of where this was going.

Chi Yan’s smile froze for a moment.

Nobody had noticed before, but now Feng Min had everyone shocked with just one question.

All eyes turned to Chi Yan. In the face of everyone’s curious gazes, Chi Yan didn’t rush. He casually picked up his glass and took a sip of juice.

After putting the glass down, Chi Yan smiled warmly, but with a hint of coldness in his light brown eyes.

“I did. I ordered it through a delivery service. Why? Want to cover the cost, Mr. Feng?”

His smile was gentle, but his eyes were growing colder.

“No need. I can afford a few dozen yuan. I just have a small suggestion.”

Feng Min’s voice was as cold as his gaze. The tension in the air was palpable, and many people were holding their breath, afraid to make a sound.

Everyone could feel the dark, oppressive energy coming from Feng Min.

Xie Rong looked between Feng Min and Chi Yan in astonishment.

Suddenly, he remembered where he’d seen Chi Yan before—no wonder he seemed familiar.

Chi Yan was the little lover Feng Min had hidden over three years ago.

So, now it seemed like Feng Min had just returned and was reconnecting with his former flame.

But based on Chi Yan’s attitude, he seemed to have no lingering feelings for Feng Min.

However, from the way Feng Min was staring at Chi Yan, it was clear he still had feelings for him.

“What suggestion?” Chi Yan raised his chin slightly, his expression confident. “A one-night stand is just that. Once it’s over, it’s over. You holding on like this only makes it seem like you can’t let go.”

“If you can’t let go, then don’t come out and play!”

Everyone froze, their eyes turning to Feng Min in unison.

Even Xie Rong expected Feng Min to be provoked by Chi Yan’s words. But to everyone’s surprise, Feng Min actually apologized.

“I’m sorry.”

His apology was surprisingly sincere.

Chi Yan responded to the apology with a cold smirk.

The atmosphere in the room grew even more tense.

Yu Xiaoqi was so shocked he couldn’t say a word. This development was beyond anything he had expected.
