Pregnant With My Rival’s Child
Pregnant With My Rival’s Child Chapter 16

“Everyone, leave and keep an eye on them for me,” Fu Rong ordered without looking back. Two security guards standing at the door quickly entered the room. Although they appeared ordinary, their movements were swift and precise, and in no time, they had taken down everyone standing, except Fu Rong.

These scumbags had come to this hotel to cause trouble, and it was quite the coincidence that they chose today of all days.

The hotel manager arrived shortly after, or rather, rushed into the room. He instructed the guards to lock the culprits in a utility room on the basement floor and then walked toward Fu Rong, stopping just behind him.

“President Fu, this person… I think I should handle it,” the manager said as he glanced at the person lying on the bed. His eyes widened in shock when he saw the face.

It was Chi Yao…

Fu Rong turned his head, his eyes carrying a hint of a smile, though it seemed to be buried under layers of coldness.

“You’re going to handle it?” Fu Rong raised an eyebrow, his expression implying doubt that the manager could manage the situation.

The manager, sweating profusely, discreetly wiped his forehead.

“President Fu, I’ll go and monitor those guys downstairs. They dared to lay a hand on… It might have been premeditated. I’ll keep an eye on them…”

Finding an excuse, the manager quickly exited the room, his heart pounding in fear that Fu Rong might call him back.

Once outside, the manager let out a deep sigh of relief. No matter what happened today, he swore he would never breathe a word of it to anyone.

Chi Yao was still pretending to be asleep, but he was on the verge of exploding inside.

It really was Fu Rong!

He had already suspected as much since the day he found out that this hotel belonged to Fu Rong, but he didn’t want to jump to conclusions without proof.

Now, the truth was laid bare: it really was Fu Rong.

In his previous life, it was Fu Rong he had slept with. Fu Rong was the father of the child he had carried. After his death, it was also Fu Rong who took care of his body.

It was all Fu Rong. The entanglement between them ran far deeper than he had ever realized.

Initially, Chi Yao wanted to open his eyes, but suddenly, a strange calm washed over him.

He thought about his child. At this moment, after realizing that Fu Rong had fathered the child in his previous life, an odd thought crossed his mind. If the baby truly had Fu Rong’s genes—along with his own superior genes—their baby, no, his baby, would definitely be an adorable little one.

In his previous life, he hadn’t known if the baby was a boy or a girl.

Either way, he would love them. If it were possible, twins would be ideal.

A smile spread across Chi Yao’s heart. He thought to himself that he was truly losing it.

Completely losing it. In that instant, he made a decision.

In his past life, he didn’t know. But in this life, Fu Rong wouldn’t know either.

He would find another time to “borrow” Fu Rong’s genes—but not now.

Now wasn’t the right time.

Chi Yao continued to feign sleep, his expression serene.

Fu Rong stood by the bed, staring at Chi Yao’s sleeping face. Strangely, he had the feeling that this person might be awake. If Chi Yao opened his eyes the next second, he wouldn’t be surprised.

Fu Rong leaned down and reached out to touch Chi Yao’s face.

With this person’s temperament, if he were pretending to sleep, he wouldn’t allow himself to be touched.

As expected, Fu Rong’s hand made contact with Chi Yao’s face.

Soft and delicate, like silk. Despite his cold and obstinate exterior, Chi Yao’s body was unexpectedly gentle.

Fu Rong straightened up, chuckling softly.

“I wonder, if I took some videos of you and demanded that you leave Shen Ling for good, what would you do?”

“Probably refuse and come at me swinging, right?”

Yes! Of course! I’ll beat your lying face to a pulp!

Chi Yao cursed in his mind. He was about to call him a dog, but he held back. After all, this man was the father of his child, past and future, so he decided to be a little more civil.

“Forget it. I shouldn’t give myself more trouble,” Fu Rong chuckled lightly.

He turned and left the room, calling a waiter over. Coincidentally, the waiter happened to be someone Chi Yao knew. The waiter helped dress Chi Yao, who remained unconscious.

Later, a security guard arrived to escort Chi Yao out of the room. They had already gotten the details of the location where they drugged Chi Yao from the thugs, and Fu Rong personally drove him back to the location. The security guard did all the lifting while Fu Rong observed.

During the process, one of Chi Yao’s earrings fell to the floor, and Fu Rong noticed it, picking it up. He thought about returning it to Chi Yao, but, on a whim, he put the earring in his pocket instead.

He justified it by saying it would serve as evidence if Chi Yao ever came looking for it. As for the video footage, he would destroy it. Such things were beneath him for blackmail.

As the car drove away, Chi Yao slowly opened his eyes. His hand reached for his ear, realizing the earring on his right side was missing. He clenched his hand into a fist, smacking the steering wheel. His jaw clenched tightly as he took a long, deep breath.

Driving toward home, Chi Yao’s lips curled into a smile as he dialed a number. It was to the manager of an entertainment venue. He informed them that he would attend their anniversary event next month but not as a guest, instead as a special temporary service worker.

The manager was stunned and hesitated before asking why.

Chi Yao’s response was simple: “I want to sleep with someone. The usual ways aren’t working, so I need you to lend a little help.”

The manager, not daring to refuse, cautiously asked whom Chi Yao wanted to sleep with, but Chi Yao didn’t give a direct answer, only warning him not to ask too many questions.

Blindfolded, A Boy Like a Little Kitten

Getting Fu Rong’s genes this time would be even easier. Chi Yao already had a full plan in place. If he could sleep with Fu Rong in his past life, this life would be even simpler.
