Chapter 150: The Sunshine Beta and the Obsessive Alpha 16
Leng Yi was caught off guard by a few punches, stunned by Xu Jiayan’s sudden surge in strength.
“!!!” He stood there, frozen in place.
The Xu Jiayan from his previous life had been utterly defenseless, but the Xu Jiayan of this life was fierce and unyielding.
Xu Jiayan didn’t care what Leng Yi was thinking. He clenched his fists and pounded relentlessly.
“You blind fool! How dare you even think about my brother!”
“Ugh! A toad dreaming of eating swan meat!”
His gentle, kind, and cultured older brother was someone Leng Yi could never deserve.
This lunatic who relied on his family background to act recklessly—it’d be better to beat him to death sooner rather than later.
Leng Yi was kicked to the ground, taking a brutal beating that left his handsome face bruised and swollen.
“Xu Jiayan, do you know who I am?”
Xu Jiayan raised an eyebrow, “Who you are?! Even if you were the emperor himself, I’d send you straight to hell to meet the King of the Underworld today!”
He stomped on Leng Yi’s stomach, forcing him to curl up in pain.
“Idiot! Out of all the alphas I’ve met, you’re the most delusional.”
“My brother doesn’t want you, yet you keep clinging to him. Didn’t your parents teach you to back off when you’re rejected? You’re such an embarrassment!”
He continued to throw punches while hurling insults.
“A wooden fish from a monk’s temple—born to be beaten, a disgrace that doesn’t belong on any stage!”
Xu Jiayan’s fierce defense gradually calmed the anger that Leng Yi had stirred in Xu Jianan.
Though he should have felt relieved, seeing his brother in the same space as Leng Yi made him anxious again, fearing that his brother might end up with the same tragic fate as in their past life.
His brother, covered in blood…
His cheerful, lively brother…
He would never allow his brother to walk that path again, nor would he let Leng Yi disturb him any further.
The seemingly gentle Omega made a decision that could only be described as terrifying.
He wanted to kill Leng Yi or destroy him.
He Xu walked up to Xu Jianan and asked softly, “Do you want to get rid of him, Mr. Xu?”
“Perhaps I can help you.”
No alpha could maintain their composure after hearing another alpha use their lover’s life as a bargaining chip.
The only reason he hadn’t rushed in to cripple Leng Yi was because his lover was already taking action, and he didn’t want to reveal his violent side in front of Xu Jiayan.
Xu Jianan looked up at He Xu, “He deserves to die. I won’t tolerate him living…”
His voice was soft and gentle, but it carried a faint, chilling intent to kill.
He Xu licked his back teeth, “Perhaps you should tell me about your history with that alpha. Why do you hate him so much?”
“From what I know, you’ve never had any interaction with any alpha before, yet this time, you didn’t hesitate to want him dead.”
He glanced at Xu Jiayan, who was still violently beating Leng Yi, and asked, “And why were you so panicked when you saw Ayan with that alpha?”
It was as if he thought his Ayan would die.
Hearing this, Xu Jianan’s fingers tightened at his sides, and a dark storm churned in his eyes.
“I once had a dream…” he said hoarsely.
“In that dream, that alpha took a liking to me and forced himself on me. My only brother became his bargaining chip to control me.”
“My brother didn’t want me to compromise for his sake, so he jumped from the top of a building.”
“In that dream, I lost my brother forever…”
Xu Jianan recounted the events of his past life as if they were a dream, causing He Xu’s expression to darken. His already fierce face turned even more menacing.
“In your dream… Ayan died.”
“So you left the C District because of a dream and now want to kill that alpha?”
He didn’t believe it was just that simple. Moving away and plotting murder over a dream didn’t seem like something Xu Jianan would do.
This beautiful, resilient Omega wasn’t that impulsive.
Perhaps this so-called dream wasn’t just a dream…
He Xu, who had vaguely guessed something, looked at Xu Jianan with probing eyes.
Xu Jianan smiled lightly, “I just don’t want that dream to become reality.”
He Xu narrowed his eyes slightly, “I’d like to hear more about this dream of yours sometime.”
What kind of “dream” had driven this gentle Omega to the point of wanting to kill?
And what had his Ayan experienced in that dream that made him feel he had to jump to his death?
Xu Jianan said softly, “I’ll tell you about it sometime, Mr. He.”
Protecting his brother alone was too difficult. With He Xu’s help, his brother could live the rest of his life in peace and happiness.
