Chapter 151: The Sunshine Beta and the Obsessive Alpha 17
Xu Jianan stared for a long time before slowly walking over and taking his younger brother’s hand.
“Xiao Yan, don’t dirty your hands because of him.”
Such filthy deeds should be handled by him. His younger brother shouldn’t be stained with blood.
The brother he had meticulously raised was radiant and shouldn’t lose his light because of a scoundrel like Leng Yi. Nor should he be dragged down again as in their past life, forced to resort to death in a desperate attempt to change the situation.
The thought of his brother’s tragic death in their previous life made Xu Jianan’s gaze toward Leng Yi grow even colder, dark and heavy like a bolt of lightning tearing through the sky before a storm.
A beast like Leng Yi deserved to be cast into hell for eternity, unworthy of the precious opportunity of rebirth.
Xu Jiayan was pulled behind his stern-faced brother but still glared fiercely at Leng Yi on the ground, wishing he could smash this Alpha to pieces.
“Brother, he’s not a good person.”
So, brother, hurry up and let me beat him to death!
Xu Jianan gently patted his brother’s head. “Of course, I know he’s not a good person, but Xiao Yan, there’s no need for you to dirty your hands because of him.”
His grudge with Leng Yi shouldn’t involve his younger brother. His brother needed to remain pure and untainted.
He should grow up smoothly, study well, and then walk into the marriage hall with his beloved.
Living a happy and joyful life forever.
Not becoming a cold corpse, discarded like worthless trash by the wealthy.
Xu Jiayan puffed out his cheeks. “Brother, I want to protect you too.”
He wanted to guard his Omega brother who had finally found happiness after enduring so much. He wanted his brother’s future to be smooth and peaceful, free from any hardship or suffering.
He Xu stepped forward and pulled his little boyfriend aside.
“Ayan, be good. Let your brother handle this matter himself.”
Xu Jianan spoke softly, “Xiao Yan, listen to me.”
“Hmph, don’t let me see you again, or I’ll beat you up every time I do!” Xu Jiayan shot a fierce glare at Leng Yi, threw down a few more threats, and then obediently followed He Xu away.
Xu Jianan coldly stared at Leng Yi. “This time, you brought this upon yourself.”
He had originally wanted nothing more to do with this person, but it seemed fate had other plans. Leng Yi had also been reborn and was still delusionally trying to lock him back in a cage.
Becoming a caged songbird had never been his wish, and no one had ever cared about his wishes.
The only one who had cared about his wishes—his younger brother—had tragically died in the summer in their past life.
Now, given a second chance, no one would be able to take away what he had—his family, friends, freedom, rights, a fulfilling career…
He wouldn’t let Leng Yi destroy him again, nor would he allow Leng Yi to continue living.
Leng Yi sneered with a sinister expression. “Do you think you can change anything?”
“I’ll make you realize that all your efforts are futile! You will belong to me alone, and I won’t let you go!”
He Xu, who had only walked a few steps away, quickly grabbed the enraged and fuming Beta, signaling his trusted aide Jiang Tao with a glance to handle the situation.
Jiang Tao frowned at the self-destructive Leng Yi, unable to comprehend what was wrong with the world.
Why were there always people who seemed determined to throw their lives away?
First, there was that Alpha who tried to poison the family head, and now this Alpha who was harassing the family head’s brother-in-law. And this time, the Alpha seemed even more intent on self-destruction than the last.
Under Jiang Tao’s lead, six Alpha bodyguards approached the limp Alpha on the ground, dragging him into a nearby black luxury car.
Xu Jianan also got into the car.
He was determined to personally deal with this troublesome beast.
“Brother, wait for me…” Xu Jiayan, who also wanted to follow, was stopped by He Xu pulling his arm. The Beta looked at him in confusion.
“He Xu, why are you stopping me?”
He Xu held Xu Jiayan’s wrist firmly. “Ayan, stay out of this.”
“Your brother will handle it.”
He added, “Jiang Tao has been with me for many years. He’ll protect your brother.”
Xu Jiayan paused. “Alright.”
He tapped the ground with his toes, drawing circles in frustration.
“Why do you always treat me like a child?”
He Xu ruffled the young man’s hair. “Ayan, we just don’t want you exposed to too much darkness. You should walk a bright and smooth path.”
Xu Jiayan looked up at He Xu, his clear eyes meeting He Xu’s deep, dark gaze.
“But I want to protect my brother too, yet he always thinks I’m still a kid.”
“Now even you think I haven’t grown up.”
He Xu sighed. “Ayan, your brother and I just want to protect you from harm. We’ve never thought of you as immature.”
“Let’s wait here for your brother to come back.”
