Chapter 52: Proud Scholar x Elite Lawyer 10
Capital City of Huaxia.
Young Master Fang was still suffering from his sister’s love-induced madness, and he was on the verge of losing his temper.
The fire in his heart couldn’t be suppressed, and a flash of anger crossed his brow.
“Fang Mian, I shouldn’t even be wasting my breath on you!”
He immediately called six burly male bodyguards and ordered them to forcibly take Fang Mian home, without considering her feelings.
Fang Mian clung to the door, refusing to let go. “I will never compromise with you.”
Young Master Fang said sternly, “Fang Mian, your parents and I are not the kind of people who would break up a happy couple.”
“If Kong Liang were a man worthy of your life, your parents and I would certainly support him wholeheartedly. If that’s not enough, we could even bring him into the Fang family as a son-in-law.”
“But he is not a good man, and getting involved with him will only lead to a bad end!”
Fang Mian shook her head violently. “You and Dad and Mom are biased against Kong Liang. He’s not a bad person; he’s been working hard.”
Young Master Fang clenched his fists in anger, his jaw muscles twitching.
“Ha! Working hard my ass!”
“Quickly! Take her away!”
He had seen through it all—his sister was a textbook case of love blindness.
But love blindness only works when both parties are truly worth it, and Kong Liang, that selfish and self-centered man, was clearly not.
Ever since she met Kong Liang, his sister had plunged headfirst into a love that he couldn’t understand, losing herself at an alarming rate and falling deeply in love with him.
She not only professed her love but was willing to go to any lengths for him.
Young Master Fang couldn’t comprehend it.
It was fine for his sister to fall in love and want to give her heart fully, but she needed to open her eyes and see if the man was worth it.
The bodyguards pried Fang Mian’s hands off the door, but she still refused to leave. “Brother, I don’t want to go. Please let me stay.”
Young Master Fang said coldly, “Kong Liang is not a good man. Stay away from him!”
Fang Mian looked at him with tears in her eyes. “Kong Liang is different from others. If I miss him, I’ll regret it.”
Young Master Fang clenched his fists. “Fang Mian! Can you please snap out of it!”
“Love is only meaningful when it’s mutual.”
“Kong Liang doesn’t love you; he just sees you as a cash cow.”
That scoundrel spent all his money on her, even the rent for his apartment came from her. From start to finish, he was just a freeloader.
Fang Mian reached out, trying to grab something. “Brother, if you love someone, you have to fight for them.”
“I’m willing to spend money on him…”
Young Master Fang’s eyes turned cold, and his knuckles cracked.
“Shut her up! Take her away quickly!”
The bodyguard quickly pulled out a black cloth and gagged Fang Mian’s mouth.
Ah! Finally, some peace and quiet!
Young Master Fang and the bodyguards took Fang Mian away and brought her home, where they called in several renowned psychiatrists.
Clearly, Young Master Fang believed his sister was ill.
Fang Mian was confined at home, unable to leave, and was treated with medication. After some time, she actually returned to her normal self.
When she thought back to her past self, she felt as if she had been suffering from hysteria.
And those love-brain quotes…
Every time she thought about them, she felt nauseous.
Feeling down, she left the capital city of Huaxia and went abroad to travel and clear her mind.
As for Kong Liang, without his girlfriend to support him financially, he had to work to earn his own living. His parents were no help at all.
One was a drunk, and the other had remarried.
His father was always drinking, and when he saw Kong Liang, he couldn’t stop criticizing him.
His mother was busy maintaining her new family and had no time for her stepson.
Kong Liang’s life became increasingly difficult. He could no longer enjoy the good life he once had, and no one was willing to associate with him anymore.
