Chapter 75: Golden Serpent Demon King x Fierce Beast Qiongqi 09
Qiongqi looked with satisfaction at the guests who dared not move, then turned his gaze back to Zi Ni, who was nearly suffocating.
Seeing Zi Ni crying pitifully, a surge of anger rose in his heart. “You’re the one who hurt Ayang with this pitiful act!”
“Why are you crying? Isn’t this what you asked for?” His face was filled with a murderous aura, and his fingers tightened around Zi Ni’s neck.
“Someone as sinister and malicious as you shouldn’t continue to exist in this world.”
Princess Zi Ni’s face turned red as she gasped, “So you came for Su Yan… He’s just a lowly snake demon… It was his good fortune that I even wanted his demon core…”
“You like him, but he likes me!” She glared at Qiongqi angrily. “With just a wave of my hand, that little snake demon would come crawling like a dog.”
“But he didn’t even know his place, daring to covet me, a princess!”
“So what if I made him take the blame for Ling Mo!” Zi Ni laughed fearlessly. “Qiongqi, if you dare harm me today, Su Yan will surely avenge me with his own hands.”
Qiongqi sneered, “You’re really asking for death. Do you think Su Yan is still that little snake demon you could manipulate at will?”
“He’s back this time, and he has no intention of letting you or that green ox demon off the hook. You and the green ox demon’s entire family will pay for your actions.”
He threw Zi Ni to the ground and raised his hand, striking her down with a fatal blow, killing the insolent rival on the spot.
“You’re asking for death!” The Heavenly Emperor lunged at Qiongqi again, only to be kicked away by him.
He rolled several times on the ground, several ribs in his chest broken, his screams deafening, prompting Qiongqi to give him another slap.
“Truly annoying.”
Qiongqi knocked the Heavenly Emperor unconscious, then woke him up again, repeating the cycle of torment.
“You rotten, worthless fool!” He cursed while beating him. “If it weren’t for you, Ayang wouldn’t have lost his parents before he even hatched, nor would he have been humiliated by the immortals for over two hundred years, nor would he have fallen for your vile daughter!”
The other guests tried to resist, but those who did—whether immortals or demons—were killed.
They could only tremble as they watched the great demon Qiongqi abuse and curse the Heavenly Emperor, while Su Yan took the green ox demon king’s family outside.
Meanwhile, Su Yan had already decided the outcome of his fight with Ling Mo in just fifteen minutes, then dragged out the green ox demon king’s family and began beating them mercilessly.
“Stop, we surrender.”
Ling Mo and his father fled in disarray, unable to fight back.
“You like Zi Ni, don’t you? I’ll give her to you, I promise I won’t compete with you.” Seeing that Su Yan wouldn’t stop, Ling Mo tried to use Zi Ni as a bargaining chip. “Spare me, and I’ll stay far away from you.”
Su Yan swung his snake-bone whip, leaving a long gash on Ling Mo’s back.
“You think I’m fighting you for Zi Ni? Fool, I want the demon king’s throne!”
He smirked coldly, a smile that filled Ling Mo with terror.
“Do you think I don’t know about your scheme to ally with the immortals to seize the demon king’s throne?”
“Five hundred years ago, dissatisfied with my father, you secretly colluded with the Heavenly Emperor.” Su Yan turned around and kicked the helpless green ox demon king to the ground.
He said coldly, “First, you and the Heavenly Emperor captured the demon queen while she was pregnant with me, then when my father pretended to surrender to retrieve my mother’s body, you conspired with the Heavenly Emperor to murder him.”
“You took the opportunity to seize the demon king’s throne, leaving me, the son of the former demon king, as a hostage in the immortal realm, while you and your son enjoyed peace.”
Su Yan’s foot pressed harder on the green ox demon king, reflecting the brutality in his heart.
“Some actions demand repayment.”
The green ox demon king was on the verge of collapse, howling under Su Yan’s foot. “It wasn’t just me! The Heavenly Emperor was the mastermind! He wanted the demon realm and allied with me!”
“If you want revenge, go after the Heavenly Emperor!”
Su Yan’s expression darkened. “Don’t worry, he won’t escape either.”
“Today, not only will the demon realm change hands, but the immortal realm will also undergo a transformation.”
His snake-bone whip wrapped around the green ox demon king’s neck, and with a forceful tug, the thousand-year-old ox demon was decapitated.
Seeing his father’s gruesome death, Ling Mo’s first instinct was to flee as far as possible, hoping never to encounter this murderous snake demon again.
But he didn’t get far before Su Yan’s snake-bone whip dragged him back.
“Spare me! I won’t compete with you anymore! I don’t want the throne or the princess!”
“Please, let me live!”
Ling Mo had been beaten so badly that he had lost all hope of resisting Su Yan.
Su Yan walked toward him step by step, his lips pressed into a thin line, his expression cold as he stared at Ling Mo.
“Spare you? How laughable.”
He stepped on Ling Mo’s thigh. “Back then, I begged you to spare me, but you didn’t. How can you expect me to spare you now?”
Ling Mo, drenched in sweat, pleaded, “Su Yan, I’ll return your demon core to you…”
“I admit my guilt. I’ll go to the wasteland now. Please, don’t kill me.”
Su Yan grabbed Ling Mo’s neck and punched him hard in the face.
“It’s too late for repentance now.”
He raised his left hand, conjuring a large rock, and smashed it into Ling Mo’s head.
“Thud! Thud! Thud!”
Ling Mo’s head was covered in blood, his limbs twitching, his neck still gripped tightly by Su Yan. He gritted his teeth, trying to endure the pain, but couldn’t hold back his screams.
“You scum, just kill me if you have the guts.”
Su Yan raised an eyebrow. “As you wish.” After all, it was Ling Mo’s own request.
He released Ling Mo and stood up, swinging his snake-bone whip to give Ling Mo a quick death. Then he summoned demonic flames, incinerating the bodies of Ling Mo and his father into ashes, leaving only Ling Mo’s demon core intact.
“This is my demon core.” Su Yan held the golden demon core that had spilled from Ling Mo’s body. “Now it’s finally returned to its rightful owner.”
He put away the demon core but did not absorb it into his body to enhance his power.
Su Yan returned to the wedding hall, searching for his next enemy.
“Heavenly Emperor, the time has come for you to repay the debt of killing my parents!”
Hearing Su Yan’s voice, Qiongqi tossed the Heavenly Emperor in front of him. “A’Yan, he’s yours to deal with.”
Su Yan flicked his snake-bone whip, the whip coiling around the Heavenly Emperor’s body, causing the ruler of the three realms to convulse in agony.
“Su Yan, how dare you kill the emperor!” Even in his dying moments, the Heavenly Emperor tried to stand on moral high ground to condemn Su Yan, but Su Yan wasn’t having it.
“Kill the emperor? You were the one who killed my parents first! How dare you lecture me now!”
Su Yan’s lips curled into a mocking smile, his eyes gleaming with disdain.
“Who would dare stop me if I kill the emperor and seize the throne today? Look around—who in the three realms would stand by you?”
The treacherous fool, unworthy of his position, still couldn’t recognize the situation.
If it weren’t for the protagonist’s halo protecting the Heavenly Emperor and the green ox demon king, such lowly individuals would never have risen to power.
Now that Zi Ni and Ling Mo were dead, their so-called protagonist halo had long since vanished, and Su Yan, the golden snake demon, was the new protagonist.
Unworthy protagonists like Zi Ni and Ling Mo would naturally be replaced by the new one.
Those who follow the right path gain support, while those who stray lose it.
