Just as Lin Qingqing was about to sit down, she suddenly received a text message.
Upon reading its contents, her face changed drastically…
Lin Qingqing was never good at hiding things. Almost instinctively, she lifted her head and looked toward Leng Yifeng.
Leng Yifeng smirked provocatively, shaking a small bottle filled with a colorless, odorless liquid at her.
Lin Qingqing clenched her fists tightly.
How could this be happening?
Yin Hanyu, being as sharp as he was, naturally didn’t miss her subtle movements.
However, he remained calm and poured himself a glass of wine.
Thinking about the text Leng Yifeng had just sent her, Lin Qingqing couldn’t even bring herself to fawn over Yin Hanyu anymore.
Her mind was in turmoil as she clutched her wine glass, her hands trembling slightly.
Just then, another text notification sounded.
Lin Qingqing glanced at it and subconsciously let out a sigh of relief.
But the next second, another message arrived.
This time, her hands trembled uncontrollably.
She looked at Yin Hanyu, as if making a crucial decision.
Yin Hanyu acted as though he hadn’t noticed anything, leisurely sipping his red wine.
“You really like drinking,” she commented.
“Hmm…” Yin Hanyu replied absentmindedly, but his gaze was directed toward Lin Qingyou and Leng Yifeng in the distance.
“Brother Hanyu, the wine here isn’t good enough for you. I have a bottle of Romanée-Conti in my room. Let me take you there to taste it.”
“Sure…” Yin Hanyu set down his glass and got up to follow Lin Qingqing.
The moment they left, Leng Yifeng turned to Lin Qingyou with a sneer. “Looks like Yin Hanyu only has a three-minute interest in you.”
“Is that so?” Lin Qingyou asked indifferently. “And so what?”
Leng Yifeng was momentarily stunned. “Qingyou, Yin Hanyu isn’t as great as you think.”
“I don’t need anyone to tell me whether he is or not,” she said sarcastically, staring at Leng Yifeng. “But I did overestimate you.”
“You—” Leng Yifeng gritted his teeth in anger. He then handed her a small bottle.
Lin Qingyou frowned, feigning surprise. “What’s this?”
“What’s this?” Leng Yifeng sneered. “Lin Qingqing planned to ruin your reputation tonight, but I found out in advance. If I hadn’t stopped it, you’d be finished by now.”
Lin Qingyou’s expression changed, staring at Leng Yifeng in disbelief. “You stopped it? Why? Since when are you so kind?”
“I’m not,” Leng Yifeng replied with a sinister smile.
But Lin Qingqing was a useful pawn.
Using such a small, insignificant woman to destroy Yin Hanyu was an unexpected delight.
Because of this, he had even canceled his plan to have an assassin kill Yin Hanyu.
After all, sometimes living was more painful than dying.
Letting a god-like figure fall into the mud, despised by thousands, was far more entertaining than simply ending his life.
Inside the room, Lin Qingqing eagerly poured wine for Yin Hanyu.
She was visibly nervous and kept sneaking glances at him.
Little did she know, Yin Hanyu wasn’t looking at her at all. He stood quietly by the window, his tall figure blending into the night outside.
His slender fingers lightly traced a necklace on his wrist, his deep eyes unreadable.
“Brother Hanyu, try this…” Lin Qingqing spoke in a delicate voice, carefully handing him a glass of red wine.
Without any expression, Yin Hanyu accepted the glass and slowly brought it to his lips.
Seeing this, Lin Qingqing felt a surge of hope.
Drink it, drink it.
As long as he drank it, half of her plan would be complete.
However, just as she was about to celebrate, Yin Hanyu suddenly reached out, gripping her chin with lightning speed.
Before she could react, he forced the entire glass of wine down her throat.
The burning liquid scorched its way down, causing Lin Qingqing to choke and cough violently, tears streaming uncontrollably from her eyes.
“Cough… cough… Brother Hanyu, you…” she gasped, her face turning red from choking.
But Yin Hanyu remained unmoved. He cut her off coldly, “I told you, don’t call me that.”
His voice was icy, carrying an unrelenting coldness and indifference.
“You…” Lin Qingqing widened her eyes in disbelief at the ruthless man before her.
Wasn’t he fine just moments ago?
“Brother Hanyu…”
“I said, don’t call me that.”
Yin Hanyu’s face darkened, and the next second, he suddenly grabbed Lin Qingqing by the throat.
“You are not worthy of calling me that.”
“Then who is? Lin Qingyou?” Lin Qingqing asked bitterly. “Why does she get to?”
“Of course she does…”
His answer was firm and decisive, without hesitation.
With that, he ruthlessly tossed Lin Qingqing to the ground.
She landed with a thud, looking utterly humiliated and miserable.
“So just now… you were only helping Lin Qingyou?”
“What else?”
Whatever little hope Lin Qingqing had instantly shattered.
It was replaced by jealousy, rage, and hatred…
Why couldn’t he see her?
She was the one who truly loved him.
Climbing back to her feet, Lin Qingqing glared at Yin Hanyu with venomous eyes. “Yin Hanyu, if you are heartless, don’t blame me for being ruthless…”
As she spoke, she began unbuttoning her dress.
She was wearing a shimmering gold slip dress, and with a single pull, her shoulders were exposed, making her look extremely seductive.
But in Yin Hanyu’s eyes, there was only disgust. He smirked coldly. “Is this Leng Yifeng’s plan?”
“You… you knew?”
“You actually knew?”
Lin Qingqing was stunned. She had only just been threatened by Leng Yifeng.
But then she thought about it—Leng Yifeng was right.
With so many influential guests and media present tonight, as long as she was willing to “sacrifice herself,” Yin Hanyu would have no choice but to be tied to her for life.
As for her reputation? She could fix that later.
First, she had to force Yin Hanyu to marry her.
If he refused, she would accuse him of assault.
“How did you know?”
“You think everyone is as stupid as you?”
“You—”
Seeing that Yin Hanyu was about to leave, Lin Qingqing screamed, “You’re not allowed to go!”
“Yin Hanyu, if you dare to leave, I’ll scream. The guests will come running, and they’ll see me half-dressed in a room alone with you…”
“So what?”
“What do you mean, ‘so what’? Yin Hanyu, are you pretending to be ignorant? If I claim that you forced yourself on me… your reputation will be ruined.”
“Is that so?”
“No matter how powerful your family is, with all the important people and media here, they’ll abandon you for their own reputation. You’ll lose everything…”
Yin Hanyu feigned surprise. “That serious? I’m so scared.”
Then, he suddenly turned around, as if surrendering. “Then what do you want me to do?”
“Marry me!”
