In the afternoon, Lin Qingyou dressed up carefully, smiling as she linked arms with Yin Hanyu, and the two headed to the Leng family home together.
“Sis-in-law, why are you dressing up so beautifully to visit the Leng family?”
In the past, his brother would have assumed she still had feelings for Leng Yifeng. After all, women dress up for those they admire.
Lin Qingyou saw through Yin Yichen’s thoughts and immediately kicked him. “What do you know? I’m now the wife of the highest decision-maker. And I don’t dress up to look pretty—I’m already pretty.”
Yin Yichen: “…”
So narcissistic, yet somehow irrefutable.
Yin Yichen asked, “Then why did you dress up?”
Lin Qingyou lifted her chin proudly. “For the aura, of course! I need to look exquisite, noble, and elegant. I want to flaunt it and make Leng Yifeng and Ruan Lan furious.”
Yin Yichen: “…”
Are they really that easy to anger?
Yin Yichen muttered, “I think my brother is the one who’s more likely to get pissed off.”
Yin Hanyu’s face darkened as he pushed Yin Yichen aside. “Leng Yifeng is long out of the picture. Got it?”
Yin Yichen: “…”
“Let’s go, hubby.” Lin Qingyou said, “We shouldn’t waste time with single guys.”
Yin Hanyu nodded. “Alright, wifey.”
Yin Yichen: “…”
“So annoying…”
But even as he complained, watching his brother and sister-in-law walk hand in hand so harmoniously made Yin Yichen smile unconsciously.
On the way there, Yin Hanyu and Lin Qingyou chatted and laughed, as if their happiness illuminated the whole world.
However, when Ruan Lan and Leng Yifeng learned that Lin Qingyou and Yin Hanyu were visiting, they were visibly shocked!!!
Especially Leng Yifeng—his heart was filled with resentment and unwillingness.
At this moment, Leng Yifeng hated Yin Hanyu to the core, wishing he could tear him apart.
The entire circle was abuzz with news—Lin Qingyou had officially become the wife of the most powerful decision-maker, Yin Hanyu!
Some envied her for her incredible luck, achieving an effortless social ascent and securing a life of prosperity.
Others sincerely offered their blessings, praising them as a perfect match, a couple made in heaven.
Regardless of opinions, one fact remained unchanged—Lin Qingyou was now Yin Hanyu’s legitimate wife.
Seeing Yin Hanyu’s smug expression, Leng Yifeng clenched his fists in fury.
He had to watch the woman he loved fall into the arms of the man he despised the most.
And now, Yin Hanyu was not only her husband but also the most powerful man in their world.
He had beauty by his side and power in his hands—how could Leng Yifeng not be consumed with jealousy?
His heart bled with hatred, and he swore to take back everything that was his.
“What are you doing here?” Leng Yifeng’s tone was hostile as he glared at Yin Hanyu. “You’re not welcome in my home.”
Yin Hanyu raised an eyebrow. “Didn’t you say you were coming to the Yin family to apologize? I don’t see you keeping your word.”
“You—”
Leng Yifeng nearly spat out blood in anger.
That was just a courtesy, mere words—who actually takes it seriously?!
Lin Qingyou turned to Leng Yifeng. “Don’t misunderstand, I’m just here to pick up something. My husband didn’t feel comfortable letting me come alone, so he accompanied me.”
Husband?
Hearing that word, Leng Yifeng’s heart clenched in pain.
“Pick up what?” It was Ruan Lan who asked, keeping her composure unlike Leng Yifeng.
Her gaze lingered on Lin Qingyou’s delicate wrist.
Seeing her still wearing that bracelet, Ruan Lan seemed satisfied.
“Aunt Lan, when I used to take care of Leng Yifeng, I compiled many medicinal diet recipes and left them in your kitchen. Lately…”
Lin Qingyou hesitated.
“What about lately?” Ruan Lan pressed on.
“I don’t know…”
Lin Qingyou rubbed her forehead helplessly. “I’ve been feeling weak and lacking energy recently.”
“So, I wanted to take those recipes and make some nourishing medicinal food for myself.”
Hearing this, Ruan Lan smiled gently. “You should take care of your health.”
Then she turned to Yin Hanyu, as if about to say something, but quickly changed her words. “As her husband, how could you not take better care of her?”
Lin Qingyou smirked internally. How “concerned” she was.
But she kept up her sweet smile. “Aunt Lan, don’t scold my baby. He hasn’t been feeling well either, actually worse than me.”
“Oh? Is that so?”
Ruan Lan said nothing more and led Lin Qingyou to the kitchen.
Inside the kitchen, the neatly stacked recipe books were exactly where Lin Qingyou had left them.
The covers were decorated with colorful drawings, and some pages were worn from frequent use.
Flipping through them, she saw countless notes scribbled in different colors, key points underlined and circled multiple times.
Each mark told a story—of how much effort she had poured into helping Leng Yifeng recover.
Holding the recipes, Lin Qingyou’s gaze swept over them, and a bitter smile formed on her lips.
She had been so foolish.
She had let herself be played like a fool, manipulated like a clown, and hadn’t even realized it.
Now, it was her turn to play with them.
She gathered the recipes and turned back to Ruan Lan, her usual expression restored.
“Thank you, Aunt Lan. I’ll be leaving now.”
As Lin Qingyou got into the car, Ruan Lan feigned concern.
“Qingyou, if you’re unwell, do you want me to recommend a doctor for you?”
“No need.” Lin Qingyou replied. “The Yin family has the best medical team, and they’ve already checked me.”
Ruan Lan immediately asked, “Did they find anything?”
“Nothing serious…” Lin Qingyou said with an innocent expression. “They just said I’m a bit weak.”
Then, as if shy, she covered her face and added, “They specifically advised us not to overindulge too much.”
Ruan Lan: “…”
Leng Yifeng: “…”
Yin Hanyu: “…”
Was she implying something about him? Or him? Or him?!
On the way back, Yin Hanyu snorted coldly.
Lin Qingyou pouted. “So petty.”
Yin Hanyu smirked. “You’re the petty one. You’re the one who said you enjoyed it in bed.”
“Ahhh!” Lin Qingyou smacked him, blushing. “Don’t say it! Don’t say it!”
Yin Hanyu grinned mischievously. “Alright, but tonight, you have to be extra cooperative.”
“Ahhh! Yin Hanyu, you shameless scoundrel!”
Of course, she had said those things on purpose.
Because that bracelet wasn’t just meant to deal with her.
It was meant to deal with Yin Hanyu too.
When she discovered its true purpose, she had to admit—Ruan Lan was truly vicious.
