“Do you still remember Yin Hanyu?” Lin Zhiwei asked.
“Yin Hanyu?” Lin Qingyou frowned as she tried hard to recall, but in the end, she shook her head. “Who is Yin Hanyu?”
“He is your husband. You were already married. But… but…”
Lin Zhiwei hesitated and didn’t continue speaking.
“But what?” Lin Qingyou immediately pressed for an answer.
“But he hurt you…”
“He hurt me?” Lin Qingyou clenched her fists. “Is my injury related to him?”
Lin Zhiwei nodded, his voice filled with pain. “At that time, you were furious and wanted to leave him. But in the struggle between you two, an accident happened, and you hit your head.”
As Lin Qingyou clenched her fists tighter, a deep hatred flickered in her eyes. “Then why are we at sea?”
Before Lin Zhiwei could answer, Lin Qingyou suddenly grabbed his hand. “Dad, I hate being on the sea. Can we go back to land?”
“No!”
Lin Zhiwei firmly refused, his eyes locked onto Lin Qingyou. “Why do you want to go back to land?”
“Because I feel unwell…”
Lin Qingyou placed her hand on her stomach. “I keep feeling cramps in my abdomen, and when I went to the restroom, I saw blood. I asked the doctor, and she told me that I’m pregnant. But because of my injury, the baby is in danger.”
“The doctor also said that if we delay any longer, my own life will be at risk too…” Lin Qingyou looked at Lin Zhiwei with worry. “Dad, I don’t want to die…”
“It’s because of this child that Yin Hanyu is trying to take you back. He’s probably chasing after us as we speak.”
Lin Zhiwei sighed in pain. “Qingyou, I took you away to protect you.”

“I said…” Lin Qingyou’s gaze was filled with cold determination. “I don’t want this child anymore. Find a doctor—I want to get rid of it.”
“What nonsense are you saying?” Lin Zhiwei scolded her with a hint of disapproval. “This is still your baby. How can you just get rid of it?”
“Don’t worry…” Lin Zhiwei took her hand, putting on a fatherly act. “I’ll take good care of you and your child. Even though we’ve been forced to flee and leave our home, we can still raise a child.”
“But didn’t you say Yin Hanyu hurt me?” Lin Qingyou stared at her stomach with no sign of motherly affection—only hatred. “Why should I keep a scumbag’s child?”

All of them took orders from Lin Zhiwei. Over the past two days, Lin Qingyou had been showing signs of bleeding, but Lin Zhiwei had forbidden them from giving her any medication to save the baby.
So, they had only treated her head injury.
As for the child, they hadn’t cared at all.

After a moment of silence, Lin Zhiwei nodded. “Do as she says. If she doesn’t want the baby, then get rid of it.”
Then, he comforted Lin Qingyou. “It’s better this way. Without this child, you can finally sever all ties with Yin Hanyu.”

A female doctor quickly suggested, “How about waiting until we dock and going to a proper hospital for the procedure?”

“How about this…” The doctor suggested from a medical perspective. “We can give Miss Lin some medication to stabilize the pregnancy and ease her pain. Once we reach land, we can take her to a proper hospital for the procedure.”
“No.” Lin Qingyou protested. “At this rate, it’ll take at least a week to reach shore. I’d rather end this quickly. The worst that could happen is death.”
“But I might not even die.” She emphasized the word “die” but continued to glare at her stomach with disgust. “I really don’t want this thing inside me anymore. It makes me sick and miserable…”
“This…” The doctor looked at Lin Zhiwei with uncertainty.
“Dad, I won’t die. Just let me get rid of this bastard.”
Lin Zhiwei stared at Lin Qingyou for a long time before finally deciding. “Do as you suggested—give her the medication to ease the pain and stabilize her for now. Once we reach land, we’ll take her to a proper hospital for the procedure.”
