Chapter 20: Princess, Please Get Off the Car
As they neared Leng Yifeng’s house, Lin Qingyou tightly grasped Yin Hanyu’s hand. Even when he tried to pull away, she only held on more firmly.
Yin Hanyu slightly parted his lips as if to say something, but in the end, he remained silent, allowing Lin Qingyou to hold his hand.
Soon, the car sped to a stop at the entrance of the Leng family’s villa.
The way the car braked alone revealed Yin Yichen’s anger and displeasure.
He furiously yelled at Lin Qingyou, “We’re here! Are you blind? Get off the car already!”
Yin Hanyu shot him a sharp glare.
Yin Yichen immediately corrected himself with an awkward cough, changing his tone, “Princess, please get off the car!”
Hmph, who was he doing this for, anyway?
His brother was seriously siding with an outsider.
Lin Qingyou looked at Yin Hanyu. “I want you to go in with me…”
“You’re pushing it, Lin Qingyou!” Yin Yichen exploded once again, his pride wounded.
What did this woman take his brother for?
Bringing her to Leng Yifeng’s doorstep was already the limit—now she wanted him to go inside too? Did she think she could just do whatever she wanted?
“You’re coming in with me.” Lin Qingyou’s gaze was unwavering as she repeated herself in an extremely serious tone.
Yin Hanyu pressed his lips together, lost in thought. He didn’t immediately respond.
Seeing his hesitation, Lin Qingyou felt she might be forcing him too much, so she slowly loosened her grip on his hand.
Sensing her emotions, Yin Hanyu immediately tightened his hold on her.
He said,
“Okay.”
Lin Qingyou immediately threw herself into Yin Hanyu’s arms, hugging him tightly.
Yin Hanyu, this time, I will never let you down.
At that moment, inside the Leng family’s living room, Jiang Zhuocheng was still present.
He had just finished a call with Gu Huai regarding a contract signing, but to his frustration, Gu Huai flatly rejected him without hesitation.
He didn’t even give him a chance to meet. This made Jiang Zhuocheng so angry that he nearly smashed something.
However, since he was in Leng Yifeng’s house, he had to suppress his temper as much as possible.
Leng Yifeng, on the other hand, was in a rather good mood. He thought he had successfully pressured Lin Qingyou into coming back to apologize to him, so he was leisurely pruning the flowers in front of him.
Just as Jiang Zhuocheng was about to say something, he noticed Lin Qingyou walking in hand-in-hand with Yin Hanyu.
“Yifeng…”
“So? Did Gu Huai agree to the contract?” Leng Yifeng asked while trimming the flower branches. “He’s a top-tier celebrity, after all. A few requests here and there aren’t unreasonable. Don’t make the contract too strict.”
Hearing no response from Jiang Zhuocheng, Leng Yifeng slowly turned around.
But the moment he did, his previously calm gaze darkened instantly.
Because the sight that met his eyes was Lin Qingyou and Yin Hanyu holding hands, fingers interlocked.
Hah… so this is how you want to provoke me?
Leng Yifeng let out a cold laugh and gave Yin Hanyu a disdainful look.
“The esteemed young master of the Yin family really enjoys being a tool, huh?”
Lin Qingyou was about to retort, but Yin Hanyu merely smirked. “That’s right. But what does that have to do with you? Why are you always so concerned about me, Young Master Leng?”
Leng Yifeng choked on his words, his expression stiffening. His gaze then shifted back to Lin Qingyou and Yin Hanyu’s intertwined hands, his voice laced with sarcasm.
“Qingyou, don’t be so childish.”
“Childish?” Lin Qingyou was taken aback. “What’s childish?”
Leng Yifeng sneered, “You’re just using Yin Hanyu to provoke me, hoping I’ll be the first to lower my head.”
He then turned to Jiang Zhuocheng. “Zhuocheng, the hotel incident was just a misunderstanding. It’s beneath us to argue with a woman. Apologize to Qingyou, and we’ll put this matter to rest.”
“A misunderstanding? An apology? And it’s over just like that?”
Every word sounded more ridiculous than the last.
Lin Qingyou actually laughed.
She was laughing at her own foolishness.
In her past life, she had hurt Yin Hanyu—and even everyone around her—all because of this kind of man.
Jiang Zhuocheng, obediently following Leng Yifeng’s command, immediately apologized, “Sorry, Qingyou, my dear sister. Can you forgive me?”
But despite his words, his gaze was shamelessly scanning Lin Qingyou up and down.
“I. Do. Not. Forgive. You!” Lin Qingyou enunciated each word clearly. “Not only will I not forgive you, but I’m also going to sue you.”
“What did you just say?” Jiang Zhuocheng’s face darkened, and he immediately looked to Leng Yifeng for help.
Leng Yifeng’s expression turned grim as he snapped at Lin Qingyou, “Sue him for what? Do you really want to make a scene for the whole world to see? Haven’t you embarrassed yourself enough already?”
“How have I embarrassed myself?”
Lin Qingyou took a step closer to Jiang Zhuocheng and Leng Yifeng. “Being beautiful isn’t my fault. But you, a despicable scumbag, betrayed your friend for lust and even attempted to assault me—that’s a crime.”
“What nonsense are you spouting?!” Jiang Zhuocheng vehemently denied it, grasping at straws. “You were drunk that night, and I just tried to help you up! You’re overreacting…”
“Oh, really?” Lin Qingyou stared him down before casually tapping on her phone. “That hotel belongs to my family, and since it was my birthday, I set up a camera to record a birthday VCR. Who knew it would end up capturing garbage like you instead?”
“Jiang Zhuocheng, go explain yourself to the police.”
“I… I…” Jiang Zhuocheng’s face turned deathly pale.
He never expected Lin Qingyou to have video evidence.
That night, he had indeed been overcome with lust.
Lin Qingyou was breathtakingly beautiful to begin with, and since it was her birthday, she had dressed up even more stunningly.
Adding to that, she had been drinking, and when she opened the door, her flushed face looked as tempting as a ripe summer peach.
Desire had overwhelmed him, and he lost control.
But even in her drunken state, he hadn’t succeeded. She had slapped him multiple times, and when Yin Hanyu arrived looking for her, he had smashed a bottle over his head, nearly sending him straight to hell.
Yet Jiang Zhuocheng had never been afraid.
He was sure Lin Qingyou wouldn’t dare expose the incident.
A woman’s reputation was everything.
Lin Qingyou’s father was old-fashioned and conservative.
To protect her name and the Lin family’s reputation, she wouldn’t dare to make this public.
But Lin Qingyou was proving to him—she dared.
“I’ve already contacted a lawyer to take this to court,” Lin Qingyou stated firmly.
“You wouldn’t dare!” Jiang Zhuocheng was both terrified and enraged. “You admitted the hotel is yours, and you set up the camera—how do I know you didn’t tamper with the footage to frame me? That video isn’t even valid evidence!”
“Oh, really?”
Suddenly, Yin Hanyu swiftly kicked Jiang Zhuocheng right in his most vulnerable spot.
Jiang Zhuocheng collapsed to the ground in agony, clutching himself in pain and drenched in sweat.
Yin Hanyu then stepped on his throat, towering over him.
“Trash, did you forget? I am a witness.”
Jiang Zhuocheng: “……”
