Yin Hanyu’s outfit made Lin Qingyou increasingly amused the more she looked at him. “Why did you scare that girl like that?”
That girl had just run off faster than a rabbit.
Yin Hanyu replied, “Her family may have some influence, but her brother is a notorious second-generation rich kid—arrogant and reckless since childhood. She absolutely hates people like her brother.”
Yin Hanyu looked at himself with disdain. “So I just imitated that trashy brother of hers.”
Lin Qingyou: “…”
“That’s so mean,” Lin Qingyou scoffed and gave him a light slap.
Yin Hanyu shrugged. “It may be a bit mean, but it worked well.”
Since this was just a blind date, leaving a bad first impression would ensure there wouldn’t be a second meeting.
Lin Qingyou crossed her arms and stared at him. “I overheard your phone call—there’s more?”
Yin Hanyu stiffened and nodded. “Two more. I’ve already scared off four out of six.”
Lin Qingyou: “…”
Gu Xi: “…”
Hahaha! She really wanted to laugh!
Lin Qingyou stared at him intently. “So… are you still going?”
Yin Hanyu asked, “Do you want the truth?”
Lin Qingyou raised an eyebrow. “Of course.”
Yin Hanyu said, “Yes.”
Lin Qingyou: “…”
“You’ve got guts.” She smiled, but it didn’t reach her eyes.
Yin Hanyu immediately grabbed her hand. “Once I finish these meetings, I’ll have fulfilled my grandfather’s request. Then I can get the household registration book, and we can get married.”
So, he wasn’t going to quit halfway.
He had already dealt with four—why be afraid of the last two?
Lin Qingyou linked her arm with his. “Then I’ll go with you.”
Yin Hanyu was stunned.
Lin Qingyou’s eyes narrowed dangerously. “What? You don’t dare? Afraid to let others know I’m your girlfriend?”
“I just can’t believe you said that.” Yin Hanyu admitted, “Actually, I wanted to ask you to come with me, but I was worried it would make you uncomfortable. So I thought I should just handle it myself.”
She only needed to be his wife, not deal with all this nonsense.
“What’s uncomfortable about it?” Lin Qingyou said. “If you hide it from me, I’ll misunderstand, and that would hurt.
“But now that you’ve told me, I’m not upset at all.”
“Besides…” Lin Qingyou tightened her grip on his hand. “Our relationship is between the two of us, not just you. We should face this together.”
Yin Hanyu nodded repeatedly. “Alright, let’s go meet the next one.”
—
At that moment, Yin Yichen was sitting across from a girl in a pink princess dress, engaged in an intense staring contest.
The girl was unbelievably cute—like a life-sized doll, with big eyes and rosy cheeks.
Yin Yichen was feeling increasingly uneasy as she examined him from all angles.
He cleared his throat. “Why… are you staring at me?”
The pink-dressed girl said, “I just realized… you actually look pretty decent.”
“P-pretty decent?”
Yin Yichen instantly exploded. “What do you mean ‘pretty decent’?”
The girl blinked. “It means you look pretty decent. Is that so hard to understand?”
Yin Yichen pointed at his face. “You’re looking at my face—a face so handsome it could shake the heavens—and you call it ‘pretty decent’?! Do you even know what ‘pretty decent’ means?!”
The girl’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Are you a ‘white phosphorus personality’?”
Yin Yichen frowned. “What?”
The girl explained, “People like you—quick to ignite and explode at the slightest provocation.”
Yin Yichen: “…”
“What nonsense are you spouting???”
Yin Yichen jumped up, furious. “Who’s quick to explode?! Who ignites at the slightest provocation?!”
The girl excitedly pointed at him. “Yes! Just like that! That’s exactly it!”
Yin Yichen: “…”
“My idol is just like you—so much fun! I really like him.” She grabbed his hand. “How about this—you go on the blind date with me instead? Let’s not wait for your brother.”
Yin Yichen: “…”
Before he could protest, the girl launched into a self-introduction. “I’m An Ke’er—An as in my family name, Ke from Ke’er, and Er from Ke’er.”
Yin Yichen: “…”
“I’m twenty years, six months, and eleven days old.” She proudly stated her height, but when she got to her chest measurement, she faltered slightly. “I’m 167 cm tall, and my bust… um, still growing.”
Yin Yichen: “…”
Growing how? Like a small bun turning into a big bun?
At that moment, Yin Hanyu and Lin Qingyou walked in, hand in hand.
Yin Yichen saw them and instantly panicked.
Yin Hanyu and Lin Qingyou exchanged a confused look—what was going on?
The next second…
Yin Yichen wailed dramatically, “Brother! I’m sorry!!!”
Yin Hanyu frowned. “Yin Xiaosan, what nonsense are you pulling now?”
Yin Yichen looked guilt-ridden. “Brother, I didn’t mean to steal your woman! But my charm is too overwhelming—I have no choice!”
Yin Hanyu: “…”
Lin Qingyou: “…”
This wasn’t just nonsense—this was insanity.
An Ke’er suddenly jumped in front of Yin Hanyu. “So you’re Yin Hanyu—the one I’m supposed to meet?”
Yin Hanyu nodded but frowned.
His grandma had a really odd taste.
This girl didn’t even look like an adult.
Setting him up with a minor? What was she thinking?
An Ke’er circled around Yin Hanyu, examining him.
By now, he had returned to his usual sharp and handsome CEO look—no longer trying to scare people away.
On the way here, Lin Qingyou had told him there was no need to scare the girls anymore. They would just explain the situation honestly.
Those who understood would understand.
Those who didn’t—well, they wouldn’t force it.
An Ke’er finally came to a conclusion. “You’re really handsome.”
Lin Qingyou smiled. “You’re really cute.”
She truly was—a soft, adorable little girl.
An Ke’er looked at their clasped hands. “You two are a couple.”
Yin Hanyu was about to speak, but An Ke’er suddenly raised her hand to stop him and took a step back.
An Ke’er: “No need to explain—I understand. You’re the star-crossed lovers, the prince and the Cinderella, torn apart by evil parents.”
Yin Hanyu and Lin Qingyou exchanged glances. They nodded, then shook their heads.
“Don’t deny it—I get it. I understand everything.”
An Ke’er dramatically took Lin Qingyou’s hand, eyes full of sympathy. “Beautiful sister, don’t worry—I’m not the evil second female lead. I won’t break you two apart…”
“…But I want to join you.”
Lin Qingyou: “…”
Yin Hanyu: “…”
Yin Yichen: “…”
Three faces, completely bewildered.
What did she just say???
What did she mean by that???
