Rebirth: Drunken Kiss Night! Flirting, Spoiling, and Seducing My Arch-Nemesis into Marriage Chapter 99

Chapter 99: I Shouldn’t Have Left You Alone for So Long

The so-called reunion dinner ended in complete failure.

Yin Haoting drove away overnight, and Lan Si declared that he would never return.

Old Master Yin was so furious that he took several emergency heart pills. Yin Hanyu handed him a cup of warm water and said,
“You called me back in such a hurry just to witness this ‘brotherly love’?”

Hearing this, Old Master Yin nearly choked on his breath. He glared at Yin Hanyu viciously.
“If you want to piss me off to death, just say so.”

He had originally planned for his youngest son’s rare visit home to be an opportunity for a family reunion, so he had quickly summoned his eldest grandson back for dinner.

But before the grandson even arrived, the table had already been flipped over.

The more Old Master Yin thought about it, the more it made his heart seize up again.

“Why do they have such a bad relationship?” Yin Hanyu asked curiously.

Old Master Yin sighed,
“If I knew, they wouldn’t have ended up like this.”

Yin Hanyu was momentarily at a loss for words.

“They used to be very close,” Old Master Yin continued. “Back then, Haoting even went blind trying to save Asi.”

“Blind?” Yin Hanyu was surprised. “How did that happen?”

“There was a car accident. At the critical moment, he used his body to shield his brother. The resulting brain injury put pressure on his optic nerves, leaving him blind for several years.”

At this, Old Master Yin looked up at Yin Hanyu.
“He lived in hell during those years… It was your mother who pulled him out of it.”

“That’s why he loved your mother—loved her so deeply he couldn’t let go…”

Yin Hanyu was initially touched by the story. After all, someone willing to risk their life for family couldn’t be all bad.

But the moment Old Master Yin mentioned that Yin Haoting loved his mother “so deeply he couldn’t let go,” Yin Hanyu’s expression turned disdainful.

“If he truly loved my mother that much, I wouldn’t have grown up without a father… and my mother wouldn’t have died in his arms, covered in blood.”

“Hanyu, your father—”

Old Master Yin wanted to say more, but Yin Hanyu cut him off.
“I told you, I don’t have a father.”

“Since you’re fine now, I’m leaving.”

This chaotic Yin family—he didn’t want to stay a second longer.

Old Master Yin flared up again.
“Can’t you just stay home for one night?!”

“Home?” Yin Hanyu glanced mockingly at the grand Yin estate. “This isn’t my home.”

His home wasn’t here.

Without hesitation, he turned and left, striding firmly and decisively out of the heavy gates of the Yin residence.

Just as he stepped outside, his gaze unintentionally swept forward.

A lone figure stood in the distance—Lan Si.

Unlike the refined and elegant demeanor of Yin Haoting, Lan Si exuded an unmistakable arrogance. Every movement carried an air of reckless defiance.

It was hard to imagine someone like him joining the military—let alone rising to rule a nation.

His chiseled face was strikingly handsome, his sharp brows and deep-set eyes undimmed despite being in his forties. If anything, the passage of time had only deepened his commanding presence.

Yet, the rebellious gleam in his eyes remained unchanged, as if nothing in the world could faze him.

It was clear—Lan Si had been waiting for him.

Yin Hanyu approached with large strides. “Uncle, waiting for me on purpose?”

“You got married…”

Yin Hanyu nodded.

“Why didn’t you bring your wife home to meet everyone?”

“Bring her here?” Yin Hanyu scoffed. “So she can witness the chaos of the Yin family? Or watch you all fight and argue?”

“Fair point,” Lan Si said, unfazed by the sarcasm. Then he added, “At least take her to pay respects to your mother’s grave.”

“She would be happy to know you got married.”

At these words, Yin Hanyu’s expression softened. Pride filled his voice.
“Of course. My mother adored her even when she was little.”

Lan Si nodded.
“Whatever you love, your mother would have loved too.”

Yin Hanyu suddenly looked at him.
“Uncle, were you close with my mother?”

Lan Si didn’t answer. He simply met Yin Hanyu’s gaze and said,
“I want to meet your wife. Can I?”

“No.”

Yin Hanyu refused outright.

Lan Si didn’t seem surprised. “Why? Afraid I’ll break you two up? Don’t worry, I’m not that old-fashioned. I don’t care about social status either.”

“I’m just curious—what kind of woman managed to win you over?”

Yin Hanyu replied, “You’d scare her. Worse, you’d bring her unnecessary trouble.”

After all, Lan Si’s identity was too complicated.

“Fair enough.”

Lan Si didn’t push further. Instead, he pulled out a finely crafted box and handed it to Yin Hanyu.

Yin Hanyu took it, puzzled. “What’s this?”

Lan Si was already walking away. “Consider it a wedding gift from me.”

When Yin Hanyu arrived home, the living room was silent.

But as he reached the bedroom door, he noticed the light was still on.

It turned out Lin Qingyou hadn’t gone to sleep yet.

However, her posture was rather odd. She was curled up inside the thick blankets, leaving only her little head exposed. Her gaze was focused and mysterious, her face flushed red.

It was as if she was sneaking around.

Curious, Yin Hanyu tiptoed toward the bed—then suddenly yanked the covers away.

Lin Qingyou let out a startled yelp, like a frightened little bunny.

“Yin Hanyu! What are you doing?!” she scolded, realizing it was him.

Yin Hanyu smirked playfully.
“I should be asking you. What are you up to at this hour, hiding under the blanket? You look so guilty.”

Lin Qingyou’s face turned crimson. She stammered, unable to form a complete sentence.

“I… I…”

Her eyes darted around, avoiding his gaze.

How could she possibly admit that she had been secretly reading… those kinds of comics?

That would be way too embarrassing!

Before she could think of an excuse, Yin Hanyu’s eyes landed on her phone, which had just fallen onto the pillow.

One glance—his face instantly darkened.

“Lin. Qing. You…” He gritted his teeth, enunciating every word.

Oh, he was definitely mad.

“Give it back! Give it back now!”

Lin Qingyou panicked, desperate to snatch her phone back.

But Yin Hanyu reacted quickly, raising it above his head, keeping it out of her reach.

Not only that, but he continued scrolling through its contents.

As the seconds ticked by, his expression grew even darker—like a storm brewing on the horizon.

“Hurry up and return it to me!”

Lin Qingyou was both mortified and furious, on the verge of tears.

At that moment, she felt like the unluckiest person in the world.

She had actually gotten caught red-handed reading that kind of stuff?!

Ahhhhhhhh! Somebody, please dig a hole for her to crawl into!

But in truth, her intentions were innocent.

After all, both she and Yin Hanyu were inexperienced in certain matters.

She had only wanted to learn from the comics…

She had thought he wouldn’t be coming home tonight.

Who knew he’d return so soon?!

“Are you mad?” Lin Qingyou peeked at Yin Hanyu through her fingers.

Instead of answering, he suddenly pinned her down.

“Wife, this is my fault—I shouldn’t have left you alone for so long. Let me make it up to you…”

Lin Qingyou’s eyes widened in shock.

Wait, no! That’s not what she meant!

But clearly—her protests no longer mattered.
