Chapter 46
As a child raised in a fishing village, fighting was almost a mandatory skill, and in addition to that, An Xiaohai had a lot of real-life combat experience. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have rushed in without hesitation when he heard that Lin Xuan’er was being bullied.
An Xiaohai had also studied how to fight more efficiently—how to protect himself when being attacked, where to strike, and which areas were dangerous and should be avoided. He knew all of this very well.
During his time in military training at the National University of Defense Technology, An Xiaohai practiced military boxing for a while. However, back then, he didn’t have the perseverance to continue and couldn’t bear the hardship, so he stopped after only two days.
At that time, An Xiaohai was also quite weak physically. He knew many fighting techniques but couldn’t perform them properly without a strong body to support him.
But now, things were different.
After several months of intense training and sufficient nutrition, An Xiaohai may not have appeared drastically different, but he was no longer the weak An Xiaohai he once was.
The nose is the only protruding part of the human face, and since the nasal bone is made of cartilage, its defense is almost nonexistent. A hard blow to the nose not only causes injury but also leaves the person dazed, with tears and mucus flowing, losing all ability to resist for a while.
To strike the nose effectively, it’s better to use the palm of the hand rather than a fist. The palm covers a larger area, and the damage lasts longer.
An Xiaohai delivered a swift, forceful palm strike to the opponent’s nose. As soon as his palm hit the nasal bone, he clearly heard a faint crack.
The guy’s nose bone was probably broken.
In fighting, it’s either don’t strike at all or hit to win—if you hesitate, you’re likely to lose. This is the golden rule of fighting.
After delivering the strike, An Xiaohai exploded into action, moving like lightning, throwing rapid punches to the opponent’s vulnerable points—throat, philtrum, and temples. The leader was immediately disoriented, completely losing his ability to resist.
It wasn’t that the leader was weak—how could someone so weak rise to such a position in this prison?
The key was An Xiaohai’s appearance—it was too deceptive!
Who would expect someone who looked like a student, with a soft voice, to suddenly strike without warning?
What’s more, he dared to attack! Didn’t he care about his future?
At this point, the leader’s underlings finally reacted, shouting and rushing toward An Xiaohai.
“Ten thousand!” An Xiaohai shouted loudly at Peng Yuangui, showing no intention of backing down. His fists rained down on the leader’s head with unrelenting force.
The group of underlings didn’t even understand what An Xiaohai had shouted, but Peng Yuangui was already charging at them, leaping into the crowd, throwing himself into the fray!
Peng Yuangui was frantic, screaming and attacking in every possible way.
At the beginning, the messenger monkey was caught off guard and grabbed by Peng Yuangui. Peng Yuangui bit into his shoulder, tearing off a small piece of flesh, causing blood to splash everywhere as the victim screamed in pain!
The scene instantly descended into chaos. Uninvolved prisoners scattered, fearing they might get caught up in the mess.
Although Peng Yuangui’s helpers were effective, An Xiaohai, at the center of the storm, was being attacked from all sides. But An Xiaohai didn’t care!
In this situation, it’s not about who attacks you—there are too many enemies to fight them all. The only choice is to focus on taking down one person. If it comes down to it, it’s worth trading one life for another!
So, all of An Xiaohai’s attacks were focused on the leader, ignoring the blows landing on him. He just had to be careful not to be grabbed.
Suddenly, the sound of a warning from the guards and the opening of the iron door echoed outside the dormitory. An Xiaohai knew his time was running out. His current progress was far from enough to intimidate these people.
An Xiaohai grabbed the leader’s shoulder and, with all his strength, delivered a knee strike to the leader’s abdomen.
Although the leader had endured a series of attacks from An Xiaohai in such a short time, he was still experienced in fighting. In a reflex, he raised his hands to block the blow.
But his hands couldn’t compete with An Xiaohai’s powerful legs. Despite being partially blocked, the knee still hit the leader in the abdomen, causing him to grunt in pain.
An Xiaohai knew this was the moment. He quickly spun around, hooking the leader’s arm and throwing him over his shoulder, aiming for the edge of the iron bed frame!
“Ah!”
The leader’s back slammed against the iron bed frame, letting out a shrill cry that didn’t sound human. The intense pain caused him to writhe on the ground, struggling like a dying worm.
“Damn, what a pity…” An Xiaohai thought, gritting his teeth.
The fact that the leader was still writhing meant he hadn’t injured his spine, just his muscles. It wasn’t a serious injury, and with some rest, he’d recover.
So, it was a pity.
An Xiaohai’s ideal result was to seriously injure the leader so that he wouldn’t cause trouble for some time.
At this point, the guards had rushed into the room. Most of the prisoners had stopped fighting under the guards’ threats, but a few were still attacking An Xiaohai and Peng Yuangui.
The guards shouted but were forced to use their batons to suppress the chaos.
The scene was a mess—iron beds were overturned, and various personal items were scattered all over the floor!
The leader lay on the ground, twisting and groaning in pain, while An Xiaohai and Peng Yuangui, both injured, lay on their backs, gasping for air.
Blood was splattered everywhere, resembling blooming plum blossoms, and it was impossible to tell whose blood was whose.
“Unbelievable! What do you think you’re doing? Speak up! Who started this?” A young guard shouted, pointing his baton at several prisoners.
“Forget about that. Let’s handle the wounded first,” an older guard gently pushed him, reminding him to focus on the injured.
“Fine, you guys carry the wounded to the infirmary and come back to deal with them!” the young guard said angrily.
The personnel changes at the first prison weren’t finished yet, and the new warden hadn’t had a chance to make an example of anyone yet!
Now, this had happened in cell 27, and it was in broad daylight. With such a ruckus, it was impossible to cover it up.
This was going to be trouble.
Several of the leader’s underlings rushed to help him up, but no one was concerned about An Xiaohai and Peng Yuangui.
“Didn’t I tell you to help him? Where is he? Do I need to ask you one by one?”
The young guard was visibly on the edge of losing his temper, but the underlings didn’t dare to interfere with An Xiaohai and Peng Yuangui. If they helped them, they would be dealing with more than just their leader.
“You want to resist, huh?”
The young guard was furious and began to walk toward An Xiaohai and Peng Yuangui. Once he helped them up, it would completely break any unspoken agreement between the prisoners and the guards, making things difficult for everyone in cell 27.
“I’ll do it!” At this moment, a thin man in his forties stood up.
Suddenly, all the prisoners in cell 27 looked at him with disbelief. Even Gui Liu, who had been watching from the sidelines, furrowed his brow tightly.
