Chapter: 157 Dad
After leaving the space, Lin Weiwan put a luggage bag outside directly into the space. She looked at the time before going out.
Ye Jibai was still standing in the corridor waiting for Lin Weiwan. Seeing Lin Weiwan come out, she had changed his clothes and combed his hair back.
“They are very kind, don’t worry.” Ye Jibai could see that Lin Weiwan valued her family and felt a little uneasy.
Lin Weiwan handed the luggage bag in her hand to Ye Jibai, “This is a gift for your family.”
Ye Jibai took it. He found the wooden box inside when he came out of Dongsheng Village, but he didn’t ask Lin Weiwan.
I didn’t expect that the little girl had already prepared gifts for his family. Then the ones he prepared for Lin Weiwan… Forget it, let’s go with Lin Weiwan’s. The gift is small but the sentiment is heavy. Bringing it from Heilongjiang Province to Beijing City, his family will definitely like it.
After getting in the car, the car started and drove. Most of the roads on both sides were courtyards and bungalows.
Lin Weiwan has been floating for a hundred years and witnessed the tremendous changes in China’s economic development.
Now looking at this child who seems to be still in the cradle, Lin Weiwan looked at the scene outside the car with emotion.
“I’ll take you for a good stroll these few days. I just happened to have asked for leave.”
Seeing that Lin Weiwan was so curious about Jingshi, Ye Jibai said directly.
Hearing Ye Jibai’s words, Lin Weiwan retracted her gaze and looked at the man in front of her.
“Okay.”
The car turned left and right and stopped outside a gate. The guard at the gate opened the door and the car continued to drive into the yard.
The flat asphalt road was lined with big trees and green plants. In the season of April, the grass and trees sprouted and revealed vitality everywhere.
The car stopped in front of a courtyard with a two-story building. Ye Jibai got out of the car, and Lin Weiwan followed him out. Since Lin Weiwan left her luggage at the guesthouse, Ye Jibai carried his own bag of luggage and Lin Weiwan’s bag of gifts and took Lin Weiwan into the house.
Lin Weiwan glanced at her watch. It was more than seven o’clock when she got off the car. After a short delay at the guesthouse, it was already nine o’clock.
The two-story building is larger than Lin Weiwan’s villa in Haishi.
The room was decorated in a grand manner. Although it was all old-fashioned solid wood furniture and sofas, it was clean and tidy.
With the white cloth with hook flowers, the whole room looked much warmer.
“Second brother, you are back.”
A charming figure rushed to the entrance from inside.
Lin Weiwan only then noticed that there was a little girl in front of him who was sweet-looking and lively, and looked about fourteen or fifteen years old.
A pair of big eyes looked at Ye Jibai with a smile.
“Did you bring me a gift?” Ye Siyao stretched out her white little hand and looked at Ye Jibai.
“You are still making trouble at this age, why don’t you call someone.” Ye Jibai frowned and scolded softly, but his tone was not harsh.
Ye Siyao pouted and snorted softly, looking at Lin Weiwan, “Hello, sister.”
Lin Weiwan smiled and nodded, “Hello.”
“You are back, come in quickly, don’t stand at the door.” Ye’s mother came down from upstairs and saw Ye Jibai and Lin Weiwan standing at the door.
Suddenly, a boy of four or five years old ran out from the back room and got into Ye Jibai’s arms like the wind.
Ye Jibai also subconsciously caught the boy and held him in his arms.
A pair of small hands tightly hugged Ye Jibai’s neck, and the round head was pressed against Ye Jibai’s face.
She looked at Ye Jibai and said in a baby voice, “Dad, I miss you so much.”
Lin Weiwan was petrified, standing at the door, neither going forward nor backward.
A young woman slowly came down the stairs, wearing a light blue shirt and a beige long skirt.
Her black hair was tied to one side and tied into a braid with a hair tie of the same color as the shirt.
“Jibai, you are back, the stars will come down soon, your father must be tired after just coming back.”
Shen Zhu said as she walked over, with narrow eyes and long eyelashes.
“Sister-in-law.”
Lin Weiwan also greeted Shen Zhu with Ye Jibai.
Ye’s mother looked at Lin Weiwan with a smile, and reached out to pull Lin Weiwan’s hand, “I have wanted to see you for a long time, let me take a good look at you.”
“Hello, auntie.” Lin Weiwan looked at the beautiful woman in front of her who seemed to be only about 40 years old.
Ye Mu looked really young. According to Ye Jibai’s age, Ye Mu in front of him should be at least fifty years old, but she looked much younger than her actual age with her fair skin and beautiful appearance.
“Okay, come in and sit down.” Bai Chunyi happily pulled Lin Weiwan.
“Come in, what are you all standing at the door for.”
Ye Mu wore a simple white shirt with black pants, and her hair was tied up at the back of her head and covered with a black hairnet.
Lin Weiwan was a little embarrassed, because she was wearing the same clothes as Ye Mu.
As for the scene at the door just now, Lin Weiwan naturally remembered it in her heart, but now was not the time to get angry.
“Mother Chen, bring the fruit up, Si Yao, go and get some water for your second brother and sister Xiaowan.”
Ye Mu looked at this future daughter-in-law with joy. The iron tree of her second son finally blossomed.
If the second son had not had a mission, she would have gone to see this future daughter-in-law a long time ago.
Shen Zhu followed him to the living room, “I’ll go help Aunt Chen.”
“Sister Xiaowan, I heard that you used to farm in the countryside. It must have been very hard.”
Ye Siyao came over with a tea tray, half squatted in front of the coffee table and placed water cups in front of everyone.
“How can it be said that it is hard to respond to the call of the great man and go to the grassroots, to dedicate your youth and blood in that vast world? It is sweet.”
Lin Weiwan looked at this little girl who was a few years younger than herself, who was now naively leaning against Ye’s mother.
“Well said.” A pair of elderly people with completely white hair stood at the door.
Ye Jibai stood beside Lin Weiwan, “This is my grandpa and grandma.”
“Hello, Grandpa Ye and Grandma Ye.” Lin Weiwan followed and greeted them.
Fortunately, the living room is large, and the whole family doesn’t feel crowded when sitting together.
“Your uncle will be back in the evening. He must be tired on the way.
Aunt Chen’s cooking skills are good. Let her make two special dishes for lunch later.”
“Xiaowan, have some fruit.”
Shen Zhu put the fruit plate on the coffee table in front of Lin Weiwan.
“Sister Xiaowan, have this. It’s my favorite.” Ye Siyao said as he took a whole star fruit and handed it to Lin Weiwan.
Lin Weiwan looked at the fruit plate and saw that there were only two star fruits. Ye Siyao handed her a big one.
She smiled and took the star fruit as big as her palm and handed it to Ye Jibai.
“Let’s share the delicious food. Go cut the star fruit so that everyone can have a little.”
“My bag.”
Lin Weiwan looked at Ye Jibai. Ye Jibai took the star fruit with one hand and handed it to Chen Ma. With the other hand, he took out the luggage bag that Lin Weiwan had put the gift in.
“It’s my first visit, so I brought some specialties from the Northeast for my grandparents.”
Lin Weiwan put the bag in front of her and prepared to open it.
“Xiaowan is really thoughtful.” Shen Zhu sat beside her holding the child and looked at Lin Weiwan tenderly.
“It’s nothing special, just some hazelnuts and pine nuts I picked in the mountains in autumn.”
