Chapter 48: Chen Dasheng
Zhao Chunhua realized that she had been taken advantage of by the girl in front of her. She felt that she had lived in vain for decades, and she had never calculated a girl who had not yet retired.
“Keep this kindness to yourself. I know who you are. I am familiar with you, so you introduce me to someone. You really use yourself as a token of authority. Do you deserve it?”
Lin Weiwan looked at Zhao Chunhua like a clown.
“You little bitch, you don’t know how to appreciate kindness and you still curse people. Zhao Di, come on, tear this little bitch apart.”
Zhao Chunhua has been rampant for so many years, and now she has lost face in front of so many people. She directly dragged her daughter to rush towards Lin Weiwan.
Lin Weiwan raised her feet and kicked the mother and daughter away as soon as they rushed over.
Chen Dasheng heard that there was going to be a fight behind him and quickly stopped the oxcart.
When he looked back, Zhao Chunhua and her daughter had already fallen in the ditch of the field.
“I said that you educated youth are not easy to take care of, and you dare to fight.”
Chen Dasheng cursed and wanted to run to the ridge of the field to see the two people falling.
“Oh… you little bitch, vixen, you dare to hit people, I will not let Lao Li send you back when I go back.”
Zhao Chunhua climbed up from the ridge of the field, with a few weeds on her head, and started to curse.
“Don’t make a scene here, go back now and tell whoever you want to find, you can’t find it by yourself, and our Youth Office is not closed.
I also want to see what the crime is of forcing the educated youth who went to the countryside to marry in exchange for matchmaker fees and persecuting the children of martyrs to marry blindly.
Can you deceive them with your fake kindness, or you will go to squat on the fence when the time comes.”
Lin Weiwan stood on the ox cart and finished calmly. “Uncle Chen, just take us to the Youth Office in the city. I also want to report to the leader why the educated youth who went to the countryside have to be introduced to a partner by a kind matchmaker, and it won’t work without an introduction. I am young and ignorant, so I will ask more.”
After speaking, he sat back in Du Shanshan’s seat. It seems that he has nothing to do.
Zhao Chunhua was frightened by Lin Weiwan’s words. It was easier to deal with ordinary educated youth in the village. It was the first time she heard of the children of martyrs.
Didn’t the children of martyrs have to go to the countryside? She couldn’t figure it out, but
she was too embarrassed to give in. “You little bitch, just wait for me.” After saying that, she didn’t want to go to the city anymore, and took Li Zhaodi back to the village.
Chen Dasheng sighed and drove the ox cart to the city.
Zhou Rongrong was the happiest to see Lin Weiwan in trouble.
After the incident with Zhao Chunhua in the car, the three aunts temporarily stopped thinking about it and didn’t mention the introduction of a date. They thought about going back to find out about the new educated youth.
After two hours, the ox cart arrived at the post office and several people got off.
Chen Dasheng called Lin Weiwan, “Lin girl, are you going to the Youth Office?”
Lin Weiwan looked at the middle-aged man in front of her, her lips curved, “Uncle Chen, I just want to scare that aunt. I believe that the village chief and the team leader will handle these things. I came to Dongsheng Village and became a member of the village. We share honor and disgrace. I can’t bring shame to our village, right?”
Lin Weiwan smiled at Chen Dasheng, who had been frowning all the time.
“Okay, the Youth Lin is still very righteous. I will explain this matter to the village chief and the team leader when I go back.
This Zhao Chunhua is the wife of the village accountant. She is very narrow-minded. Stay away from her next time you see her.
Go buy things while the weather is good. Uncle will wait for you here. By the way, today is the 26th market day, just behind the state-owned restaurant. There should be some things now. Go and have a look.”
Chen Dasheng didn’t expect that this Youth Lin seemed to be fierce, but was very reasonable and took the overall situation into consideration. He finally put down his heart.
Otherwise, it would be troublesome for me to go back. It’s all Zhao Chunhua’s fault. She’s looking for trouble and hit a wall.
Lin Weiwan nodded and looked back at Chen Dasheng. “Thank you, Uncle Chen. This is your lunch. I’ll be back in the afternoon.”
Then he took out three pieces of sugar-coated steamed buns wrapped in newspaper from his bulging shoulder bag.
He made them when he was in Haishi, and now they are just in need.
“Take them back. I’ll bring some dry food.” Chen Dasheng pushed the things back. The expenses of the educated youth are scary. After half a year, they have to tighten their belts to live.
“Uncle, I still have food in my bag. This is the steamed bun I made before going to the countryside. You can try it.” Lin Weiwan stuffed the paper bag into Chen Dasheng’s arms and ran away.
Du Shanshan got off the ox cart and separated from Lin Weiwan directly to find the black market.
Lin Weiwan couldn’t get along with the others, so they went their separate ways.
As for giving Chen Dasheng something, three brown sugar steamed buns were just right. It didn’t seem to be trying to please him, but he could make friends with him.
After Chen Dasheng left, he called her to ask about this matter. Lin Weiwan guessed that this person cared whether she would sue Zhao Chunhua.
Normally, people in the village would just watch the fun when something happened. Since Chen Dasheng cared about it, it proved that he had a relationship with the village leaders.
Lin Weiwan didn’t want this to happen. She didn’t plan to make a fuss to the Youth League Office. Her parents’ martyr certificates were two amulets. What’s more, Lin Weiwan had four.
As long as she didn’t kill or set fire, basically nothing would happen. Now she bought a good one for Chen Dasheng. This line would be useful in the village sooner or later.
After entering the post office, Lin Weiwan was sure that the two packages had arrived long ago, and she planned to get on the bus in the afternoon to pick them up.
She walked towards the state-owned restaurant and arrived at the market. As expected, there were a lot of people.
The market in the countryside is not open every day, and there are restrictions on what is sold.
The market is only held on the first, sixth, sixteenth, twenty-first, and twenty-sixth day of the lunar calendar.
The most common items were farm tools, daily necessities woven from mulberry strips, sweet potato combs, winnowing baskets, bamboo baskets, kang mats, some vegetables from one’s own vegetable garden, and poultry such as chickens, ducks, and geese that one raised.
However, if the quantity of these items was small, they would need to be stamped by the production team and issued a certificate of self-production and self-sale before they could be sold.
Grain, peanuts, pork, and some precious side dishes were not seen at the market and were not allowed to be resold.
Some poultry were basically rare goods at the market and were in short supply. Occasionally, there were a few inspectors at the market, walking back and forth.
After buying a new bamboo basket to carry on his back, Lin Weiwan also bought a small sweet potato comb for sweeping the kang, a winnowing basket, two vegetable baskets, and a pair of chopsticks that could just cover the bamboo basket.
Six items cost only three yuan and fifty cents, and he bought four bundles of hemp rope along the way before leaving.
As for chickens and ducks, Lin Weiwan didn’t find any, not even an egg.
After leaving the market, he went straight to the bookstore in the city, ready to buy all the books from elementary school to middle school.
Coming out of the bookstore, Lin Wei’s bamboo basket was already full of books and some exercise books.
It was heavy, so he quickly found a place with few people and confirmed that no one had put it into the space.
He walked towards the supply and marketing cooperative with the bamboo basket on his back, ready to see if there were any items in the supply and marketing cooperative that were the same as the items in the space and could be taken out and used.
