Chapter 63
Yao Yao had a restless night.
Aside from her arm, her entire body ached terribly.
For the first time, she gave up on her usual morning run.
“Yao Yao, are you feeling unwell?”
Even Zhang Qiufeng noticed something was off.
“No, I just figured since I have to go out and work later anyway, I might as well skip the workout.”
Although the old lady didn’t ask directly, Yao Yao took the initiative to explain.
“But you don’t look too good.”
As she spoke, Zhang Qiufeng reached out to feel her forehead, checking if she had a fever.
However, Yao Yao instinctively dodged away.
“Mom, aren’t you cooking? I think I smell something burning.”
“Oh no, I forgot!”
Zhang Qiufeng slapped her thigh and rushed out of the room.
Yao Yao endured the pain as she got out of bed, feeling a bit dizzy.
She quickly finished breakfast and hurried out.
“Isn’t that the fatty?”
As Yao Yao walked ahead, Wang Lanlan and Liu Xiangxiang followed behind her with their schoolbags, whispering.
If it were before, they would have already run up to give her trouble. But after Yao Yao had beaten Wang Guihua so badly the other day, they were a bit apprehensive.
“Has she lost weight?”
Liu Xiangxiang stared at Yao Yao’s back. Though she still looked clumsy, she seemed slightly slimmer than before.
“Are you blind? She’s still a fat pig.”
Wang Lanlan had been beaten by Yao Yao before as well and held deep resentment toward her.
“Come on, let’s follow her.”
Twenty minutes later, Liu Xiangxiang and Wang Lanlan were stunned as they watched Yao Yao walk through the gates of Dong University.
This was definitely not a place for a fatty like her.
“Xiangxiang, isn’t your cousin a student here?”
A glint flashed in Wang Lanlan’s eyes. Though they weren’t qualified to enter this prestigious school, that didn’t mean they couldn’t find a way to target Yao Yao.
“Yeah, why?”

As Yao Yao worked, she shivered.
Using only her left hand made things difficult, and her physical discomfort left her breathless.
She was supposed to finish her work in an hour, but she hadn’t even completed half of it.
She was definitely running a fever. She thought about buying some medicine after she finished.
But soon, she realized she had overestimated herself—her body felt weak and powerless. She had no choice but to lean against the sink for support.
She only wanted to rest for a moment, but unexpectedly, she passed out.

“Xiaoying, what do you want for lunch? My treat.”
After finishing his work, Zheng Lu checked the time and walked over to Huang Ying’s desk.
“Sure! Let’s invite Cheng-ge too!”
Huang Ying immediately thought of Li Cheng.
Zheng Lu rolled his eyes. This girl never forgot about that guy.
“Alright, I’ll go call him.”
Huang Ying watched as he walked toward the chief editor’s office, unable to hide her excitement.
But soon, Zheng Lu returned alone.
“Li Cheng isn’t in his office.”
“He’s not? I didn’t see him leave.”
The smile on Huang Ying’s face instantly disappeared, replaced by disappointment.
It was already lunchtime—where had he gone?
“He’s a busy man. I left him a note. If he comes back, he’ll join us. Let’s go eat first.”
Zheng Lu spoke while helpfully picking up her bag.
Huang Ying had wanted to wait for Li Cheng, but in the end, she nodded and agreed.
