Chapter 84
Ye Yao was “greatly surprised,” “I really hadn’t thought about it. Is it possible? It seems there’s nothing wrong with it. In that case, I can go look for a shop.”
She murmured to herself, clearly pleased by the reminder.
Cai Qingyuan quickly spoke up, not wanting to end up being the one who made her a “matchmaker” for someone else.
“You can come to our shop. If you don’t mind, I could take you as my apprentice.”
If there were other people around, they would surely be stunned.
Cai Qingyuan was one of the top masters in the city, and many had tried to become his apprentice but were turned down with the excuse that he didn’t take in students.
Now, he was actually offering to take Ye Yao as his apprentice.
It wasn’t just because of the two blueprints, but because he genuinely recognized her potential and sensitivity to design.
The room grew quiet again.
Cai Qingyuan had expected Ye Yao to be thrilled to accept, as such an opportunity was rare, but to his surprise, she seemed to hesitate.
“Or, do you need to discuss it with the elders at home?”
This was understandable; becoming an apprentice wasn’t a small matter.
Ye Yao shook her head, “Mr. Cai, I really appreciate your kindness, but I’m not planning to take on an apprenticeship at the moment.”
She didn’t think he was qualified to be her master.
Cai Qingyuan was clearly stunned, his face showing discomfort.
Didn’t she know about his “fame”?
“Mr. Cai, don’t be upset. The thing is, I’ve always been a free spirit and don’t want to be bound by anyone’s rules. However, I think we can approach this differently.”
Ye Yao knew that her rejection might make Cai Qingyuan uncomfortable, so she quickly broke the awkward silence.
“Let’s hear what you have in mind.”
Cai Qingyuan pretended to be calm.
“I know you’re concerned about something, Mr. Cai. Since you also agree with my development ideas, how about we become business partners instead?”
“I have the ability, and you have the financial backing. I can provide the blueprints, and you handle the operations. Let’s create this brand together. What do you think?”
This was what Ye Yao truly wanted—an equal partnership, not just being used by someone else.
Cai Qingyuan was taken aback, not expecting her to think this way.
Cooperate with her?
“Mr. Cai, don’t worry, I’m not trying to take advantage of you. Our cooperation will only concern the creative aspects of the brand. As for the revenue from your shop, I won’t take a single penny.”
Ye Yao added.
But she believed that before long, this shop would develop according to her model, and by then, Cai Qingyuan would see the potential she had outlined and wouldn’t care about the “small profits.”
Finally, Cai Qingyuan responded, “This is a big decision. Give me two days, and I’ll give you an answer.”
Ye Yao wasn’t in a hurry and nodded directly.
“Ye Yao, whether we succeed in this cooperation or not, I still want you to leave me your design.”
Cai Qingyuan reminded her once again.
“Of course.”
Ye Yao walked out of the clothing shop and stretched.
Although she hadn’t received the answer she had hoped for today, she was still confident in her plans.
If Cai Qingyuan didn’t have the courage to follow through, then he wasn’t the right person she was looking for.

“Police officer, I’m here to report a crime.”
Half an hour later, Ye Yao arrived at the police station and took two sketches out of her pocket.
“Three days ago, I went out for a morning workout, and I ran into two robbers. These are them.”
Although three days had passed, she hadn’t forgotten about these two.
