Chapter 7

In the girls’ dormitory of Hangzhou Normal University, Yu Shiying and Hu Shudan were at loggerheads.

“By reading my diary, you not only violated my privacy but also spread rumors and caused trouble. Believe it or not, I will call the police and put you in jail!”

Yu Shiying was furious. This little girl Hu Shudan bullied the original owner so much and even dared to go to the teacher to complain first. Today, she would settle both the old and new accounts together.

“Hmph, stop lying to me. I’ve never heard of getting arrested for looking at something.” Hu Shudan was not afraid. If she really would go to jail, why did Yu Shiying let her do whatever she wanted like a quail?

Yu Shiying knew that the laws in 1990 were not so perfect, and violating privacy rights and spreading rumors should not be criminalized.

When Hu Shudan heard Yu Shiying talking about Shi Yebin, she could no longer bear it. She was burning with anger like an enraged little beast.

“Yu Shiying, shut up!” She took a step forward, approaching Yu Shiying. “If you dare to talk nonsense again, I will tear your mouth apart!”

Hu Shudan took the opportunity to pounce on her, grabbed Yu Shiying’s hair tightly with both hands and pulled it down hard.

Yu Shiying quickly raised her right hand and grabbed Hu Shudan’s wrist fiercely, while her left hand pushed Hu Shudan’s shoulder fiercely.

Hu Shudan was pushed so hard that she knocked over the desk lamp, which made a loud “clang”. The lamp fell to the ground, the bulb shattered, and glass fragments were scattered all over the floor.

The roommate tried to intervene, but Hu Shudan pushed him away. She rushed towards Yu Shiying, raised her right hand, and slapped her in the face.

Yu Shiying was not willing to give in. She suddenly grabbed Hu Shudan’s collar and pulled hard, while raising her knee to push into Hu Shudan’s abdomen. Hu Shudan bent over in pain.

Yu Shiying took advantage of the situation and rode on her, slapping her left and right, and started to slap her face hard.

“Pa pa pa…” The crisp sound of slaps echoed in the dormitory, accompanied by Hu Shudan’s screams and curses.

Yu Shiying fought with great pleasure, and the pent-up anger in her heart seemed to have found an outlet.

She beat him and cursed him: “I told you not to be so mean! I told you not to talk nonsense! I told you not to peek at my diary! I told you not to threaten me!”

The dormitory manager rushed over after hearing the noise and was immediately furious when she saw the messy scene.

“What are you doing! What a disgrace! Go to the office!” the dormitory manager yelled, pointing at Yu Shiying and Hu Shudan.

Yu Shiying stopped, and several roommates quickly separated the two. Hu Shudan was stunned by Yu Shiying’s slap and was helped down the stairs by her roommates.

Yu Shiying touched her scratched neck and cursed in her heart: This damn woman is so cruel!

Looking at Hu Shudan being supported by his roommate, a sense of revenge surged in his heart.

Both of them had flying hair and disheveled clothes. There were several blood marks on Yu Shiying’s neck, and blood was oozing from the corners of Hu Shudan’s mouth.

Following the dorm manager to the office, Hu Shudan burst into tears, claiming Yu Shiying had hit her. Her roommates could all testify that Hu Shudan had been the first to strike. However, it appeared her injuries were more serious, as her face was swollen.

There was no other way, so the dormitory manager had to give each of them fifty lashes, and the two were severely scolded again.

Yu Shiying rubbed her hands, which were numb from the beating, and looked at Hu Shudan provocatively.

Hu Shudan was about to explode with rage, but the dorm supervisor had already said that if the two of them continued to cause trouble, they would be reported to the school. Hu Shudan had no choice but to give up for the time being:
