Chapter 4 – Liu Yiyi Is Forcibly Expelled
“Bitch! How dare you kick me! Do you even know who I am?”
Liu Yiyi struggled to get back on her feet, her gaze toward Chu Jiangyue laced with venom.
Chu Jiangyue stepped forward and kicked Liu Yiyi again. “See? I already kicked you—what’s the point of asking if I dare?”
Liu Yiyi felt as though her organs had been kicked out of place by the woman before her.
Knowing she was at a disadvantage now—what with the man-eating monsters roaming outside—and not wanting to be thrown out, Liu Yiyi chose silence. She curled up in a corner and said nothing.
But her eyes beneath her lashes were filled with poisonous hatred.
The little fox sensed that Chu Jiangyue was in a bad mood and carefully considered its words.
“Host, non-hotel guests can only stay inside for two hours within a twenty-four-hour period. Should I remind her?”
Hearing this, Chu Jiangyue raised an eyebrow.
“From the moment you walked through that door, the clock started ticking. In two hours you’ll be expelled. If you don’t want to be thrown out unprepared, I suggest you leave on your own.”
After all, she planned to run this place as a business in the future. She might as well maintain a professional standard of service.
She had already given the warning. Whether Liu Yiyi listened or not was her own problem.
Clearly, Liu Yiyi scoffed at Chu Jiangyue’s words and intended to stay.
She didn’t believe the other woman would truly throw her out while she was still here in person.
But Chu Jiangyue had no qualms. After giving the reminder, she walked into the hotel kitchen, opened the fridge, and began making herself breakfast.
The fridge was stocked with a variety of ingredients, both meat and vegetables.
That was something Chu Jiangyue appreciated about the hotel.
She cooked a single bowl of noodles—only enough for herself—with no intention of making any for Liu Yiyi.
From the moment Chu Jiangyue entered the kitchen, Liu Yiyi had been staring at her eagerly.
She had been on a light fast for several days to lose weight. Now, with Chu Jiangyue being generous with the ingredients, the fragrance of the noodles quickly filled the air.
When Chu Jiangyue came out carrying the noodles and sat at the dining table in the lobby to eat, Liu Yiyi finally couldn’t hold back.
“Hey! I want to eat too. Make me a bowl!”
Chu Jiangyue ignored her and continued eating.
Liu Yiyi was used to being willful. No matter what she did, her family always cleaned up after her.
When Chu Jiangyue continued to ignore her, she lost her temper. Regardless of her current situation, she stood up and tried to knock over Chu Jiangyue’s noodles.
Having survived three years in the apocalypse, Chu Jiangyue had long since engraved the value of food into her bones. The instant she realized Liu Yiyi intended to ruin her meal, her expression went cold. She lifted her leg and kicked again.
“Get lost!”
Liu Yiyi was sent flying against the wall once more. As she hit the ground, blood surged in her chest and she coughed up a mouthful, proof that Chu Jiangyue had used her full strength.
Kicked three times in succession, Liu Yiyi was now both fearful of Chu Jiangyue and full of hatred.
In her entire life, she had never been humiliated like this before. Her eyes burned with resentment, but she wasn’t Chu Jiangyue’s match. For now, she could only swallow her pride and endure.
But in her heart, she vowed: one day, Chu Jiangyue would pay for this!
“You told me not to kill her, but look—she’s dying to kill me instead.”
Chu Jiangyue grumbled to the little fox in her mind while eating.
The little fox felt guilty. It knew Chu Jiangyue was the one suffering in this situation.
But it was just a brand-new system and had no hidden stash to compensate its host.
Now it felt even guiltier—what to do?
Its nine tails swished about chaotically in distress.
Two hours passed—neither short nor long. Liu Yiyi had thought she could squat here and bide her time, but suddenly, she was ejected.
As the hotel’s power expelled her, Liu Yiyi’s face twisted with panic.
“Bitch! What did you do to me?”
“I told you already—you only get two hours here. Bye-bye!”
“I don’t want to go! I don’t want to leave! Save me! You—”
Before Liu Yiyi could finish, a beam of light from the hotel sent her outside.
“She won’t die, right?”
After all, she was supposed to be the malicious supporting character needed to push the plot along. It couldn’t be that easy for her to die, right?
“Don’t worry, Host. As long as her role in the plot hasn’t been fulfilled, she won’t die.”
Of course—that was assuming Chu Jiangyue didn’t interfere.
But the little fox didn’t dare say that part aloud.
Chu Jiangyue had only asked casually anyway. She didn’t care about Liu Yiyi’s fate.
Not long after Liu Yiyi was expelled, Cui Hao returned with Jiang Zhenzhen.
Cui Hao carried a large black backpack. After entering the hotel, he placed it on the counter and dumped its contents into the exchanger’s tray.
【Detected: Metal ingots ×20, jade ×10, diamonds ×20… Total exchange value: 2 gold coins, 50 silver coins, 60 copper coins. Confirm exchange? Press Yes to confirm, No to cancel.】
Seeing these items, Chu Jiangyue guessed Cui Hao must have found a jewelry store.
But when such a pile of valuables was converted into so little currency, Cui Hao’s face darkened.
Still, he knew he couldn’t fight the situation, so he agreed.
【Dear Mr. Cui Hao, congratulations on becoming the very first customer of Jianglin Hotel. Your 2 gold coins, 50 silver coins, and 60 copper coins have been credited. As a first-time deposit bonus, you receive an identity card. Please keep it safe.】
The items on the exchanger tray disappeared instantly, replaced by a silver card the size of a bank card.
“This is your identity card. From now on, all spending and activities in this hotel can be done by swiping this card.”
Cui Hao didn’t let Jiang Zhenzhen exchange anything. Instead, he pulled her along to the supply shelves and bought some steamed buns and bread, then promptly left with her.
From the moment she entered the hotel, Jiang Zhenzhen had looked at Chu Jiangyue with pleading eyes. But Chu Jiangyue ignored her completely.
This time, she would not fall for Jiang Zhenzhen’s tricks again.
