Chapter 23: The Xue Siblings Meet

Xue Pinggui learned from Wang Baochuan that his sister Xue Qi was living in the Wei Mansion. Wei Bao was a wolf in sheep’s clothing, and he couldn’t bear to leave his sister behind.

He had lingered outside the Wei Mansion for several days, but he couldn’t find a chance to see his sister. Finally, he couldn’t hold back any longer and disguised himself as a vegetable delivery man to sneak into the Wei Mansion.

He finally managed to reach Wei Bao’s courtyard and saw his sister and Xue Qi embracing, their actions intimate.

“Wei Bao!” He rushed forward to strike him. Wei Bao, being a warrior, naturally wouldn’t let himself be bullied.

Seeing that he was no match for Xue Pinggui, Wei Bao immediately called for help.

The servants of the mansion surrounded Xue Pinggui. Wei Bao drew his long sword, about to kill him, when Xue Qi reacted and rushed forward to protect Xue Pinggui.

“Wei Bao! Let my brother go! If you hurt him, I will never forgive you!”

“Xue Qi, how can you be with this beast? Don’t you know that our father’s death must be related to him!”

“Brother, you misunderstand Second Brother Wei. He’s not that kind of person. He saved me from the hands of the villains.” Xue Qi defended Wei Bao.

“Xue Pinggui, you little rascal, you’ve ruined my plans several times! I must kill you!” Wei Bao gripped the sword tightly. Xue Pinggui was held by the mansion’s guards, his hands bound, unable to resist.

“Second Brother Wei! Second Brother Wei!” Xue Qi knelt down, “Please, let my brother go. For our sake… for our sake, let my brother go.”

Seeing her crying uncontrollably, Wei Bao couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy.

He muttered Wang Baochuan’s name, but his mind was on Xue Qi, who had left with Xue Pinggui.

He stumbled out of the Wei Mansion and headed straight for the Prime Minister’s mansion.

He wanted to see Wang Baochuan, but before he could enter the inner courtyard, he was stopped by the guards. He cursed and shouted that these servants were blind, they dared to stop him!

“Are you trying to die? Don’t you recognize me?”

“Second Master Wei, please don’t be angry. Our Third Miss specifically instructed us not to let anyone in, let alone you, a man…”

“Get out! All of you, get out!” He was drunk and made a scene at the back gate.

Wei Hu and Wang Yincui heard the commotion and rushed back, “Are you all dead? Don’t you see that Second Master is drunk? Why don’t you help him to rest!”

Wei Bao was making a scene in the Prime Minister’s mansion. If this got to the Prime Minister’s ears, it would definitely cause another uproar.

“Wei Bao! Are you tired of living? You’re here making a fool of yourself!”

Wei Hu scolded him in a low voice.

Wang Yincui pointed at the guards and rolled her eyes, “He’s making a scene here, don’t you know to ask your mistress to come out and appease him?”

Wang Baochuan, who had been listening to the commotion in the inner courtyard for a while, finally appeared when she saw the couple rushing over.
