“Rebirth: The Full-Level Idol is a Little Sweet” Chapter 2

Chapter 2: From Movie Emperor to Mocked Rookie

The internet speed was fast, but the interface still didn’t show any information about the Tang Qu he knew.

Tang Qu’s hand paused on the keyboard. Did he no longer even have the right to exist?

The whitened knuckles revealed Tang Qu’s unsettled emotions.

After a few seconds of daze, Tang Qu suddenly felt a sharp pain in his head.

A flood of chaotic memories that didn’t belong to him surged into his mind.

It was as if Tang Qu had watched a short film.

A little boy, about four or five years old, living in an orphanage, playing alone under a tree.

“Xiao Qu!” A soft female voice broke the stillness of the scene.

The woman had a gentle appearance, her beautiful long hair tied into an elegant bun. She gracefully walked over to the boy.

Tang Qu noticed the boy’s fingers twitch slightly, as if instinctively resisting, but the boy didn’t act on it and instead complied with the woman.

The woman turned to the man beside her. “Dean, can I take him with me today?”

The man referred to as the Dean nodded.

The scene shifted. The boy in the picture now looked about thirteen or fourteen years old. Behind him was another boy, around the same age.

It was the same woman again. “Tang Qu, be considerate of your younger brother. Don’t fight with him over things.” Her voice was still gentle, but her attention had shifted to the younger boy.

Tang Qu watched as the toy in the little boy’s hand was snatched away.

The scene changed once more. Little Tang Qu had grown up and entered university. In his first year, he still received living expenses, but by his second year, the woman told him he was an adult now and had to take responsibility for his own life.

The memories seemed to end here.

So, he had truly been reborn into the body of a pitiful soul.

It seemed that a couple had adopted him, but shortly after, they had a child of their own, and he, being the non-biological child, was pushed aside. While this was somewhat understandable, the couple had gone too far.

Still, Tang Qu found it strange. This body was currently a second-year university student, so why would he have chosen to end his life?

Suddenly, an idea struck him. Tang Qu looked down at the laptop screen. Although there was no mention of Movie Emperor Tang Qu, there was a Tang Qu who was riddled with scandals.

Tang Qu clicked on the news. The article’s headline was bold and eye-catching: “Rookie Clings to Top Movie Emperor’s Fame, Get Out of the Entertainment Industry!”

The entire article was a tirade against Tang Qu, accusing him of imitating the Movie Emperor’s acting style and openly riding on his coattails.

Tang Qu was all too familiar with this kind of marketing article. Could it be that the original owner of this body was also an actor?

Tang Qu searched around and, piecing together bits of information, finally managed to gather some useful details.

The original owner was a second-year film student who had starred in a short film for a class assignment. Initially, it didn’t make much of a splash, but after some promotion, the short film gained some attention, and as the lead actor, he also received some recognition. What should have been a joyous occasion, however, ended up pushing Tang Qu into a deep abyss.

Tang Qu watched the short film and frowned as he finished it. The lead actor’s performance was commendable. For a second-year student, such a level of skill was already impressive. But as a long-established Movie Emperor, Tang Qu immediately spotted the problem—he was imitating someone else.

In the entertainment industry, the most taboo thing is to imitate others, which not only annoys people but also hinders one’s own development. It’s not uncommon to have similar performance habits, but Tang Qu’s performance in the short video was not just similar—it was outright imitation.

Tang Qu frowned. Although he also despised such imitative behavior, a student, not a professional actor, shouldn’t be judged too harshly. So why did Tang Qu attract such intense dislike?

Soon, amidst the barrage of criticism, Tang Qu identified the key figure: Guan Yan!
