Bo Xingye stared at Gu Su’s slightly bulging cheeks because of dissatisfaction, and subconsciously he stretched out his to ruffle the small head, but just before making contact with Gu Su’s feverish skin, he abruptly halted and clenched his hand into a fist.
“Stay home and rest properly. If you need anything, find the housekeeper.”
After saying those words, Bo Xingye turned around and walked away, his departing figure exuding an unmistakable sense of fleeing.
For Bo Xingye, Gu Su is like a delicate and fragile piece of porcelain, which should be hidden at home and carefully treasured. He regarded Susu as the god in his heart, and the slightest touch was blasphemy to him.
Bo Xingye had once dreamed of the two of them sitting down and getting along well. But now, as Gu Su began to change, the sudden panic and confusion made Bo Xingye strangely nostalgic,a sense of comfort in the way things used to be with Gu Su.
At least back then, he could maintain his composure. However, with the current version of Su Su, who was both delicate and temperamental, it only took an instant to completely shatter Bo Xingye’s once proud self-control.
Except from escaping, he couldn’t think of any solution for the time being.
“Eh?
Gu Su didn’t expect that his bold but clumsy attempts to take the initiative could actually drive someone away. Frowning and tilting his head in slight confusion, he felt puzzled. He genuinely wanted to comfort Brother Xingye and ease the tension between them…or so he thought.
Why does it look…worse than before?……
At this moment, An Su walked in, as if he had been standing outside the door for a long time,he walked up to Gu Su and said disapprovingly.:
“Susu, Mr. Bo’s work is already very busy. Miss Guo is just a little spoiled by her parents. You might not fully understand that feeling, but if you can, try to accommodate her more and don’t give Mr. Bo any trouble.”
“Do you know? We must be more considerate of Mr. Bo’s hard work.”
Due to his experience of losing his parents at a young age, Gu Su was extremely sensitive to these matters.
In his previous life, his current focus will definitely be on what An Su said about Guo Tianxuan being pampered by his parents, and might even have held a grudge against Brother Xingye for it.
Before, Gu Su cared because what he wanted most was family, the kind of life where he had parents who doted on him like Guo Tianxuan’s parents did.
In this second chance, Gu Su remained the same in many aspects, except that he had become mentally stronger. He saw things more clearly and comprehensively.
In his dark life, the appearance of Brother Xingye seemed like a beam of light that instantly illuminated his entire world, soothing all his anxieties and filling the void left by the absence of family.
For the current Gu Su, the significance of Brother Xingye’s presence was probably to make him feel that… life was worth living.
Moreover, Gu Su was well aware that they were both adults now. How could they not know that certain sensitive topics could upset each other?
Knowing this, if AnSu were to still bring up those topics, it would only serve to intentionally provoke him. Reluctantly, Gu Su raised his head and furrowed his brows.
“But Brother Xing said that my happiness is the most important…”
Before Gu Su finished speaking, he saw the housekeeper hurriedly walking down the stairs, still holding the document that Mr. Bo had brought back yesterday.
In the eyes of most people, An Su has always been gentle and sensible. Seeing the housekeeper in such a hurry, he took the initiative to ask out loud.
“Housekeeper, did something happen?”
After the housekeeper saw that it was An Su, she frowned slightly. As the housekeeper in this villa, the most important thing is to see who is the real owner and who is just a guest.
Although it seems that Gu Su and An Su are the same, Mr. Gu was the one who held the primary place in their master’s heart. If not for Mr. Gu’s reluctance, they would have addressed him as “Madam” by now.
The other one was just left by their master to make Mr. Gu happy, and it was clear which was less important and which was more important, the distinction between their significance was clear.
lthough the housekeeper didn’t really want to entangle
AnSu, he answered politely.
“Mr. Bo forgot to take these documents. He needs them for today’s meeting.”
“Then I’ll help you deliver them to Mr. Bo.
Just as An Su had spoken these considerate words, Gu Su reached out and snatched the file from the butler’s hand before he could react, huffing in annoyance,
“I’ll take it myself!”
“No need for you! Brother Xingye is still here, I’ll go and see him off myself.”
Gu Su was a little unhappy when he heard An Su’s words, like a cub, awkwardly and clumsily marking his territory, not allowing even the slightest intrusion from others.
In the previous life, perhaps his eyes were blind, so he didn’t realize it. Every time, Ansu would always block Xin Gege’s happiness for him.
But things were different in this life. Ansu’s longing for Xin Gege was practically overflowing from his eyes. He doesn’t want to give them any space to be together.
Brother Xingye belongs to him and can only belong to him alone! Possessiveness stems from love, and obviously, a certain little someone hasn’t fully understood this yet.
An Su remained motionless, a helpless smile in his eyes resembling that of a parent indulging a naughty and wayward child. However, his hand, clenched tightly by his side, revealed the tension within. The blue veins on the back of his hand pulsed noticeably, while his gaze lowered, veiling the simmering resentment in his eyes.
Obviously, from the beginning, they were about the same, yet somehow, inexplicably……. Gu Su had almost become the master of this villa, while he…was like his little sidekick, a servant tending to Gu Su’s needs in this huge mansion.
Coincidentally, the car hadn’t left yet, so Gu Su chased after it with the documents in his hand. When the driver saw it was Gu Su, he received a signal from Bo Xingye’s eyes and stopped the car, rolling down the window.
“Susu, what’s wrong?”
Gu Su casually opened the car door without any hesitation and handed the documents to Bo Xingye. It was only after receiving them that Bo Xingye realized how hurriedly he had left earlier, even forgetting to take an important contract for today’s meeting.
Most people find it difficult to remain calm in a panic situation, and even someone with terrifying self-control like Bo Xingye is no exception. His usual meticulousness and thoroughness in handling things were compromised, and being absent-minded became the norm
Bo Xingye noticed Gu Su’s appearance, slightly out of breath from running out,and his gaze, somewhat untimely, landed on the delicate collarbone exposed by his attire. Sun-kissed to a delicate shade of pink, it held a youthful and enchanting allure, quite… enticing.
He cleared his throat to disguise his peculiarity, crossing his legs, feigning an indifferent demeanor as if nothing was amiss, and casually said,
“Thank you.”
“Sure thing.”
After handing the documents to Brother Xingye, Gu Su immediately slipped into the car, sat down close to Bo Xingye. After realizing that he wasn’t angered because of his presumptuous behavior, he stretched out his hand and playfully tugged at the neatly tied necktie, slightly raising his head and muttering coquettishly.
“If you leave me alone at home, I will be very bored, and I will be very scared if you are not there…”
“So, take me with you…”
Gu Su didn’t want to stay home alone. He found Ansu annoying and grew impatient with his fake demeanor. In comparison, going out for a stroll with Brother Xing made him happier.
Most people believed that Ansu had a gentle personality and that it was comfortable to be around him, even if it was just an act. They would feel at ease in his company.
But Gu Su was different. In the previous life, he considered Ansu his trusted big brother, someone he could confide in without reservation, believing him to be the only elder he could truly trust.
However, in this life, since he found out that Ansu wanted to compete with him for Brother Xingye’s affection, Gu Su was good enough to restrain his little paws from scratching him. How could he peacefully coexist with him?
“Why do you want to come with me to the company?”
Bo Xingye raised an eyebrow inquisitively and asked. In reality, aside from that question, what he really wanted to ask was why Su Su suddenly wanted to follow him to the company? and for what purpose?
However, seeing Gu Su’s current playful demeanor, tugging at his necktie and pouting, he couldn’t bring himself to ask the question directly. Instead, he used a gentler approach to inquire
“You said you don’t want to stay home alone… you want to come with me……….?”
“Yes, I promise I will stay in your office obediently and won’t run around and you do your work!”
The early morning sunlight fell on the blooming petals in the garden. Bo Xingye stared at the dimple on Gu Su’s cheek for quite some time before gently nodding his head and replied in a hoarse voice,
“Good”
Whenever Gu Su,made a request, Bo Xingye found himself helpless and unable to utter a word of refusal.
Even though he knew deep down that Gu Su might have ulterior motives for doing so, Bo Xingye still agreed. If Gu Su truly had motives on him, it would be his honor. And if one day he found himself without even the one thing Gu Su sought from him, that would truly be a tragedy.
If this little one could be even more obedient than he currently was now, as long as he says his purpose, Bo Xingye even felt a certain impulse to offer his assistance without hesitation, would gladly hand it over at his request.
After Bo Xingye agreed, Gu Su scooted closer to him and realizing that he didn’t mean to refuse, he bit his lip. Finally summoning the courage, he moved and sat on Bo Xingye’s lap.
“Brother Xingye, you have to be nice to me, or I will sit at the door of your company begging with a small broken bowl!””
The childish threats spoken with a pretend fierceness held no ounce of intimidation. On the contrary, they were somewhat amusing, instantly melting the hearts of those who heard them.
“No need for that. As long as you want it, everything I have is yours.”
Bo Xingye gently parted his thin lips and spoke these words, causing Gu Su to freeze in place. After a low, hesitant response, Gu Su turned his head to look outside the car window at the familiar yet unfamiliar scenery. His eyes unintentionally grew slightly teary.
For others, such words might be nothing more than empty promises spoken in the heat of the moment, easily said but carrying no weight.
But Gu Su knew. He understood that Xin Gege’s words were sincere. Everything he had experienced in the previous life made it clear to him. As long as he expressed a desire, Xin Gege would truly give him everything.
“Your everything… isn’t it all mine?”
Gu Su’s delicate eyebrows slightly furrowed, and he asked with a tone that carried a hint of unhappiness.
