Chapter 13: Take your things and get out of my ward
The man frowned when he saw that she didn’t reach out to him.
“Seeing that you can still stand, you shouldn’t be dying.”
What?
Did those words come out of his mouth?
She had thought this man was a bit handsome just now.
But now…
Such a good-looking person, why does he have such a mouth?
She took a deep breath and glared at the man fiercely.
“How can a mouth that’s 37 degrees Celsius say such heartless things?
You should be glad I didn’t die. If I had, I definitely wouldn’t have let you off.”
She snorted coldly, picked up her skirt, and looked down. A large area of her calf ankle was scraped, and it was burning with pain.
The man frowned even deeper after seeing it.
She was the first woman who dared to speak to him in such a tone.
If it were any other woman, they would have already clung to him, but she only seemed to pause slightly when she saw his face.
Did someone deliberately make her appear in front of him?
Or was it an accident?
“You’re injured. I’ll take you to the hospital first, so you don’t try to scam me later.”
Was he treating her like a scammer?
“No need, it’s just a minor injury. I wasn’t paying attention just now.”
In this day and age, there were very few cars on the street, and even the crossroads in small county towns didn’t have traffic lights, so she wasn’t paying attention.
It was already good enough that people didn’t curse at her.
She limped away, and the driver’s voice came from behind.
“I’m sorry, miss. I really didn’t mean to just now. Let me take you to the hospital.”
Jiang Mingyue turned her head and saw a young man with dyed yellow hair who wasn’t short.
The young man was also good-looking and tall, wearing a floral shirt on his upper body and flared jeans on his lower body. The floral shirt was tucked into his waist, making his legs look 1.3 meters long.
“Thank you, I’ll just go back and buy some mercurochrome to disinfect it.”
She took a step forward, and her calf throbbed with pain. She lost her balance and fell forward.
She grabbed wildly with both hands, but the expected pain didn’t come. Instead, the man reacted quickly and put his arm around her waist, standing stiffly in place. Her hand grabbed the suit on his chest.
The man glanced at her with disgust, and with a slight force on her waist, he pushed her away.
She panicked and almost fell forward again, but managed to steady herself.
The driver next to her couldn’t help but smile. The man gave him a cold look, and the young man immediately shut his mouth.
The man took out a business card from his chest pocket and handed it to her.
“It’s fine if you don’t go. If you feel unwell within three days, you can call this number. I’ll compensate you for medical expenses.
I won’t be responsible after three days.”
He forcefully stuffed the business card into her hand and got into the car without looking back.
The driver smiled politely at her and also got into the car.
She threw the flattened lunch box into the trash can, sat on the side of the road for a while, and stared blankly at the business card in her hand.
Dongcheng Building Materials Co., Ltd. – Zhan Hanxiao.
The surname was quite unique, and she remembered it immediately.
Okay, let her take it then, just in case something really happens within three days.
In the car, Zhan Hanxiao glanced through the rearview mirror at Jiang Mingyue, who wasn’t looking at him at all, and the corners of his lips unconsciously curved up.
Interesting.
“Check this woman’s identity.”
Could it be her?
“Understood, boss.”
Did the boss take a fancy to her?
Or is he worried that she was sent by an enemy?
In any case, it’s always better to be cautious.
Jiang Mingyue went to the hospital and spent two yuan to disinfect and bandage herself before walking back.
In the ward, Luo Mingzhong was absent-minded, and his right eyelid twitched uncontrollably.
If it were before, his grandmother would have forced him to apologize to Jiang Mingyue.
But not today.
This made him even more flustered.
The old lady didn’t blame him either, and didn’t say anything.
After a while, Wen Ning came to the hospital wearing a red dress and makeup.
She didn’t look like she was visiting a patient at all, but rather like she was trying to seduce someone.
Her eyes fell on Luo Mingzhong’s face, and she said softly, “Brother Luo, you’ve worked hard. Go back and rest. I’ll take care of Grandma here.”
Before Luo Mingzhong could speak, the old lady snorted coldly.
“Wen Ning, a widow’s door is full of gossip. Don’t you know how to avoid suspicion?
My grandson is blind, but this old lady isn’t.
You’re not an old fox of thousands of years. Your tricks and skills are just a clown in my eyes.
Take your things and get out of my ward, you unlucky thing.
Let me tell you, don’t even think about entering our Luo family’s door, even if they get divorced.”
Wen Ning didn’t care what the old lady said at all.
Hmph, you old hag, you have one foot in the grave. What can you do to me?
All the men in the world are the same. Luo Mingzhong is a normal man, and her figure is fuller than that idiot Jiang Mingyue. As long as she beckons her fingers and lures him to bed, their marriage will be a matter of time.
Besides, does she care about Luo Mingzhong?
She cares about his future and salary.
As long as she has him in her hands, she and her son will enjoy endless wealth and glory in the future when Luo Mingzhong is promoted again.
She pouted aggrievedly and lowered her head, shedding tears as if she was pitiful.
“Grandma Luo, I really didn’t mean to. You have to believe me and Brother Luo.
Brother Luo is a good person. He treats me like a younger sister, and I treat him like family.
Grandma Luo, no matter how you scold me, in my heart you are my own grandma.”
The old lady had seen thick-skinned people, but she had never seen anyone as thick-skinned as her.
She was so angry that she grabbed the enamel cup on the head of the bed and threw it at Wen Ning. Luo Mingzhong reacted quickly and stood in front of her. The ceramic cup hit Luo Mingzhong’s chest and fell to the ground with a clatter.
Wen Ning smiled triumphantly, hugging Luo Mingzhong’s arm as if she was frightened, her chest intentionally or unintentionally rubbing against his arm.
Luo Mingzhong’s attention was on the old lady, and he didn’t feel it at all.
But this scene fell into the old lady’s eyes, and it looked particularly glaring.
Shameless thing, truly shameless.
“Get out, all of you get out.”
The old lady coughed violently in anger, and Luo Mingzhong quickly pushed Wen Ning out of the ward.
“Ningning, you should go back first. Grandma can’t take any more stimulation.”
Bang—
Luo Mingzhong closed the ward door and quickly patted the old lady’s back.
It took the old lady a long time to recover, and she suddenly felt that Jiang Mingyue was right to divorce.
She was an old bone, how many years could she live?
Wasn’t she just thinking that they could have a good life?
But this kid doesn’t understand anything.
Just wait and regret it later.
When Zhan Hanxiao arrived at the company, Fan Xiaojun flicked his three-seven-split bangs.
“Boss, do you think that girl deliberately crashed into our car to get close to you?”
Zhan Hanxiao glanced at him sideways, his eyes turning cold.
He was already noble in his black suit, and when his eyes turned cold, the aura around him became even more chilling.
“You’re the only one who knows about my news here. If she did it on purpose, then you leaked my whereabouts.”
The corners of Fan Xiaojun’s raised mouth stiffened.
“Boss, I didn’t.”
Zhan Hanxiao’s eyes fell on his yellow hair, and the more he looked at it, the more glaring it was, like a hooligan.
“I’ll give you half an hour to restore your hair to normal, or I’ll twist your head off and use it as a ball.”
Fan Xiaojun: Boss is so violent, I’d better slip away quickly.
