Qin Lin Awakened by Lightning
After stabilizing her cultivation, Ye Mo turned her attention to her six little ones, who were all deeply immersed in their training.
She asked the butler how they were doing. He told her that since she had started cultivating, the little ones had been diligently practicing as well. It seemed that her progress had motivated them. Although they weren’t in the vitality pool, they were seated cross-legged in the living room, seriously focused on their cultivation. Ye Mo could tell they were working hard.
Quietly, Ye Mo left the space she was in. The room she had been hiding in still showed no signs of anyone entering, and for now, it seemed safe.
She contacted Lan Feng and asked him if anything significant had happened during the past few days. Lan Feng immediately brought up the incident where Prince Caser was struck by lightning and fell into a coma.
Ye Mo was stunned upon hearing this. Prince Caser struck by lightning? Could it have something to do with her?
Using her spiritual sense, she scanned the entire ship and indeed found evidence of lightning strikes on the deck—so much so that part of the deck had been obliterated. Fortunately, that section wasn’t a critical part of the ship; otherwise, it might not have been able to continue flying.
Prince Caser was lucky—he survived such a powerful lightning strike?
But, was it really her tribulation lightning that caused this?
The tribulation she had faced shouldn’t have affected the outside world, right? After all, the lightning had been confined to the space she was in!
Ye Mo wasn’t sure. The timing of her tribulation coincided with Prince Caser being struck, and as much as she didn’t want to admit it, the tribulation she faced felt far too small as if it were tailor-made for her.
But why would a tribulation be specially crafted for her? She wasn’t favoured by the heavens. In fact, as a ghost cultivator, she defied the natural order. If anything, her tribulation should have been much more severe.
So, it seemed quite likely that Prince Caser had taken the brunt of it for her.
Ye Mo narrowed her eyes. Even though she now knew that Prince Caser was unconscious, she felt no guilt. After all, Qin Lin… to be precise, she had once been harmed by him as well.
So, to bear some tribulation lightning… he got off easy!
With Prince Caser no longer causing trouble, Ye Mo found herself enjoying more freedom over the next couple of days. She even ventured out into the ship’s main hall. With Prince Caser out of commission, his subordinates were too shaken to follow her around. The lightning strike had terrified them, and while no one spoke about it openly, they all privately believed that Prince Caser’s misfortune was divine retribution for his misdeeds.
Where this idea came from, no one knew, but it had taken root in everyone’s mind.
Even though she had more freedom, Ye Mo still kept a low profile, disguising herself a bit. After all, she didn’t know when that Caser might wake up.
As for whether Prince Caser would die, Ye Mo was pretty confident in the saying, “The wicked live the longest.”
And sure enough, just as Ye Mo expected, about five days later, Prince Caser woke up. But the person who woke wasn’t really Caser anymore—he was Qin Lin!
Qin Lin, now fully aware of Prince Caser’s lingering resentment, thought about the tension between himself and Ye Mo. All he felt was frustration! He had come to this world on a mission, after all. In the Dark Realm, people didn’t have legacies to pass down because they couldn’t reproduce.
When they had arrived in this interstellar world, both he and Mo Mo had come with one purpose: to produce heirs. And both he and Mo Mo were fated to be connected to Ye Mo.
Back when he’d brought Ye Mo to the world of cultivation and the mortal world, he hadn’t known about this connection. When he later learned about it from his elders, he didn’t resist. If it had been anyone else, he might have objected, but when it came to that little girl, he didn’t mind at all.
Now, reflecting on Prince Caser’s absurd behaviour, Qin Lin couldn’t help but feel both frustrated and embarrassed. Prince Caser had had too many women—something Ye Mo was surely aware of! She must be disgusted by it. Though Qin Lin hadn’t spent much time with Ye Mo, he knew her personality well enough.
One of the first things he did was to send all of Prince Caser’s former lovers packing. He had come to this world with one purpose: to continue his bloodline, and only Ye Mo could fulfill that role. No one else could bear his child.
Why? Likely because Ye Mo’s cultivation came from the same source as his own.
Qin Lin also knew that this interstellar world had been abandoned by the higher realms. No other woman in this world, except Ye Mo, could withstand the power in his body. Before his awakening, he could have been with any woman without issue, but now that he was fully awakened, touching any woman from this world would cause them to explode on the spot.
Qin Lin thought about Mo Mo’s situation. He had already fathered six children, but the six children Ye Mo had sold off weren’t real—they were just puppets. The true children Ye Mo had given birth to were still with her, likely kept in her space.
That little girl had been hiding a lot from him!
Qin Lin intensified his search for Ye Mo, becoming more and more frantic. His jealousy grew stronger, especially knowing that during his unconsciousness, Ye Mo had become Mo Mo’s wife. This was unbearable for him.
How could he have been just a step too late? If only he had woken up sooner, he wouldn’t have made such a mess. He would have gone straight to Ye Mo, and Mo Mo wouldn’t have stood a chance.
It might be too late now, but even though Ye Mo was already Mo Mo’s wife and had borne him six children, Qin Lin still wanted to see her. After all, he knew that his future children could only come from her.
Ye Mo had no idea about any of this. She thought her journey into this interstellar world was pure coincidence.
But she did hear about Prince Caser’s frenzied search for her, which made her hide even deeper.
With Prince Caser acting like a mad dog, Ye Mo didn’t know what he’d do if he found her!
Unable to locate Ye Mo, Qin Lin took his frustration out on everyone on the ship, particularly Lan Feng and his group, who were having an especially hard time.
Almost every day, Qin Lin would appear at their door, demanding to know where Ye Mo was. His relentless questioning was driving them to the brink of madness.
