Aunt Yu’s Matter 2

After Aunt Yu changed her wristwatch, she took a moment to calm herself. She transferred some data from her old wristwatch to the new one and immediately filed for divorce through the star network court. Aunt Yu had secretly taken intimate photos of her husband, Fang Da Wei, with another woman, and she submitted these as evidence. As the clear victim in the marriage, the court ruled in her favor without needing her husband’s consent.

Despite her lingering feelings for Fang Da Wei, Aunt Yu was heartbroken. His sudden infidelity, especially with a much younger woman, shattered her. After years of marriage, she couldn’t bear how quickly everything fell apart when a younger woman came into the picture.

Ye Mo and Grandma Yu kept a close eye on Aunt Yu, knowing how much she still cared for Fang Da Wei. Within two hours, the divorce decree was finalized—a testament to the speed of the interstellar era. Aunt Yu was awarded 3,000 of the 4,000 star coins in Fang Da Wei’s name, securing three-quarters of his assets as compensation.

When Fang Da Wei received the divorce papers, he was stunned. How had he suddenly been divorced? And why had he lost 3,000 coins? Seeing the intimate photos with the other woman shocked him further; he had no idea when Aunt Yu had managed to take those pictures. He had always been careful, avoiding public displays with his mistress, but the photos were clearly taken up close.

Unbeknownst to Fang Da Wei, his own mother had sent these photos to provoke Aunt Yu, never expecting Aunt Yu to use them as evidence against him. In this advanced interstellar era, much could be done through the network. Now, as the party at fault in his divorce, any future bride would have access to his past court records and his infidelity. This made him virtually unmarriageable, except to the woman in the photos.

Fang Da Wei was devastated. When had Yu Min Jia become so shrewd, so ruthless? After years of marriage, was this really the end? What he didn’t know was that Yu Min Jia had tried to give him a chance, but his suggestion—that they could raise the other woman’s child together—was the final straw. To her, it was clear: Fang Da Wei was drawn not by fertility, but by the allure of youth and beauty.

As for Fang Da Wei, he found himself increasingly frustrated. He had expected Aunt Yu to tolerate his indiscretions, perhaps even accept a coexistence with his mistress. After all, he had promised that once the other woman had a child, they could raise it together. What more did Aunt Yu want?

But now, he couldn’t even contact her. When he went to the Yu family’s home, he discovered that Grandma Yu had sold the house and moved away overnight. Even Yu Min Jia’s brother didn’t know where his mother had gone. To make matters worse, the sale of the house meant Grandma Yu had acquired a significant amount of star coins.

Both Yu Feng Qi and Fang Da Wei were desperate, frantically searching for Grandma Yu and her family. In the commoner district, 6,000 star coins was a small fortune.

Meanwhile, Ye Mo, her grandmother, and Aunt Yu were unaware of the chaos in the commoner district. Ye Mo transferred a million star coins to her grandmother and aunt, leaving them both stunned. Aunt Yu, determined to be independent, refused to accept the money and insisted on continuing to work.

Ye Mo reassured her, “Aunt, keep the money. Work if you want to, or stay home if you don’t. I can take care of you.”

Aunt Yu was deeply touched, though she still felt indebted to her niece. Over the past few days, she and Grandma Yu had been focusing on providing Ye Mo with better nutrition, buying ingredients from the wealthy district market to prepare meals with their chef robot.

One day, while at the market, Aunt Yu overheard some disturbing rumors:

“Where did that pregnant woman from our planet go? I hear people are looking everywhere for her!”

“Could it be human traffickers?”

“Not just them—wealthy families struggling with infertility are searching for her too.”

“Oh? How are they looking?”

“Haven’t you seen the star network announcements? There’s a 50,000 star coin reward for anyone who reveals her location. People in the commoner district are going crazy.”

Aunt Yu’s heart sank. She immediately realized the danger and rushed home without making any purchases, cleverly taking a roundabout route to avoid being recognized.

Once home, Aunt Yu quickly called Grandma Yu and the household butler, sharing the news she had overheard.

“What should we do? Ye Mo is being targeted now!” Aunt Yu exclaimed, visibly panicked.

Grandma Yu was equally alarmed, but the butler remained calm. “Madam Yu, Miss Yu, from now on, you should avoid going out unless absolutely necessary to avoid drawing attention.”

“But what about groceries?” Aunt Yu asked, still concerned about providing for Ye Mo.

“I will handle that. Don’t worry, Miss Yu will be well taken care of,” the butler assured, his loyalty and concern for Ye Mo evident despite being a robot.

Meanwhile, Ye Mo was completely unaware that she was now a wanted figure. She continued her daily routine, eating meals with her family before retreating to her private space to practice her cultivation. Knowing that her training wouldn’t affect her unborn child, Ye Mo spent much of her time on the Yin side of the Yin-Yang Pond.

Over the past two days, her cultivation had advanced rapidly, jumping from level 22 to level 29. With just two more levels to go, she would reach level 31 and ascend to the realm of a Ghost Warrior.
