The Entire Planet Life is Submerged
Ye Mo had always believed that the elf tree seeds were special, so she stood at the edge of the tree canopy, observing the situation below.
The elf tree stood firm, so there was no immediate concern about the canopy collapsing. She glanced at the flooded area beneath them and wondered, “I can’t rule out this possibility! But what should we do now? Have the waters flooded the wormhole?”
Everyone turned to look toward the location of the wormhole, but there was nothing to see—all around them was just water. The entire area was submerged, and the previously constructed buildings had completely disappeared beneath the water.
“I’ll go check!” A Star Warrior pulled out his aircraft and prepared to fly, but to his surprise, something unexpected happened. The aircraft seemed to malfunction, shaking as it rose only a meter into the air before wobbling and falling back down.
“The aircraft isn’t working!”
Zheng Yize sighed. “The magnetic field here must have intensified.”
Everyone looked in the direction of the wormhole with frustration. Would they even be able to use it anymore?
Ye Mo sent a report of the Planet Life’s condition to Mo Mo, and without hesitation, she flew off. “I’ll go check it out!” she said. She could fly without a device, which saved her from the hassle of dealing with the magnetic field that didn’t affect her at all.
Shortly after she left, a Star Warrior looked at everyone and called out, “I forgot to turn off my livestream! Everything we just went through, and everything we said, has already been broadcast.”
Soon, the entire star network was buzzing with discussion.
“What did we just witness?”
“The Madam flew off!”
“Without a flying machine!”
“What’s going on? Why do I feel like I’m in a daze?”
“Oh man, that wave was massive! It made my heart skip a beat.”
“Same here!”
“Didn’t you see how the tree canopy grew?”
“I saw it! I wasn’t watching the researchers extract the life water—I was watching the Madam build the tree canopy in the back.” Then the general’s wife flew away, just like a fairy.
Some people couldn’t help but wonder, could the general’s wife actually be a fairy?
“Yeah, I saw the tree canopy too!”
“Unless you’re blind, everyone saw them all climb onto the canopy, right?” Anyone who watched the live stream had witnessed the whole event.
“I still don’t understand how that canopy grew so quickly.”
“I feel like they’re really lucky. The moment the Madam built the canopy, the big wave hit. I have a feeling that those tree seeds really do have some kind of spirit.”
“I heard those are elf tree seeds. Elves! I’ve heard that elves can summon wind and rain, and they have wings. So it’s no surprise the seeds would be extraordinary.”
“Yeah, I’ve heard that the elf race can use magic. Maybe the seeds are formed through some kind of magic as well.”
“I actually think the Madam might be an elf herself—she can fly, and maybe she can use magic too since she built that tree canopy.”
“The Madam said she didn’t know anything!”
“Could she just be pretending?”
“That’s quite possible!”
“I want those elf tree seeds! What should I do?”
“Wasn’t the Madam planning to plant them on the Planet Kamo?”
“Of course! If it weren’t for those people showing their nasty sides, the Planet Kamo would probably already have an elf tree estate.”
“I wonder what the people who bad-mouthed the Madam on Planet Kamo are thinking now?”
“They’re probably fuming with anger!”
“They might just die from frustration!”
“I think you’re right!”
“Hey, aren’t we getting off-topic? Is Planet Life completely flooded now? If the wormhole is submerged, how will the Madam and the others leave?”
“Why do I feel like Pet Baby Net could open up an online teleportation service? Am I the only one thinking this?”
“Yeah, where’s the owner of Pet Baby Net? Where did they get the technology to teleport pets? Shouldn’t they develop it further so we can all teleport someday?”
“Look, the Madam is flying back!”
Ye Mo flew back with a grim expression. After observing the situation, she realized that the entire Life Star was now without any land at all. This puzzled her because earlier, the water only covered just over half of the planet. How had it managed to cover the entire thing?
“Madam, what’s the situation?”
“Madam!” Everyone looked at Ye Mo with concern.
“The wormhole is completely submerged. I contacted the General just now, and he said we should stay here for now. He’ll come to get us.” Ye Mo wasn’t worried. She could teleport back to Mo using his locator, but it didn’t seem right to leave everyone behind.
With the magnetic field in chaos, aircrafts, military ships, and boats were all useless here.
The only way to leave might be to use her spaceship.
But, wouldn’t it be strange for everyone to know that her simple spaceship can fly?
Ye Mo looked around. There were over thirty people present, some from District 7 and others from District 8. Everyone was looking at her with hopeful eyes.
“Don’t worry,” Ye Mo reassured them. “The General said we should wait here, and he’ll be here soon.”
Soon? Was that even possible?
Everyone was doubtful. But just then, someone suddenly appeared beside Ye Mo, making everyone rub their eyes. It was Mo Mo, standing right next to the Madam.
“The General arrived so fast!”
“Madam’s summoning power is truly amazing!”
The netizens watching the live stream were stunned. “What kind of technique is this?”
“How do they always seem to instantly return to each other’s side?”
“It’s obvious they have some sort of connection. But what technique allows them to do this?”
“I don’t know what it is, but I do know that if the General has this advanced technology, why isn’t he sharing it? Is it some secret weapon for surprise victories?”
“If the technology is so advanced, why share it with others? It’s better to use it for yourself. The General isn’t stupid. A lot of people want to take him down, so this technology will help protect him.”
“This reminds me of what happened on the Planet Blue Sky. Could it be that the General and the Madam really visited the Planet Blue Sky?”
“Is that even possible?”
“Why not?”
If Ye Mo had heard their conversation, she would have laughed and told them, “You’re getting way off track!”
At that moment, Mo Mo looked at his wife with concern. “Are you alright?”
“I’m fine. But how do we get everyone out of here?” Ye Mo gestured toward the tree canopy. “Thank goodness the elf tree seeds grew into this canopy. Without it, we wouldn’t even have a place to stand now that the entire planet is flooded.”
“It’s that serious?” Mo Mo frowned. With such harsh conditions, how would they continue extracting life water in the future?
