Becoming a Little Master
Yuan Lili sighed, finally accepting reality. The gap between her and Ye Mo had become a chasm, a difference as vast as heaven and earth. No matter how unwilling they felt, they had to face the truth.
“He’er, what’s the point of feeling so upset? We don’t even have a chance to cross paths with Ye Mo anymore,” Yuan Lili said, shaking her head. It was the simple truth.
Moreover, the child they were raising was deeply influenced by their tempers. Whenever either of them got upset, the child would cry and fuss. So, for the child’s sake, they had to curb their tempers.
“He’er, our moods affect the baby, so we have to keep calm, at least for his sake, right?” Yuan Lili reached out to pat Yu He’s head, but Yu He dodged her touch.
Yu He huffed, “If only I had enough star coins, I could just buy another child.” The constant fussing of the baby had worn her patience thin.
Yuan Lili narrowed her eyes slightly. “We might not be able to buy a child, but we could always swap him with another.” They couldn’t afford to buy a child but if they wanted to exchange a child, it should be easy to do so.
“Swap the child?” Yu He considered the idea. She had seen the child of another one of Prince Caser’s women, who didn’t seem as robust as hers. If it came down to it, she wouldn’t be keen on trading her child away.
“To be honest, I’ve grown attached. Couldn’t you be a bit less temperamental?” Yuan Lili grumbled. Truthfully, she had sacrificed so much to care for the baby that she was even more reluctant than Yu He to let go.
Yu He sighed, “Forget it, let’s not swap for now.” Even if they swapped, it wouldn’t guarantee a compliant child. The new baby might create issues that would reach Prince Caser, and he could end up taking the child away and kicking her out.
Living here was too comfortable. With so many servants attending to her needs, Yu He’s mind often wandered.
Besides, Prince Kase’s other woman had a daughter. Yu He had no interest in raising a girl—she needed a son.
Yu He thought of Ye Mo’s six children on Elven Star. They were stunning. If she could somehow get one of Ye Mo’s kids, would that be enough to keep Prince Kase’s attention? After all, who wouldn’t want a child that beautiful?
Why? Why had she been so gullible, ending up with a troublesome child like this?
Yu He clearly remembered seeing Ye Mo on the spaceship. But how did she end up all the way on Planet Elf so quickly?
Why did this happen? It was beyond her understanding.
Ye Mo should have been dragged out into space by Zhang Yuming, never to be found again. How did she make it to Planet Elf?
Why did that Mo Mo pamper her so much? Why? Meanwhile, Yu He couldn’t even get a glimpse of Prince Caser’s face.
Since returning to the main planet, Prince Caser had never set foot on Planet Blue Sky again. Had he forgotten about the women he brought back from District Eight?
Yu He furrowed her brows. Why had she trusted that Zhang Yuming would get rid of Ye Mo? If Ye Mo were that easy to kill, she wouldn’t be the cause of Yu He’s current frustration.
Yu He was furious but powerless. Ye Mo had risen to a level where Yu He’s schemes couldn’t touch her.
“That old woman is useless! She can’t even create a little trouble for Ye Mo. What a waste!” Yu He muttered, cursing Granny Yu. She didn’t know why Granny Yu had fallen out with Ye Mo and Aunt Yu, but she despised Granny Yu nonetheless, even if they were on the same side.
Yu He was indeed the protagonist and had that main character aura, but she was still just an ordinary person. No matter how bright her aura shined, it was nothing compared to the cultivation powers Ye Mo wielded. With Zhang Yuming gone, Yu He was now utterly alone. Her aura had dimmed with every tantrum she threw.
Ye Mo, meanwhile, had no idea how upset Yu He was. She no longer cared enough to even think about Yu He.
Lately, Ye Mo was dealing with her own small frustrations. The source? Her six little ones.
She had been letting the kids roam freely, and they’d gotten into everything. They discovered some space warriors had started practicing cultivation techniques but were doing so haphazardly. Now, her six little ones had taken it upon themselves to guide the warriors, essentially becoming their trainers.
These space warriors had even started calling the kids “little masters!”
Ye Mo was speechless. Her kids had barely learned to walk, and now they were training others? If they started running, would they become grandmasters next?
Ye Mo shared this with Mo Mo, who didn’t object. “Let them be. It might actually do some good,” Mo Mo said with a slight smile.
“You’re planning to take the troops back with you, aren’t you?” Ye Mo asked, reading between the lines. Given Mo Mo’s status in the Dark Realm, raising subordinates was completely normal.
Mo Mo shook his head. “They can’t cross over.” Even those who had died before hadn’t had their souls collected, so to build an army, it would require fallen space warriors. He didn’t have the habit of taking lives.
However, the puppet dolls could all enter the Dark Realm.
Mo Mo and Ye Mo didn’t plan to let the puppet dolls cultivate. Why? They feared it might stir memories of their past lives in the Dark Realm. If possible, they hoped that those puppet dolls would forget their dark memories and live in the sun instead.
Although the interstellar world had its flaws, Mo Mo and Ye Mo had the time and power to change it.
Of course, the extent of this change depended on their willingness.
They weren’t inclined to help everyone.
Currently, the only person they felt like aiding was Yan Mingke from District Seven. District Eight’s support of District Seven was something Mo Mo was willing to do, but as for the other districts, he had no interest in helping them.
Naturally, if those districts wanted help, it would depend on what they were willing to offer in return.
