Rescue Mission, Part 1
Mo Mo quickly organized the rescue team and communicated with the Interstellar Alliance in District 1. They would handle the immediate rescue operations, but District 1 needed to start deploying the gravity system to stabilize the planets in Districts 3 and 4 as quickly as possible.
Using wormhole jumps, Mo Mo and Ye Mo returned to District 8. The couple then split into two groups, each leading a team into Districts 3 and 4, respectively.
Their mission was broadcast live, complying with the demands of interstellar netizens. Ye Mo and Mo Mo wanted to show their full commitment to saving lives, but they also made it clear that there were limits to what they could accomplish.
Ye Mo, along with her three daughters and a team of novice cultivators in the Qi Refining stage, entered District Three. Mo Mo led the other team with their three sons into District 4.
In Ye Mo’s team was Yan Minge, who played the role of a humble soldier, following orders without question. This was surprising to the viewers, who initially assumed that the generals of Districts 7 and 8 would be leading the teams. Instead, it was the couple, Mo Mo and Ye Mo, who took charge.
Upon entering District 3, half of the team immediately collapsed under the oppressive gravitational forces. Ye Mo quickly taught them techniques for adjusting their breathing and focusing their energy, helping them to gradually stand up again, albeit unsteadily.
Seeing this, some viewers were moved to tears. “Why force them to endure this? They can barely stand in these districts.”
Ye Mo’s team of about 300 people was divided into four smaller groups. She led one herself, while her daughters, Niuniu, Yueyue, and Qianqian, each led another. It shocked the viewers to see the three little girls, barely over a year old, leading the team.
Mo Mo did the same in District 4, with their sons each leading a group. Despite the extreme conditions, Mo Mo, Ye Mo, and their six children moved with unwavering stability, demonstrating their formidable strength that even the chaos in Districts 3 and 4 couldn’t shake.
Ye Mo’s first priority was to aid the injured, as without immediate assistance, many would succumb to blood loss. The gravitational chaos didn’t just disrupt planetary orbits; it also affected the human circulatory system, causing blood to flow and bleed at an accelerated rate.
As soon as Ye Mo and the others separated, Ye Mo entrusted Yan Mingke, since he was in Ye Mo’s team, with leading the team while she darted off at incredible speed to rescue the most severely wounded. A camera followed her, capturing her lightning-fast movements—finding a critically injured person every five minutes and transporting them to her ship.
No matter how far the distance was, she would deliver one every five minutes.
“She’s so fast!” one viewer marveled.
“Is this the speed of a cultivator? Amazing!”
“At this speed, it’s still five minutes per person. Anyone thinking they can save one person per second is dreaming,” another noted. “Besides, some of these injured are so big that even the general’s wife seems to struggle to carry them.”
“You see how quickly the blood flows from the injured? Even medical personnel wouldn’t be able to manage this without her.”
“Has anyone else noticed the robots have all shut down?” another viewer pointed out.
“Yeah, they’re all down. They’re useless in situations like this when the magnetic fields are so erratic.”
“That’s expected, right? If even humans can’t walk properly, how can robots function? They’re all affected by the magnetic field.”
“Exactly! In times like this, it’s still humans who step up. You can’t rely on machines.”
Within a short period, Ye Mo rescued over a hundred severely injured individuals, all suffering from critical blood loss due to the distorted gravitational conditions. The sight of her young daughters carrying grown men weighing over a hundred pounds with ease amazed the viewers.
“Am I the only one noticing that the soldiers are calling the general’s little kid ‘master’?” one user asked.
“I noticed that too! At first, I thought I misheard, but after hearing it several times, it’s clear.”
“They’re so young and already being called masters? That’s incredible!”
“I want to be their disciple! How can I sign up?”
“I’m in too! I want to learn from them.”
“Ha, you think it’s that easy? Not everyone has the qualifications. Without the right potential, cultivation isn’t possible.”
“Exactly. Even those of us close by haven’t all succeeded in becoming cultivators. You might as well step aside.”
“It’s a shame we couldn’t join this rescue mission.”
“What’s the status of the gravity system from main Planet One?”
“Yeah, how long can Districts 7 and 8 keep this up on their own?”
Meanwhile, someone asked, “Where are the generals of Districts 3 and 4?”
“Good question. They made this mess—where have they gone?”
Questions about the whereabouts of the generals spread, but no one knew where they were hiding. The military bases in Districts 3 and 4 were deserted, and no one had seen the soldiers either.
After five days of relentless rescue work by Ye Mo and Mo Mo in Districts 3 and 4, the general of District 3 was finally found in District 2, hiding in a warship with his remaining soldiers.
Their cowardice sparked outrage throughout the interstellar community, and the general of District 3, heavily criticized, didn’t dare show his face. Citizens of District 2, outraged, surrounded the warship, demanding accountability for the catastrophic state of District 3.
The Interstellar Alliance sent representatives from District 1 to apprehend the general. As for his warship, with nowhere to go, it remained docked on an abandoned planet in District 2, leaving the remaining soldiers of District 3 feeling deeply ashamed.
Ye Mo and Mo Mo continued their rescue operations non-stop, working around the clock for several days, which deeply moved viewers.
“Please, take a break. You both look exhausted,” one commenter pleaded.
“Yes, rest for a bit. If you collapse, there will be no one left to save those people.”
