Planetary Shift, Part 1

Ye Mo learned about this situation through the butler, who, despite always being in the space, constantly gathers information from across the interstellar space. He reported the matters on Planet Elf to Ye Mo, who promptly informed Mo Mo. After all, Mo Mo didn’t have anyone dedicated to gathering news, and it wasn’t clear if anyone had reported this to him yet.

Upon receiving the news from Ye Mo, Mo Mo told her that he was already aware and had made some arrangements. Additionally, he planned to send Yan Mingke back, as even though there was a deputy general on Planet Elf, a general was still needed for a full defence if a real battle broke out.

To be honest, Yan Mingke’s presence here for rescue operations wasn’t as crucial anymore.

After finishing his conversation with Ye Mo, Mo Mo contacted Yan Mingke directly. When Yan Mingke heard that the Beast Clan had attacked Planet Elf, he was furious. “Fine, I’ll head back!”

Although staying in District 3 would be better for cultivating his abilities, the safety of Planet Elf was more important. He knew he had to make some sacrifices. Moreover, as long as he stuck with Mo Mo and Ye Mo, his cultivation wouldn’t suffer. The two of them were extremely powerful, and they wouldn’t leave him behind.

Using the wormhole and the teleportation array, Yan Mingke returned to Planet Elf quickly. Not long after his return, the Beast Clan launched another attack, with an even larger force this time. Yan Mingke employed the same battle strategy as Zhu Jun did previously.

Since they could fight without suffering any casualties, Yan Mingke didn’t want his soldiers to get hurt. Once again, they easily repelled the Beast Clan.

This fierce battle stirred up discussions online.

“I think people from Districts 7 and 8 should return to defend Planet Elf.”

“Exactly! That beautiful planet needs protection. I was hoping to visit it one day!”

“But if they return, what will happen to Districts 3 and 4?”

“All the injured have been evacuated from Districts 3 and 4. Although living conditions there are difficult, people can still survive.”

“Do you think the soldiers from Districts 3 and 4 could help fight the Beast Clan?”

“Hah! Are you sure they wouldn’t just seize territory?”

“That’s a real possibility!”

“I think General Yan can handle the Beast Clan. They haven’t even broken through the defences yet.”

“Exactly! The defences are still holding.”

“But if they do break through, everything will be lost. It would be such a shame if those beautiful treehouses were destroyed by the Beast Clan!”

“What about the researchers? Why aren’t they fixing the gravity issues in Districts 3 and 4? If they can solve that problem, life could return to normal.”

“Yeah, have they made any progress? Even a small adjustment to the gravity would improve life for the people there.”

People began calling on the researchers to step up, but there was little they could do. Although they had developed devices that could affect gravity, the chaotic magnetic fields in Districts 3 and 4 made deploying those devices impossible.

Ye Mo had already spent nearly a month in District 3 and was growing tired of it. During this time, some soldiers had even reached the seventh level of Qi cultivation, which gave her occasional opportunities to relax. While she had to control the process when jumping through wormholes, others could now cover for her during less critical moments.

As for Main Planet Three (in District 3), every time they went there, the place was in chaos, mostly due to the antics of the star lord’s wife. Yet, as more ordinary people were evacuated, it seemed she would have to stay until the very end.

Despite being the star lord’s wife, a woman who might normally get priority for evacuation, netizens insisted she should remain behind. They felt it was only fair since she had caused the most trouble. In addition, she herself had cultivated to the point where she could stand up so people like this must be last to leave. The entire interstellar population had their eyes on her. Even her husband agreed, as staying behind would avoid harming his future prospects.

Though District 3 was still in disarray, these problems would eventually be solved.

Meanwhile, on Mo Mo’s end, he had handed over the task of evacuating people to Guaiguai. Guaiguai had recently entered the Golden Core stage.

Mo Mo, however, had been focusing on studying formations, hoping to stabilize the planets in Districts 3 and 4 through arrays. He didn’t want his family tied down in these areas forever. The mess in Districts 3 and 4 had been caused by the two local generals, but Mo Mo’s family was bearing the brunt of the consequences. He didn’t want to waste any more time here.

Though this environment was conducive to the soldiers’ cultivation, Mo Mo knew his wife was already fed up with it.

Mo Mo crafted several fist-sized spheres out of unknown materials. Once they were ready, he began setting up the formation. Since this was intended to stabilize two entire districts, it was a massive undertaking, and relying solely on these spheres to balance the planets would be incredibly challenging.

Mo Mo’s understanding of formations mostly came from Ye Mo’s research. He contacted the butler, requesting all the materials in the warehouse related to formations.

The butler, aware of Mo Mo’s goal to solve the problem in Districts 3 and 4, fully supported him, providing whatever resources he needed.

As Mo Mo worked on the formation, Ye Mo also began to explore solutions for the current situation. One day, while she was on a rescue mission on the Garbage Planet, she noticed that the planet’s rotation had changed since her last visit.

Upon closer inspection, Ye Mo realized the planet had shifted from its original position.

This sparked an idea: What if moving these planets from their original orbits could alter the gravitational forces?

With this thought in mind, Ye Mo immediately contacted the soldiers on various planets, instructing them to warn everyone to brace themselves. She was going to give it a try.

Since moving planets with her Golden Core-stage strength alone was difficult, she summoned Mo Mo for help.

Mo Mo, caught off guard by the sudden summons, was still thinking about formation problems when he appeared.

Ye Mo explained her idea to Mo Mo, who asked, “Do you think this will work?”

“I believe that if the angles are right, we can achieve some balance between the planets,” Ye Mo confidently replied.
