Causing Trouble
Who would want to be constantly live-streamed?
Well, Ye Mo certainly didn’t. Even though the stream stopped once she went indoors, the feeling of being controlled was uncomfortable.
Ye Mo mentioned to Mo Mo about them being live-streamed again. Mo Mo tapped a few buttons on his wristwatch and then adjusted Ye Mo’s watch as well. He turned to the camera and said, “This is the last time. There won’t be another.”
Viewers watching the stream were puzzled.
“What last time? Did I miss something?”
“I feel like I fell asleep and now I can’t keep up with what’s happening.”
“Yeah, why did the general say it’s the last time?”
“I know! It’s probably because the Fisherman Platform has had too much control lately. They must’ve turned on the general and his wife’s live stream without asking.”
“What? That’s way over the line! Shouldn’t they get permission from the general and his wife?”
“Exactly. If the Fisherman Platform started live-streaming me without my consent, I’d sue them.”
“Even if the general and his wife are public figures, this is going too far.”
Actually, the Fisherman Platform had been given the power to access Mo Mo and Ye Mo’s wristwatches during the rescue mission for Districts Three and Four by the Interstellar Alliance. However, just because they had that authority during the mission didn’t mean it was valid now. After all, Mo Mo and Ye Mo deserved their privacy too.
As people watched the live stream, Mo Mo and Ye Mo were seen loading large, round objects into the spirit beast bags.
The viewers couldn’t quite make out what they were packing.
“Did anyone see what the general and his wife just packed?”
“Looked like a giant ball of something.”
“Yeah, a giant ball, but I swear I saw it moving.”
“What was it, exactly?”
Everyone started speculating since the camera angle was too far away to give them a clear view.
“The general moved the camera away. Otherwise, we could’ve seen it.”
“Right?! The general’s being stingy.”
“I think the general’s up to something big. Why else would he leave just as the beasts were attacking?”
“He’s definitely planning something. They won’t just sit back and let the beasts push us around.”
Ye Mo and Mo Mo carried the remaining venomous snakes to two planets where the Leopard Clan and other beast clans resided. Without much ceremony, Ye Mo fed the snakes some vitality water and released them across the planets near the beast clans’ habitats. The sheer number of venomous snakes was staggering.
Viewers were finally able to see clearly.
“Whoa! Venomous snakes!”
“Oh my God, there’s so many. There must be at least a thousand in that one ball alone!”
“Where did all these snakes come from?”
“Apparently, they were cleared out from Planet Elf. I remember there was a notice a while back that General Mo banned anyone from going outside the defence array.”
“Yeah, since then, we knew Planet Elf had a ton of venomous snakes.”
“I bet Planet Elf’s snake population has decreased by more than half now.”
“Nope, there are no snakes left on Planet Elf. The general and his wife already released a bunch of them earlier. How do you think the beast clans retreated from Districts Three and Four?”
“Wow, the general and his wife have already done so much!”
“Yeah, that’s why Madam was upset. They’ve been helping so much, but people from District Three just don’t appreciate it.”
“Exactly. Are the people of District Three human, while the general and his wife aren’t? Should they be expected to save people 24/7 until they collapse from exhaustion?”
“Why are we still arguing about this? The planets in District Three have already stabilized.”
“Why argue? Has anyone from District Three ever apologized for insulting Madam?”
“Right, has that star lord’s wife from District Three ever stepped forward to apologize?”
“Apologize!”
“Apologize +1!”
“Apologize +2!”
“Apologize +10086!”
“It’s been so long, and now you want an apology?”
“Well, we were hoping they’d apologize on their own. But it’s clear that District Three has no sense of gratitude.”
“Yeah, typical ingrate group of people.”
The conversation drifted back to the issue of Ye Mo being criticized by the people of District Three.
“Can we stop obsessing over this? We’ll go apologize to general’s wife, okay?”
“Not with that tone. If you go with that attitude, you might as well not apologize at all!”
“Exactly. That tone is enough to upset Madam.”
“No wonder Madam said she’ll never go back to District Three. Their attitude is just terrible.”
“Do you know why Lady Ye said she won’t return? She went through a lot of injustice while rescuing the people of District Three.”
“The people of District Three…”
“Not everyone in District Three is ungrateful. We on the Garbage Planet are truly thankful. Lady Ye has said herself that we’re the loveliest people in all of District Three.”
When viewers across the galaxy read that comment, many frowned. Did that mean people from other planets had treated Lady Ye terribly?
Everyone started to feel uncomfortable.
“I suddenly feel bad for forcing Lady Ye to go to District Three in the first place.”
“When that star lord’s wife started ranting, I knew we were wrong. District Three was doing fine on their own; they didn’t need anyone to save them.”
“Right. Where’s that general from District Three?”
“Isn’t he under arrest?”
“Then why are District Three’s warships still in District Two? They haven’t gone back to District Three yet.”
“They’re deserters. How could they show their faces in District Three?”
“I’ve got a feeling Districts Three and Four are in for tougher times.”
“I’ve had that feeling for a while. There are no troops stationed there now, so things could fall apart soon.”
“If General Mo had stayed, he could’ve managed Districts Three and Four.”
“Do you think anyone would want to take on that mess?”
Meanwhile, Ye Mo and Mo Mo were already on their way back to Planet Elf when they spotted a few beast clans returning.
When the beast clans saw Mo Mo and Ye Mo, they immediately surrounded them.
“It was you, wasn’t it?” one of the beasts accused, but he spoke in the Beast Clan’s language. If Ye Mo and Mo Mo hadn’t learned some of it from Lu Ke, they might have thought these beasts were speaking gibberish.
The beasts had come back after receiving a distress signal from their clan. Up until now, Ye Mo still hadn’t figured out how they communicated so efficiently. This is really too strange!
