A Secret Decision
Ye Mo paused to reflect. She hadn’t visited many places, but if she had to pick one, the location where she had previously planted some fruit would be the ideal setting for a gathering.
Ye Mo, however, picked a more remote but still close-to-the-area site since she knew that spot was probably under constant monitoring.
General Mo nodded instantly, realizing that the master’s caution was quite understandable.
General Mo was in a hurry, so they agreed to meet the next day. They also made it clear that neither of them would notify anyone else—this meeting was just between the two of them.
General Mo agreed without hesitation. After all, he believed it was enough for only him to know the master’s true identity.
Time quickly passed, and the next day arrived. Ye Mo quietly left her home without informing her grandmother and aunt, though she did tell the butler that she would be out for a while.
The butler, of course, would cover for her.
As soon as Ye Mo left the house, General Mo received the news.
After discovering that Ye Mo was pregnant, General Mo had arranged for people to monitor the area. However, he didn’t have anyone follow her, believing that even though Ye Mo was pregnant, she still had her freedom.
His subordinates only informed him when Ye Mo left the house.
General Mo felt a bit tense when he heard Ye Mo had gone out, especially since Prince Caser’s men hadn’t left yet. He was worried that Caser might still be interested in Ye Mo.
Yet, he couldn’t miss this meeting with the master. It was like the old saying: one cannot be loyal to both family and country. He felt torn.
He thought about having someone follow Ye Mo, but then reconsidered. Given the location Ye Mo had chosen last time, and her sharp instincts, he decided it was better not to risk it. She was too clever!
General Mo was already waiting near the outskirts, where there was an easily recognizable abandoned tower.
Ye Mo arrived after circling the aircraft around the area.
When General Mo saw the aircraft, he was stunned. But when he saw Ye Mo step out of it, he was completely shocked.
Ye Mo is the master? The master is Ye Mo? General Mo’s heart surged with emotion. If before he had decided to protect Ye Mo and her unborn child regardless of whether it was his, he now firmly resolved that this woman had to be by his side. He would not let anyone else have her.
Ye Mo was also surprised when she saw General Mo. Wasn’t this the handsome guy she had seen naked in her previous life?
“General Mo!” Ye Mo greeted him.
General Mo was momentarily confused. Should he call her “Master” or “Ye Mo”?
Ye Mo stated, “You can just call me Ye Mo,” with no intention of hiding who she was. She didn’t think she was weak enough to be readily intimidated. It would be like having a guarantee for when she had to injure people if General Mo was supporting her.
“Hello, Miss Ye Mo,” General Mo extended his hand. He didn’t want to call her “Master,” especially since there was a possibility that the child she was carrying was his.
Ye Mo noticed that this guy didn’t seem to have memories of their past life. Had he not awakened? Or maybe those memories were buried deep? Or was this guy just a clone?
They shook hands briefly, and General Mo blushed. Luckily, Ye Mo wasn’t looking directly at him, so she didn’t notice.
“Miss Ye Mo, you’re pregnant, right?” General Mo asked.
“You’re quite observant, General Mo.”
General Mo shook his head. “I heard it from Yan Mingxiu.” He was actually a bit suspicious. How could someone change so drastically?
According to Yan Mingxiu, before Ye Mo got pregnant, she was very shy and didn’t know how to do anything.
But now… General Mo wondered if she had been replaced. If she had always been a plant master, it wouldn’t have been possible for her to hide it for so long or to not fight back when she was being bullied.
“So that’s how it is!” Ye Mo smiled.
“I’ve arranged for a house nearby. Would you like to rest there, Miss Ye Mo?” General Mo offered.
Ye Mo thought it wouldn’t be practical to discuss things outside for too long, so she agreed.
The house was a small, simple structure not far from where they were. When Ye Mo entered, she found that, despite its modest size, it was quite elegantly furnished inside.
General Mo invited her to sit on the sofa and even brought her a glass of water.
Yemo scanned the room and found no monitoring devices, which put her at ease.
They sat quietly on the sofa, but General Mo was starting to feel restless. He thought about how he should interact with Ye Mo now.
If he suddenly claimed to be the father of her child, would Ye Mo get angry and never speak to him again? But if he kept it a secret, would things get worse later?
Right now, General Mo was too afraid to reveal that he was the father. He feared Ye Mo might suddenly run away, and then he would never be able to find her again.
He didn’t doubt that Ye Mo could do it; he had sensed the powerful aura around her. She was at least stronger than half of his soldiers.
So, he made a decision. He would first build a good relationship with Ye Mo, and as their feelings deepened, he would bring up the child when the time was right.
In any case, Ye Mo wouldn’t be able to be with anyone else. He wouldn’t let her leave his side.
Ye Mo took out a Level 4 watermelon, cut it open, and invited General Mo to share it with her.
General Mo didn’t hesitate. As he ate, he started discussing the topic of growing fruit trees.
“Miss Ye Mo, I don’t have many requests. Could you help our military plant two fruit trees each month? We don’t need fruits above Level 5; anything below that will do. We can pay you per fruit, not less than the market price,” General Mo was seriously discussing business.
Ye Mo looked at him and asked, “Where would they be planted? You need to consider this carefully. If you only want fruits above Level 5, I could provide some nutrient solution so you can grow Level 6 fruits yourself.”
General Mo’s eyes lit up. “Is that possible?”
Growing the fruits themselves would be the best option. It would allow Ye Mo to stay hidden and reduce the frequency of her outings.
“No problem. I can provide you with a barrel of nutrient solution every month. You should be able to grow two fruit trees with that.”
“And the time it takes for them to bear fruit?” General Mo had seen videos where the trees bore fruit in less than half an hour, but they only lasted two days after moving the trees back. Each tree yielded less than ten fruits.
When Ye Mo picked the last batch of fruits, these trees had lost most of their vitality. The fact that they lasted two days is a testament to the skills of those botanical researchers.
