Confession
Mo Mo returned to the villa and immediately went to report his success to Ye Mo.
Ye Mo didn’t expect Mo Mo to go so far as to become a busybody, stirring up trouble to avenge her. She couldn’t help but give him a thumbs up.
At that moment, Mo Mo said, “Miss Ye Mo, to avoid arousing suspicion from Prince Caser, I told him that you’re carrying my child.”
“What?” Ye Mo was so shocked by his words that she almost bit her tongue. “General Mo, how could you say something like that?”
Mo Mo wanted to tell her that she *is* carrying his child, but he didn’t dare. He feared she might kick him away.
“Miss Ye Mo, you need a shield, don’t you? I’m willing to be that shield,” Mo Mo said sincerely.
“No, no need!” Ye Mo thought to herself, *I don’t even know who the father of this child is, so why are you claiming to be the dad?*
“Momo!” Mo Mo suddenly knelt in front of Ye Mo and grabbed her small hand. “Momo, let me take care of you, okay?”
Ye Mo was startled by his sudden shift from calling her “Miss Ye Mo” to “Momo.” She nearly flung him away.
“General Mo, let me think about it, okay?” Ye Mo was a bit overwhelmed by his intensity. *Is he desperate because of his low fertility?* But that couldn’t be right, considering his fertility value had already reached twenty-eight…
Ye Mo frowned slightly, unsure how to reject Mo Mo. After all, with a face like his, it was hard to say no. Refusing such a handsome man felt like wasting a treasure. And honestly, wouldn’t her unborn child appreciate having such a good-looking father?
Later that night, as Ye Mo lay in bed, she gently patted her belly. “Little one, would you like him as your dad? If you do, jump twice. If not, jump three times.”
Then she felt the little one inside her jump twice.
“You want him? You really want him? Why?” Ye Mo asked, puzzled.
The little one inside her began to jump vigorously, trying to convey that he could feel Mo Mo was his father, though he couldn’t speak. (the baby’s gender hasn’t been announced yet so I am just using ‘he’ to refer to the baby because, in the Chinese novel, the author refers to the baby using the character ‘他‘)
Ye Mo was startled. “Okay, okay, I won’t question it anymore. Just stop jumping. If you keep this up, you’ll jump right out of me! I’ll accept him as your dad, okay?”
To be honest, Mo Mo was so handsome that Ye Mo really did enjoy being around him. After spending time together, she could tell that Mo Mo genuinely cared for her. Whether it was because of her status as a master or because she was pregnant, both roles were hers, so she didn’t dwell on it too much. She didn’t mind if it was her identity as a master or as a pregnant woman that attracted him.
Moreover, from what she had learned on the Star network, Mo Mo was very popular among women. If he wanted to, more than half the women in the galaxy would probably be willing to be with him.
But Ye Mo didn’t want to agree too quickly. After all, she had told Mo Mo she needed two days to think about it.
Over the next few days, Mo Mo became even more attentive. However, during this time, Grandma Yu’s friends also started frequenting their villa. Fortunately, the garden had already been cleared out; otherwise, those women’s eyes would have been like radar.
Thankfully, they couldn’t access the third floor, or they would have tried to storm in and inspect every room.
These women believed there was a floral scent in the villa. Although Grandma Yu insisted it was just perfume, they were unconvinced because they had never smelled such a pleasant fragrance before.
Grandma Yu was starting to get a headache listening to them. She regretted letting them in because now it was impossible to get rid of them.
These women came over every day, like clockwork, making their way to the villa.
It was fortunate that Ye Mo had kept the fruit she prepared in a safe place. Otherwise, it would have been discovered long ago.
But even so, the snacks prepared in the kitchen were quickly devoured by these women.
Grandma Yu felt powerless; she couldn’t stop them.
It wasn’t until the butler noticed Grandma Yu’s discomfort that he took matters into his own hands, refusing to let these women in the next day and even removing the doorbell. Finally, the villa returned to peace.
Grandma Yu collapsed onto the living room sofa. “If I’d known they were so troublesome and terrifying, I wouldn’t have gotten involved with them.”
“Mom, what are they looking for?” Aunt Yu frowned. She didn’t like the calculating looks those old women gave her.
“They probably suspect that we had flowers in our garden,” Grandma Yu explained, understanding their suspicions. They were likely looking for the home of Ye Mo’s grandparents.
“They have sharp noses, alright. Thankfully, Momo cleared the garden. If they had found out, we’d be in big trouble,” Aunt Yu said, frowning. Lately, Fang Dawei had been harassing her with phone calls. Even though she blocked unknown numbers, she had accidentally answered his calls twice.
Every time Fang Dawei got through, he would confess his love. In the past, Aunt Yu might have felt pleased, but now she was just disgusted.
She could guess Fang Dawei’s intentions. He was probably after her niece. He even convinced his mother to call her.
When Aunt Yu heard Fang’s mother’s arrogant voice again, she was disgusted.
Fang’s mother had said, “Yu Minjia, I won’t hold it against you that you can’t have children. If you want to come back, hurry up and stop stringing Dawei along!”
Aunt Yu was so angry she almost laughed. “Let me be clear: I’m not stringing him along. And by the way, keep your son on a leash and stop letting him hang around my old house. The neighbors are sick of him. And my niece is not someone you can manipulate, so if you know what’s good for you, back off!”
Her words nearly made Fang’s mother explode with anger, but she knew her son was after the value of that baby. Many people had contacted them, trying to get their hands on that baby. The price had already reached 100 million but no one could find Ye Mo.
Now, the only people they could contact were Grandma Yu and Aunt Yu. With the disappearance of Yu Fengqi’s family, the only person left to manipulate was Aunt Yu. Unfortunately for them, Aunt Yu had been deeply hurt by the Fang family.
So, the entire Fang family agreed that Fang Dawei should try to contact Aunt Yu. No matter what it took, they needed to make her happy again. Only then might she help them bring back the pregnant Ye Mo.
