Discovering the Valley

Ye Mo couldn’t help but smile at her aunt’s comment. “Just wait and see, Auntie!”

Mo Mo drove them deeper into the wilderness. As they ventured further, the number of beasts increased, and the satellite surveillance above became increasingly sparse.

As they continued, they approached an area filled with large, dangerous beasts. Although the situation seemed perilous, Ye Mo assured them that this was the safest place.

Before long, they arrived at a massive valley. The valley looked strange, but Ye Mo was thrilled. “This is it.”

“Ye Mo, there’s a peculiar magnetic field here. Even satellites can’t monitor this place.”

“There’s a natural formation here that makes it the safest place.”

Mo Mo noticed that while their vehicle couldn’t enter the valley, they could walk in just fine—as long as they followed Ye Mo’s exact footsteps.

Mo Mo and Auntie carefully followed Ye Mo into the valley, and as soon as they entered, they were stunned.

Inside, they found a beautiful world filled with flowers, trees, and a grove of fruit trees, all laden with ripe fruit. The only downside was the thick layer of fallen fruit on the ground. Oddly, there were no birds or insects around.

Ye Mo looked at the grove and remarked, “I wonder which powerful being left this behind. These fruit trees are producing what appears to be eighth-level fruit.”

“Eighth-level fruit?” Mo Mo’s eyes lit up.

“Yes, they have the energy of eighth-level fruits. As for whether their effects are the same, we’ll need to test them.”

“We’ll have to get someone to try them out. After all, there are plenty of people across the galaxy who haven’t tasted fruit in ages!” Mo Mo smiled, clearly pleased with the abundance.

“Let’s find a place to set up our home first,” Ye Mo suggested. She had originally planned to set up a formation herself, but now it seemed unnecessary.

She hadn’t expected to find such a perfect natural spot on Kamo Star.

Soon, Ye Mo found a flat, solid area devoid of grass. She casually tossed the miniature courtyard she had earlier onto the ground, and within moments, it expanded into a full-sized courtyard.

Both Auntie and Mo were dumbfounded.

“What is this?” Mo Mo stammered, pointing at the courtyard.

“It’s a magical house. You can bring it out when you need it and put it away when you don’t.” Ye Mo winked and headed toward the courtyard’s entrance.

Mo Mo and Aunt Yu followed her, with Aunt Yu particularly excited since she had chosen this courtyard.

Once inside, they found the layout exactly the same as the miniature version they had seen earlier. Even the small pond in the courtyard was identical, though it was currently dry.

Ye Mo let them explore freely while she filled the pond with a mixture of regular water and Life Water. As soon as the Life Water touched the pond, the atmosphere in the courtyard became noticeably fresher.

While Mo Mo and Aunt Yu explored the courtyard, Ye Mo quickly headed to the fruit grove. The layer of rotting fruit on the ground made the area smell unpleasant, so she cast a spell to bury the decomposing fruit underground, where it could nourish the trees.

With her spell, the grove was quickly cleaned up. Ye Mo decided not to use magic to pick the fruit—she figured her aunt would enjoy that task.

Meanwhile, Aunt Yu was busy arranging the rooms in the courtyard. She had already set up rooms for Ye Mo and Mo Mo next to each other. Originally, she wanted them to share a room, but Mo Mo had declined. Still, having their rooms side by side made him happy.

Auntie also found a comfortable room for herself and planned to discuss bringing the butler and the cook over with Ye Mo. After all, Ye Mo had grown accustomed to their cooking and care.

By this time, Mo Mo had set up a teleportation point using his wristwatch, which had such a function. However, Auntie and Ye Mo’s wristwatches weren’t as advanced. Mo Mo decided to get them both watches of the same level, even though they were hard to come by—he had his ways.

Just then, Aunt Yu received a call from Grandma Yu. The moment she answered, she heard Grandma Yu’s tearful voice.

“Minjia, I’ve been captured. I have no idea where I am. What should I do?”

“Mom, weren’t you just meeting a friend for cards?”

“I was, but something happened. When I woke up, I was locked in a dark room. Minjia, you have to save me!”

“Mom, did they say what they wanted?” Aunt Yu was feeling exhausted.

“They said they only want Ye Mo’s baby, nothing else.”

“Mom, Ye Mo hasn’t even given birth yet!” Auntie clenched her fists. She didn’t remember her mother being such a coward.

“Minjia, they said they can extract the baby. They promise not to hurt Momo’s body.”

“Mom, do you mean they want to cut the baby out of Ye Mo?” Auntie was furious. Grandma Yu used to be so protective of Ye Mo, so why was her love now so twisted?

“Minjia, I’m your mother.”

“Mom, and Ye Mo is my niece.”

“No, she’s not!”

“Mom, what are you talking about?”

“She’s not Ye Mo. She’s a demon. She’s not the sweet girl she used to be. My Ye Mo would have cared about her father, but this Ye Mo doesn’t. Do you think she still cares about your brother?”

“Mom, do you realize how absurd you sound? When did my brother ever care about Ye Mo? She’s been deeply hurt by him, and you used to think that was for the best.”

“That’s different. Your brother is dying, but she still doesn’t care.”

“Mom, didn’t my brother try to kill Ye Mo? If she hadn’t been lucky, she would have died. Mom, I’ll find someone to rescue you, but I won’t sacrifice Ye Mo.” Aunt Yu was firm. Ye Mo was carrying a child, and that was more important than Grandma Yu’s life.

Even though Grandma Yu was her biological mother, Aunt Yu had no intention of betraying Ye Mo.

She looked at Mo Mo, who had already tracked down Grandma’s location using satellite data.

“She’s not far from home,” Mo said.

“Then it must be at her friend’s house. I knew she’d get herself into trouble,” Auntie sighed. “I’ll go find someone to get her!” Mo Mo said as he headed out the door.
