Just Like That, They Got Married
Ye Mo had always been amazed by the learning abilities of these robots. They could scan entire books and upload the information directly into their chips.
Even though she prided herself on her strong learning and memory capabilities, if she had to memorize all this information, it would take her at least ten days.
Sighing, Ye Mo wondered if robots could eventually replace humans. After all, they still needed charging. If humans stopped providing them with power, wouldn’t they be doomed?
But then again, many robots now use energy stones. As long as they had those, what couldn’t they do?
Shaking her head, Ye Mo thought she might be overthinking things. After all, on Kamo Star, there weren’t any overly powerful robots. The strongest ones were usually deployed on battlefields.
Ye Mo swiftly left the area. Looking at the robots made her think too much. She returned to the courtyard and sat in the pavilion above the pond. The pond now had water in it, and a few small fish swam around.
She suspected Mo Mo had done this, though she didn’t know when.
Ye Mo dropped a couple of drops of Life Water into the pond. Immediately, the small fish gathered at her feet, frantically trying to consume the water.
They were all in the water—how could they even see the Life Water?
But as she watched the fish quickly grow larger, Ye Mo realized they could indeed detect the Life Water.
In just a short moment, the small fish in the pond had all become large fish.
Feeling a bit of excitement, Ye Mo looked down at her large belly and the glowing light inside. She suddenly felt an overwhelming urge to see what kind of little one was inside her. What should she do?
“Little one, do you want to come out now?” Ye Mo couldn’t help but ask.
The small glowing ball inside her belly jumped. “No, no, we still want to stay here for two more days!”
But Ye Mo misunderstood the response. “You do want to come out? I’ll go back into the space and soak in the Yang side water. You should be able to come out quickly then.”
Ye Mo stood up, but as she did, a sharp pain shot through her belly. “Is this because you don’t want to come out?” She slowly sat back down, and the pain subsided.
“So you don’t want to come out and see mommy yet?” Ye Mo felt a bit disappointed.
The small glowing ball inside her became anxious. “No! It’s not that! We want to see Mommy, but we also want to stay in Mommy’s belly because it’s so warm here!”
Unfortunately, Ye Mo couldn’t understand what the little one was trying to say. Seeing it jump around so much, she thought it didn’t want to meet her.
Sighing, Ye Mo said, “Is it because you don’t want to be a child without a father? Do I need to marry Mo Mo before you can be born?”
At that moment, Mo Mo happened to walk by and overheard Ye Mo’s words. He was overjoyed, holding a bouquet of flowers he had picked from the roof of the Ye residence. He approached Ye Mo and, kneeling down on one knee, asked, “Momo, will you marry me?”
Ye Mo was startled, her heart skipping a beat at the sight of Mo kneeling before her.
“Do you really want to marry me?”
“Momo, you know I’ve been pursuing you all this time!”
“But I’m not the most beautiful.”
“No, to me, you’re the most beautiful.”
“There are many girls chasing after you.”
“They aren’t you!”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m absolutely sure. I even looked it up on the Star Network. In ancient times, people proposed with flower rings. Look, this is the star ring I prepared. It allows us to locate and teleport to each other.”
Ye Mo extended her hand, curious to see this powerful star ring.
Mo slid the ring onto her finger, and Ye Mo did the same for him. With a few quick motions, Mo Mo had their star rings bound together.
Taking advantage of the moment, Mo Mo pulled Ye Mo onto the Star Network to register their marriage. In less than ten minutes, they had their marriage certificate in hand.
The proposal and the wedding took no more than ten minutes. The speed was astonishing!
Holding the marriage certificate, Mo Mo couldn’t stop grinning.
Meanwhile, a notification flashed across the entire Star Network: General Mo has successfully registered his marriage!
No one had expected that Mo Mo’s marriage would instantly make it to the top of the Star Network announcements.
Everyone now knew that Mo Mo was married, but no one knew who his wife was. All information about Ye Mo had been placed under S-level protection by Mo Mo. No one below the rank of general could access it.
In the entire interstellar system, there were fewer than fifty people at the rank of general or higher. Most of them were too busy to care, and even if they could access the information, Ye Mo’s identity didn’t concern them.
When the Mo family saw the news, they were furious. Ever since Mo had executed the woman from the Yan family, the tension between the Mo family and the Yan family had escalated to a breaking point.
Now that the news of Mo Mo’s marriage had broken, the Yan family was enraged. They believed the Mo family had deceived them. After all, the marriage between the two families had been serious, but now the woman they had intended for Mo Mo was dead, and Mo Mo had married someone else within days.
If this wasn’t deception, then what was it?
Unfortunately for the Yan family, it was the Mo family who had agreed to the marriage, not Mo Mo himself. Otherwise, the Yan family might have tried to seize power from him.
But the Mo family had no authority over Mo Mo, and the Yan family had even less.
Just then, Aunt Yu came running over. Seeing Mo Mo and Ye Mo together, she excitedly asked, “You two are married now! Shouldn’t we celebrate?”
“This is a joyous occasion!” she added.
“Just the three of us, Aunt. We can celebrate during dinner,” Ye Mo said with a smile.
Mo Mo chimed in, “Let’s have a grand wedding at the camp!”
“Isn’t that a bit too much?” Ye Mo blinked.
“Momo, we only get one wedding,” Mo Mo said. He wanted to give her a grand celebration.
Ye Mo pointed to her belly. “But what about this? How can we have a wedding with my belly so big?”
“How about we wait until after the baby is born?” Mo Mo gently patted Ye Mo’s belly. “Little ones, when will you come out?”
The small glowing ball in Ye Mo’s belly jumped again. Ye Mo still couldn’t understand what it meant. “If you want to come out now, jump twice. If you want to stay inside, jump once.”
The small glowing ball jumped once. They still wanted to stay in mommy’s belly.
Ye Mo shrugged. “It seems they don’t want to come out yet. How about we wait until after they’re born? We can celebrate their first month and our wedding together.”
