Interstellar Crisis, Part 2
“You…” Ye Mo wanted to ask, didn’t you regain your memory.
Mo Mo smiled at this moment, “Even if I’ve regained my memory, you are still my woman, and you’re carrying my child.”
Mo Mo was quite pleased with this outcome. He now knew a lot more, such as the fact that Qin Lin had been pursuing his little girl all along.
Mo Mo took Ye Mo’s hand and began to set up another formation around the valley, one powerful enough that it would go unnoticed by Qin Lin.
Mo Mo understood very well that while he would be heading to the battlefield, Qin Lin definitely wouldn’t. As a prince, Qin Lin enjoyed many privileges. Although Qin Lin might not have regained his memory yet, Mo Mo had. He believed that Qin Lin would regain his memory before long, and when that happened, he would surely come looking for his little girl. To avoid unnecessary trouble, it was better to keep the valley hidden.
Mo Mo was still very relieved about Ye Mo. After all, with her belly this large, it wasn’t like she could run off anywhere else.
Ye Mo watched as Mo Mo set up the formation and explained how to enter and exit, as well as how to use it. After all, too many people in the interstellar world coveted her, especially for the vitality water she possessed.
Ye Mo handed Mo Mo a large barrel of unprocessed vitality water, and then another large barrel filled with Yin water. The energy within the water made Mo Mo’s eyes light up—this little girl still had plenty of secrets.
Ye Mo also gave Mo Mo a large number of fruits ranging from level one to four, which could save soldiers’ lives on the battlefield.
Mo Mo planted a kiss on Ye Mo’s forehead. “Be good, and make sure you wait for me!” I can’t let Qin Lin weasel his way in.
“Mm,” Ye Mo responded. If, back in the Dark World, there had been a kind of hierarchy suppressing their relationship, it no longer existed now. Especially since Mo Mo was truly gentle—completely different from how he had been in the Dark World. He was just the same as before he regained his memory.
If Ye Mo’s current thoughts were known to Mo Mo, he would probably mock himself. How could it be any different? It was clear that his wife didn’t fully trust him, otherwise, why would she have waited until now to let him restore his genetic health to 100%?
Mo Mo knew he could have done it earlier, but since Ye Mo hadn’t wanted him to, he hadn’t. In hindsight, it was a good thing he listened to his wife—otherwise, things could have gotten complicated.
After Mo Mo left, he knew that Ye Mo could take care of herself. The only person he needed to be wary of was Qin Lin, who was a wildcard.
After Mo Mo left, Ye Mo returned to the courtyard. With her belly this large, there was nothing she could do to help.
But… Ye Mo decided she could take the opportunity to plant some fruit trees.
When Mo Mo returned to the camp, all the interstellar soldiers who were leaving with him had already assembled.
Just as Mo Mo and his troops were about to leave District Eight via the transport point, many self-organized civilian groups followed them.
Mo Mo tried to persuade them to stay, but they insisted on coming along. There were about two thousand humans—a considerable number.
“You can follow us, but you must obey orders. If not, don’t blame us for leaving you behind,” Mo Mo said seriously. In his command, disobedience meant elimination. He was going to fight, not to babysit a bunch of people. He had no patience for dealing with anyone except Ye Mo.
When Mo Mo left through the teleportation array, he saw Qin Lin standing there, with Yu He by his side. Mo Mo smiled. That guy hadn’t regained his memory yet—he wondered if Qin Lin would cry when he did.
Even though Ye Mo had come to this world halfway through, the original owner harbored a lot of resentment toward Yu He. Mo Mo was sure Ye Mo would dislike Qin Lin as a result.
When Qin Lin saw Mo Mo leave, he gave him a strange smile that made Qin Lin feel uneasy.
What was going on? Why did he smile at me like that? Why did I feel like I lost something? But what exactly had he lost?
Although Qin Lin had this feeling, he didn’t think he had really lost anything—just a vague sense of emptiness.
At that moment, Yu He tugged at Qin Lin’s sleeve. “Your Highness, you promised to help me find my sister. I miss her so much!”
Qin Lin didn’t believe Yu He missed her sister that much, but she was his most beloved woman now, so he needed to make a gesture.
“Alright, I’ll have someone look into it immediately!” Qin Lin knew that Ye Mo was with Mo Mo, but he still had to put on a show.
That guy Mo Mo had actually hidden his beauty away, and now even had a child with her. This made Qin Lin feel a little envious. He had been trying, but none of his women had managed to get pregnant, despite his high fertility rate.
This frustrated Qin Lin. He even wanted to capture Ye Mo and study how she had managed to conceive so quickly.
“Thank you, Your Highness. I won’t be at ease until we find my sister!” Yu He wasn’t just uneasy—she despised that woman. She feared that one day, Ye Mo would reappear and take everything away from her.
Yu He had this feeling that as long as Ye Mo was around, she would lose everything.
She had also entrusted this matter to Zhang Yuming, but there had been no news from him. Now, the only person she could rely on was Qin Lin. However, if she told Qin Lin she wanted to deal with Ye Mo, he wouldn’t be happy about it, so she had to use the excuse of missing her sister.
She was confident that Qin Lin would be eager to help, seeing how much she seemed to care for her sister.
As long as she could get Ye Mo under her thumb, she was sure Ye Mo wouldn’t be able to escape her grasp.
Ye Mo was unaware that Yu He was still thinking about her. She thought that as long as she stayed away from the female lead, she could live in peace.
Even though Mo Mo had left, Ye Mo was quite happy in the valley. Every day, she and her aunt would spend time in the valley, picking vegetables that were far tastier than those sold online.
Aunt Yu no longer wanted to eat vegetables bought online, especially since Ye Mo had somehow produced a batch of grain. Now, Aunt Yu was hardly interested in the online world.
Grandma Yu had been trying to contact Aunt Yu and Ye Mo for the past few days, but Aunt Yu found her to be a nuisance and told Ye Mo, “Momo, you should block your grandma. Her constant disturbances are affecting your daily rest!”
