Sending Grandma Away
While Ye Mo was watching the events unfold, Aunt Yu stood behind her, also observing everything.
The butler had already explained the whole situation to Aunt Yu. She turned to him and said, “Butler, help me buy a small house in the wealthy district.”
The butler looked at her in confusion, and Aunt Yu smiled, explaining, “I’m going to buy a house for my mother in the wealthy district so she can move out of the villa.”
Aunt Yu felt that her mother had gone too far. Momo had always treated her so well, yet here she was, trying to bring wolves into the house, even plotting to take Momo’s villa.
Although Grandma Yu hadn’t acted at the door, Aunt Yu could see the greed in her eyes.
Aunt Yu found it amusing. While she wasn’t entirely sure how much power Ye Mo held, the fact that she had a connection with General Mo was enough to show that Momo had strong backing.
Did her mother really think giving up a pearl for a worthless stone was worth it?
Wasn’t Momo good enough?
Was her brother really so important to her?
Yu He and Zhang Yuming clearly had ulterior motives, but she still wanted to invite them into the house.
What was she thinking?
Soon, the butler had located a house in the wealthy district, and Aunt Yu purchased it on the spot. She even put it in Grandma Yu’s name and had the deed sent directly to her.
At that moment, Grandma Yu was still standing at the villa door, scheming how to get Yu He to agree to let her keep the villa.
But she had no idea that Aunt Yu had already made up her mind to move her out.
Meanwhile, the villa’s butler was packing up Grandma Yu’s belongings and having them shipped to the new house.
Grandma Yu finally decided to open the door, ready to negotiate with Yu He and Zhang Yuming. But as soon as she opened it, they rushed forward, only to find that they couldn’t enter the villa at all.
The two of them were dumbfounded. Yu He called out, “Grandma, why can’t we get in?”
Grandma Yu replied, “This villa is mine, so naturally, you can’t come in.”
“Grandma, didn’t you invite me over as a guest? Why aren’t you letting us in?”
“Yu He, you know very well why you’re here,” Grandma Yu said with a cold smile. “I heard everything you just said. You want to capture Ye Mo, don’t you? Well, you’re going about it all wrong. She doesn’t even care about me anymore. You’ll have to find your aunt.”
“My aunt?” Yu He widened her eyes in surprise.
“Yes, your aunt is with Ye Mo now. No one else knows where she is, not even me,” Grandma Yu said as she eyed the men beside Zhang Yuming, who seemed ready to pounce. “You won’t get anywhere by capturing me.”
“Grandma, it doesn’t hurt to try,” Zhang Yuming reached out to grab her but quickly realized he couldn’t get close.
Grandma Yu chuckled, “I’m the only one who can come and go freely in this villa. If you want to enter, you’ll need me. Still want this villa?”
“Grandma, what are you planning to do?” Yu He asked, her frustration growing, especially since someone from Prince Caser’s side had just come with a message for her to return quickly.
“This villa is mine. If you want Ye Mo, go get her. Just don’t get in my way,” Grandma Yu said as she started to close the door. At that moment, several flying vehicles appeared overhead.
The interstellar police had arrived, patrolling the area. “Madam Yu, we’ve been tasked with escorting you home!”
“Escort me home?” Grandma Yu was stunned.
Before she could react, the butler gently pushed her outside. “Madam Yu, stop trying to scheme your way into our young mistress’s villa. Your daughter has bought you a house in the wealthy district, and I’ve already sent your things there.”
With that, the butler closed the door.
The interstellar police glanced at Yu He and Zhang Yuming, “What are you doing here?”
“We’re just passing through,” Zhang Yuming replied quickly before leading his men away.
Meanwhile, Grandma Yu was escorted into one of the flying vehicles, which promptly flew out of the villa district.
Yu He let out a long sigh. How did things turn out like this? She thought Grandma Yu had control over the villa, but now she had been sent away so easily.
Yu He stared at the villa, her face dark with frustration. She wanted so badly for the villa to be hers.
She clenched her fists. Why? Why was Ye Mo so lucky, while she was not?
Why did Ye Mo have so much wealth, while she had nothing?
After all, they shared the same father and grew up in the same family.
Yu He’s nails dug into her palms. She was filled with resentment, but there was nothing she could do—she couldn’t even step foot in the villa.
Ye Mo coldly watched Yu He through the surveillance system. To her, this woman was no longer a threat.
However, Ye Mo did admire the new butler for thinking of hiring interstellar police to escort Grandma Yu away. This move had clearly rattled both Zhang Yuming and Yu He. Even if they planned to use Grandma Yu in the future, they’d have to think twice now.
Grandma Yu was soon dropped off at a house in the wealthy district. It was a decent two-story home with a front and back garden.
When she was left in the yard, Grandma Yu was still in a daze. But when she received the property deed and saw that she was the owner, she was even more confused.
“What’s going on? Why was I brought here?”
“Madam Yu, your daughter bought this house for you. She said you should live here from now on. As for the villa, stop dreaming about it!” one of the interstellar police officers said disdainfully.
They had received plenty of information from the butler and had witnessed Grandma Yu scheming to take over the villa, so they had no respect for her.
After delivering the message, they left, leaving Grandma Yu sitting in the yard, dumbfounded.
Finally, Ye Mo could relax. Whatever happened to Grandma Yu from now on was her own business. Ye Mo didn’t intend to waste any more energy on her.
Aunt Yu, on the other hand, was feeling a bit anxious these days. She had a strong feeling that Ye Mo was about to give birth. Even though everything had been prepared, she still felt like something was missing.
Her nervousness also affected the butler. Hearing Aunt Yu’s concerns, he too began to feel that something wasn’t quite right. But what exactly was missing?
Ye Mo looked at Aunt Yu and the butler, who were fussing around her, and couldn’t help but feel a bit speechless, “Aunt, Butler, what’s going on with you two?”
